Stampin’ Up! New Weekly Deals Are No April Fool!

Hey there and good morning! I have been having a terrible early-morning insomnia, which has been chopping out at least 2 hours of my sleep time for the past several nights. I can tell it has really affected my creativity and my productivity. Last night, however, all the sleeplessness must have finally caught up with me because I finally slept through and feel so much better!

I plan to do a lot of stamping today, so I will have something to post later, but for now I wanted to make sure you had the newest Weekly Deals from Stampin' Up!

Stampin’ Up! Starburst Sayings!

Stampin’ Up! Starburst Sayings!

Hey there! I have another fun-fold card for you today using the same fold  and dimensions as yesterday, but this time I used the new Starburst Sayings from the Occasions Catalog to create a fun Birthday card:

Stampin_up_starburst_sayings_1

I love adding a real candle to a birthday card! Although it is not mailable, I made another custom envelope for it with my Envelope Punch Board. I cut out the "oh, HAPPY DAY" and the "celebrate", which are stamped with Bermuda Bay and Raspberry Ripple, with the coordinating Starburst Framelits Dies. I used Circles Framelits Dies that are just slightly larger than the starbursts to cut the layer behind each. I tied Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon around the candle before adding it to the card with 3 Glue Dots. The card base is Bermuda Bay, the designer paper is Birthday Basics, and the images are stamped on Very Vanilla.

I added tiny mounds of Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details to the dots in the middle of the "HAPPY", and even added a bit of the same to the end of the candle! The Dazzling Details do take a bit of time to dry, so I added it to my card last thing so I could allow it to lay flat to dry.

Stampin_up_starburst_sayings_2

A view of the card front opened to reveal all of the Birthday Basics paper used.

Stampin_up_make_a_wish_1

I used another pattern from the Birthday Basic pack, then stamped images from the Make a Wish stamp set, inked with Bermuda Bay and Raspberry Ripple Stampin' Write Markers. I even inked the flames on the stamp with Summer Starfruit!

That's all for now. To order the supplies to create this card, click HERE to go to my Online Store!

Stampin’Up! Halloween Hello!

Stampin’Up! Halloween Hello!

Good morning! I am really excited to show you my creation today! It's a Halloween card using the Halloween Hello set from the Holiday Catalog. You will be able to see this card in person when you come to my Holiday Catalog Open House this Friday and Saturday. I also made this for one of my monthly swaps:

Halloween Hello 1

It's hard to see in this picture, but the little witchy is stamped with Versamark, Heat & Stick Powder, and then sprinkled with Basic Black Stampin' Glitter!

Halloween hello 2

The words were stamped and the Witches' Brew Designer Washi Tape was applied to the card front FIRST before runnning through the Big Shot in the Houndstooth folder.

The glitter on the witch image was attached with Heat & Stick powder, which can be a little bit tricky. Hopefully I will have a tutorial for you for this product soon.

Come back tomorrow to see my second monthly swap!

That's all for now. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Supplies:

Stamps: Halloween Hello #131718 Wood $18.95, #131721 Clear $14.95

Ink: Jet Black StazOn, Pumpkin Pie Classic, Versamark

Big Shot: Houndstooth Textured Impressions Folder

Misc: Witches Brew Designer Washi Tape, Hexagon Punch, Label Bracket Punch, Black & Orange Stampin' Glitter, Heat & Stick Powder, Heat Tool, SNAIL adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin’ Up! Gingham Garden Teapot Instructions!

Stampin’ Up! Gingham Garden Teapot Instructions!

Good morning! Oakley has his next bilirubin test this morning and a dr. apt this afternoon. Please pray that his numbers haven't spiked and all is well.

I have had requests to share the Teapot instructions, so here we go:

Gingham garden teapot

Here's the link to dowload the handout:

Download Gingham Garden Teapot

Fold a 12 x 6" piece of designer paper in half. Lay fold on Oval Accents Die just below the notch as shown:

Teapot 1

Here's a close up of where the fold should be on the die before runnning through the Big Shot:

Teapot 2

Cut off paper that sticks out around the edges of the die with scissors before running through the Big Shot. Save this paper. You will use it later for the teapot handle and the rim around the opening.

Teapot 3

Cut out with Big Shot:

Teapot 4

Open at the fold. Cut off one of the curved ends as shown with Paper Snips.

Teapot 5

This piece you cut off becomes your teapot spout! Attach to inside front of teapot with Tombow Mulitpurpose Glue or SNAIL.

Teapot 8

Punch the paper you cut off before running through the Big Shot with the Large Oval Punch first, then punch around the negative space with the Extra Large Oval Punch to create the teapot handle.

Teapot 9

Punch again in the negative space left from punching the handle to punch the rim of the teapot. You will have two pieces that look like this:

Teapot 10

Add handle of teapot to teapot body with Tombow or SNAIL. Adhere the sides of the teapot to each other with a thin line of Tombow, leaving the top notched ends open.

Teapot 11

Punch straight edge of top of teapot with Extra Large Oval Punch as shown. (The picture above also shows the teapot with the curve punched in it.)

Teapot 6

Layer half of a Tea Lace Doily over a piece of scrap cardstock. Punch with Extra Large Oval Punch, punching almost as far in as you can, lining up the curved punched edge with the curve of the doily. (If you try to punch the doily without the scrap of cardstock the doily just folds up into the punch, yuck!)

Teapot 7

Add punched doily to curved edge of top of teapot with a thin line Tombow glue.

Teapot 13

Trim top ends of doily with Paper Snips.

Teapot 14

Add the Midnight Muse gingham side of the punched curve piece over the edge of the doily with a thin line of Tombow as shown.

Teapot 15

Next steps have no pictures:

Add Silver mini-brad to the ends of the teapot you did not adhere with
Tombow.

Stamp “Just for You” from Label Love with Island Indigo ink on Whisper
White Scrap.

Punch with Artisan Label punch. Pierce hole in top of label with Paper Piercing Tool.

Remove tag from teabag, but
leave the teabag string. Thread string through the new label and tie.(a dental floss threader works great to thread the string through the tiny hole)

Add teabag to your teapot, create a
tiny card to insert, or add a giftcard.

You could make a custom matching designer paper envelope if you wish
with the Simply Scored Scoring Board and the Diagonal Plate. (or the new Envelope Punch Board Coming soon!)
