Hey there! Today I have a card to share that I created for a swap with the Sweetest Cherries Bundle of stamps and punch. I didn't use the punch for this one, but I want to make sure you know about it because when you buy the bundle you save 10% than when you purchase them separately.
I used a classic color combo of green and red, translated into Stampin' Up! Garden Green and new In Color Sweet Sorbet!
I started with a card base of Garden Green, then added a layer of Design a Daydream Host Designer Paper. The package says the green color is Old Olive, but this print coordinated with Garden Green perfectly!
I heat embossed the "Sweet" sentiment from the Sweetest Cherries stamp with Versamark and white embossing powder on a strip of Garden Green, then cut with the largest banner die in the Stylish Shapes Die set.
I stamped the cherries with Sweet Sorbet ink. I think I was a little surprised how pretty this color is because before you open the ink pad the color on the outside looks a little bit tomato-red, but it's not! The two cherry images are created to fit together perfectly, and the fact that the stamps are clear photopolymer is a big plus! I stamped the stems with Early Espresso and the leaves with Garden Green. After stamping I cut the Basic White layer with one of the Scalloped Contours Dies. I added a Sweet Sorbet 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dot to finish off the card front.
I used the same Scalloped Contours Die to cut the Basic White layer for the inside, then stamped a single cherry and another sentiment from Sweetest Cherries. I stamped a few cherries on the front and flap of the envelope to match!
