Stampin’ Up! Sweet Ice Cream for Darcy!

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Ice Cream for Darcy!

Hey there! Yesterday my granddaughter, Darcy, graduated from Kindergarten and I got to go to the ceremony! I wanted to make her a card to commemorate the occasion, so I pulled out the Sweet Ice Cream Suite from the Spring Mini Catalog.

Darcy loves popsicles  more than she does ice cream, so I used one of the prints from the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper that has fun popsicles all over it with Bermuda Bay card stock and ink:

Stampin_up_sweet_ice_cream_carolpaynestamps1

I embossed a Bermuda Bay panel on the left side with one of the Checks & Dots embossing folder. These folders are created to fit in the Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine, a fun, smaller, more portable and affordable version of the standard Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine!

Stampin_up_sweet_ice_cream_carolpaynestamps2

I used the Tailored Tag Punch for the greeting, then added a few of the Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles with tiny dots of liquid glue. I used the Take Your Pick Tool to pick up the sprinkles and place them on the glue.

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Expressions In Ink!

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Expressions In Ink!

Hey there! I sometimes like to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) my own work and share another version. Such is the case with the card I have for you today. I CASE'd the card I shared for the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop but with other prints from the Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper pack:

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps1 (2)

After I adhered and DSP (Designer Series Paper) and card stock layer (just barely adhered) to a white 5 1/2" x 4" layer and then to the card front, I cut it with a smooth Layering Circle Die. I then removed the card stock layer and embossed with the Pretty Flowers folder, then adhered the embossed card stock permanently to the card front. I then cut the scalloped circle ring with the same circle die I used to cut through the entire card front and the scalloped circle die that is the next size bigger. I adhered the ring to the opening with a thin line of liquid glue.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps2

The Pretty Flowers Embossing folder is sooooo pretty! It's a must-have!

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps3

The sentiment stamped on the inside does double duty since it peeks through the circle opening in the front layers!

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps4 (2)

Dimensions for the card:

Just Jade base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2"

Basic White front layer: 4" x 5 1/4" inside layer: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

Expressions In Ink/Magenta Madness card stock blocks: 1 3/4" x 3" – need two, 1 3/4" x 3 3/4" – need one

Just Jade for scalloped circle window: 3" x 3"

Polished Pink 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon: about 6"

Stampin’ Up! New Catalog Favorites!

Stampin’ Up! New Catalog Favorites!

Hey there! Welcome to the Stampers Dozen May Blog Hop! Our May theme is "New Catalog Favorites", so you'll be getting glimpses of each of our favorite products from the New Annual Catalog!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

So far my favorite in the New Annual Catalog is the Expressions In In Suite found on pages 96-97. It's even featured on the front of the catalog!

I used one of the coordinating colors found in the Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Paper, Pale Papaya, to create my card:

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_pale_papaya_carolpaynestamps1

I used two layering circles dies to create the window to see the greeting inside the card.

I accented with Genial Gems.

Stampin’ Up! Polished Pink Artistically Inked!

Stampin’ Up! Polished Pink Artistically Inked!

Hey there! I am still playing with my Artistically Inked Bundle of stamps and dies. Today's card was created with a monochromatic look of Polished Pink and Basic White:

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps1

My process to achieve this inlaid die-cut look was simple:

  1. Cut the Polished Pink layer with the Artistic Die.
  2. Emboss the layer with the Pretty Flowers folder.
  3. Adhere the layer over a Basic White layer on the card front.
  4. Insert the die-cut back into the layer and adhere with tiny drops of liquid glue.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped the "hello" from the Artistically Inked set with black ink on a white strip, then used Paper Snips to cut banner points. I added a bow tied with Polished Pink 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon with a glue dot, and then added a few Polished Pink jewels from the 2021-2023 In Color Jewels pack.

Stampin_up_artistically_inked_carolpaynestamps3

I stamped the inside with another Artistically Inked sentiment and added a partial die-cut to the lower left corner with liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day May 9th!

Hey there! Hope you are having a lovely Mother's Day! Some, but not all, of my kids will be here today. Of course, I don't expect everyone to make it every year. Each family has two Mom's to celebrate, so I know I have to share! lol!

Today I have a set of four cards all created with the Hand-Penned Suite from pages 104-105 of the new Annual Catalog.

First, a fun-fold created by Laura Barto combining the  Color & Contour Bundle with the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper.
