Stampin’ Up! Wisteria Wishes Triple Z-Fold!
Hey there! Another whirlwind weekend for me! Friday I had a workshop in Marion, IL, Saturday I drove up to Shelbyville, IL for a cousin's funeral then went on up to Decatur to visit my 81 yr old brother, and then Sunday was our usual family dinner and afternoon hanging out with them. I finished up Sunday with a walk with my daughter-in-law, Grace and granddaughter, Scarlett, and a trip to the grocery store because I feel a real need to consolidate my trips to town with these ridiculous gas prices!
I spent Monday frustrated as I wrestled with my blog to get the pictures to load for this post. FINALLY late on Monday afternoon the pictures would finally post and I was able to finish it!
My card today is a Triple Z-Fold created with the Wisteria Wishes Bundle of stamps and dies, as well as the Design a Daydream Host Designer Series Paper. The Wisteria Wishes stamp set is so pretty and in combination with the Wisteria Dies just begged me to create a card that I could hang the wisteria blooms. I used a z-fold card base, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4", then added two z-fold arms, one across the top (to hand the wisteria) and one across the bottom (for standing stability) Each arm is 8 1/2" x 1 1/4", scored at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4". I turned the arms opposite the card base fold when I adhered.
After adding strips of Design a Daydream Host Designer Paper (I seem to be hooked on that pack of designer paper right now), to mat layers of Mint Macaron card stock, I adhered the to the card base sections and the z-fold arms. I stamped the leafy branches with Soft Succulent ink, cut with a Wisteria die, then glued to the top z-fold arm. I stamped the wisteria blooms with stamped-off-once Orchid Oasis ink first, then used the accent stamp included in the set to add full-strength Orchid Oasis. I cut these with the coordinating Wisteria die and added to the branches with liquid glue. I stamped the "faith over fear" phrase from Charming Sentiments with Orchid Oasis ink, cut with a Sentiments Silhouettes die, then added to the front section with dimensionals. I added a few Iridescent Rhinestones for some subtle sparkle.
I stamped the "faith is about trusting" sentiment from Wisteria Wishes with Orchid Oasis in and punched with the Double Oval Punch.
I put the signature layer on the back of the card, cut with a Stitched Rectangle die. The sentiment, stamped with Orchid Oasis ink, is also from Wisteria Wishes.
