Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day May 29th!

Hey there! How are you doing this busy Memorial Day weekend? Friday night we watched our oldest grandson graduate 8th grade, yesterday we attended our nephew's wedding, this morning we will watch two of our grandchildren, Liam & Darcy, be baptized, and tomorrow we celebrate Avara's 2nd birthday! How's that for an action-packed weekend?

I just have a little bit of time left to post a few swaps for you to enjoy today, all created with the Sending Smiles Bundle!

First, Daveda Leppke combined the Sending Smiles bundle with Orchid Oasis, Mango Melody, and the Gingham embossing folder:

Stampin’ Up! Starry Sky Tulip Fields!

Hey there! Today's card is another one created with the Tulip Fields Bundle! I can't believe I've waited so long to play with this set of stamps and dies, they are so fun!

For this card I decided I wanted to give it a bit of a "tile" look, so I stamped the windmill on four Basic White squares, each 1 7/8" x 1 7/8", with Starry Sky ink.

After stamping, I then pressed the Versamark ink pad directly on each square, sprinkled all over with Clear Embossing Powder, then heated with my Heat Tool. After letting the clear embossing cool for a few seconds, I then repeated the process with more Versamark, clear powder, and heating. I did a third round of clear embossing before I decided to be done. The squares were kind of warped from the heat and the thick layer of embossing, but I put several dimensionals on the back of each one to make them lay flat.

One thing you have to be careful of when using the Heat Tool is to not scorch the paper, which is what happened on the square on the left. I decided to leave it so I could show you what the scorching looks like.

I stamped the birthday greeting from Charming Sentiments with Starry Sky ink on a scrap of Basic White, then cut with a Sentiment Silhouettes die. I finished off the front with a couple of Iridescent Rhinestones to flank the greeting.

Inside I stamped another Charming Sentiments phrase and the windmill one more time with Starry Sky ink.

Tulip Fields and Windmill Fields dies will be on the Last Chance Retiring List starting on June 1st! The Windmill Fields dies will be discounted 50%, which will make ordering the stamps and dies separately a lot cheaper than buying the bundle!

Stampin’ Up! Starry Sky Tulip Fields!

Stampin’ Up! Tulip Fields!

Hey there! Today I have another "scenery" card to share, created with the Tulips Fields stamp set and Windmill Fields dies. Both are on the Last Chance Retiring List for the January/June 2022 Mini Catalog. The list, and the discounts included on the list, go into effect on June 1st, so I wanted to start showing you some creations with items that will be retiring on June 30th!

The Tulip Fields Bundle ($45.75) saves you 10% when you buy the bundle instead of the stamps and dies separately. Starting on June 1st, the Windmill Fields dies will be 50% off ($16.50 instead of $33), so it will be a better deal to order them separately than as a bundle. You will save $11.25 by ordering the stamps and the dies separately.

I started with a card base and envelope from the Heart & Home Memories & More Cards & Envelopes pack. These are also on the Last Chance Retiring List and are discounted 10%, so instead of $10 for the pack of 20 cards and coordinating envelopes, you will pay $9! I added a strip behind the focal image layer of Heart & Home Designer Paper, also on the Last Chance List and discounted 10%.

I created my scene with images all from the Tulip Fields stamp set, stamped with Night of Navy (windmill), stamped-off-once Night of Navy (clouds), Soft Succulent and Soft Suede (trees and tree trunks). I used Stampin' Write Markers directly on the tree image to get the two colors, then used the Soft Succulent marker to hand-draw the grass and tulip stems/leaves. I cut Polished Pink In Color Designer Paper for the tulip blooms with a Windmill Fields die, and the bicycle (also from the Windmill Fields dies) from Starry Sky In Color Designer Paper. I cut the windmill with a coordinating Windmill Fields die, then added it with dimensionals.

I felt that such a detailed scene with fine images needed a greeting that didn't overpower, so I found this small "happy birthday" in the Waves of Inspiration stamp set and stamped it with Night of Navy ink. I then cut it with a Waves die, added with Stampin' Seal, then cut out two individual tulips from the line of tulips cut with the Windmill Fields die to add at each end with a tiny dot of liquid glue.

I finished the inside with another piece of Heart & Home Designer Paper, then added the sentiment layer stamped with Tulip Fields images and a phrase from the Happiness Abounds stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day May 22nd, Happiness Abounds!

Hey there! Today is a special day for Troy, Grace, and Scarlett. Today at church Scarlett will be dedicated to the Lord. This ceremony does not save her, nor does it usher her into church membership; it is the public declaration of her parents and family to raise her in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4). Her Papa and I will be there to witness and give our affirmation that we will participate in her upbringing in a godly way and that we will not cease to pray for her.

Today is also another day for sharing swaps, and I have a lovely collection to share with you all created with the Hues of Happiness Collection of products (and a few more!)

First, a lovely card created by Rhonda Bassler with the Happiness Abounds Bundle and Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper:

Next, Nikki Barnhart cut some of the blooms from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper with Blossoming Happiness Dies, then coordinated it with Gorgeous Grape card stock and ink. Love the 3/4" White Frayed Ribbon on the side.

Karen Titus combined Hues of Happiness Designer Paper blooms with the Bottled Happiness Bundle of stamps and punch! Tahitian Tide is the card base and the ink that stamped the bottle.

Rachel Traudt stamped, cut, and colored Happiness Abounds blooms with Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blends, then layered them on Perfectly Penciled Designer Paper. She added a greeting from Happiness Abounds, stamped with Tahitian Tide ink and cut with a Stylish Shapes die, as well as Tahitian Tide 1/8" Metallic Woven Ribbon and some Pool Party Glossy Dots.

Somewhere I've lost the creator's name of this simple card created with Hues of Happiness Designer paper and an sentiment from Bottled Happiness. The sentiment is cut with a Tailor Made Tags die and accented with Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon.

Lastly, Krista Wilson created an elegant card for any occasion with Basic White thick, Basic White, Hues of Happiness Designer Paper, Blossoming Happiness dies, and White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Cherries!

Hey there! Today I have a card to share that I created for a swap with the Sweetest Cherries Bundle of stamps and punch. I didn't use the punch for this one, but I want to make sure you know about it because when you buy the bundle you save 10% than when you purchase them separately.

I used a classic color combo of green and red, translated into Stampin' Up! Garden Green and new In Color Sweet Sorbet!

I started with a card base of Garden Green, then added a layer of Design a Daydream Host Designer Paper. The package says the green color is Old Olive, but this print coordinated with Garden Green perfectly!

I heat embossed the "Sweet" sentiment from the Sweetest Cherries stamp with Versamark and white embossing powder on a strip of Garden Green, then cut with the largest banner die in the Stylish Shapes Die set.

I stamped the cherries with Sweet Sorbet ink. I think I was a little surprised how pretty this color is because before you open the ink pad the color on the outside looks a little bit tomato-red, but it's not! The two cherry images are created to fit together perfectly, and the fact that the stamps are clear photopolymer is a big plus! I stamped the stems with Early Espresso and the leaves with Garden Green. After stamping I cut the Basic White layer with one of the Scalloped Contours Dies. I added a Sweet Sorbet 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dot to finish off the card front.

I used the same Scalloped Contours Die to cut the Basic White layer for the inside, then stamped a single cherry and another sentiment from Sweetest Cherries. I stamped a few cherries on the front and flap of the envelope to match!

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Cherries!

Stampin’ Up! Cottage Rose!

Hey there! Today I have the first in a series of three cards to share with you, created with the Cottage Rose Bundle of stamps and dies! I knew as soon as I thumbed through the catalog the first time that I would have to own this one!

I used a favorite color combo: Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, and Soft Sea Foam!

After stamping the bloom image with Early Espresso ink and cutting it out with the coordinating Cottage Flowers die, I then used Blending Brushes to add Blushing Bride, Crumb Cake, and Soft Sea Foam to it. I added a touch of Clear Wink of Stella to the bloom's center to add some shine.

I created the coordinating Blushing Bride mat for the bloom by using the same die to cut the shape from Blushing Bride card stock, then snipping it into two pieces. I then added it to the back of the finished bloom with Stampin' Seal, then adhered to the card front with dimensionals.

I added Blushing Bride to the designer paper with a Blending Brush, and scattered a few Iridescent Pearls for an elegant look.

I stamped the birthday greeting from Cottage Rose with Early Espresso ink directly onto the Blushing Bride-striped print from the Abigail Rose designer pack. This striped print is the flip-side to the Early Espresso bloom-print I used on the card front flap. After I adhered to the bloom with dimensionals, I added a double-bow tied from Linen Thread using a glue dot.

I kept the inside simple with another Cottage Rose sentiment and leaves image, all stamped with Early Espresso ink.
