Stampin’ Up! Tri-Accordian Fold Lovely You!

Hey there! Today I have a tri-accordion fold card for you, created with the Lovely You stamp set and Butterfly Kisses 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper! This fold is perfect for the Butterfly Kisses Designer Paper, as it has so many pretty and coordinating prints to choose from! To create this fold, you start with a card base (mine is Fresh Freesia) of 5 1/2" x 11, scored at 4 1/4", 7", and 9 3/4".

I stamped the greeting from Lovely You with Calypso Coral ink, then cut with a Fabulous Frames die. This die cuts in two pieces, the smooth oval you see here as well as an outer oval that looks stitched. I decided to just use the smooth oval. After cutting I used Parakeet Party and Fresh Freesia Stampin' Write Markers to ink the flowers and stems to stamp around the words. I don't use my markers enough! Ever since I started purchasing the Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers I haven't used my Stampin' Write Markers much, but they are perfect for adding color directly to red rubber cling stamps! After I stamped the greeting oval and cut it out, I adhered to the middle fold of the card with dimensionals, overlapping the edge of the front fold to help hold the card together. I added a bow tied with Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon and a Iridescent Rhinestone to finish off the front.

Inside I added a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Butterfly Kisses Designer Paper, then cut Basic White with a Scalloped Contours die to stamp with more Lovely You images.

I used the same marker-direct-to-image technique to stamp the envelope to coordinate with the card.

Stampin’ Up! Hope & Prayer!

Hey there! Today's card is a bright and cheerful "thinking of you" card with the new Hope & Prayer stamp set and Butterfly Kisses 6" x 6" Designer Paper. I let the designer paper prints I chose determine the colors of the card: Basic White, Parakeet Party, Calypso Coral, and Fresh Freesia.

The Basic White Thick card base is 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored & folded at 4 1/4".

The Parakeet Party layer on the front and the inside you will see later is 4" x 5 1/4"

The Butterfly Kisses designer paper sections are:

2 1/4" x 3 1/4"

2 1/4" x 1 3/4"

1 1/2" x 1 3/4"

1 1/2" x 3 1/4"

I cut butterflies (I do not own the coordinating Best Butterflies stamp set yet) from coordinating Butterfly Kisses designer paper using Brilliant Wings dies. I adhered with a glue dot and added a Parakeet Party In Color Matte Decorative Dot.

I stamped a phrase from Hope & Prayer with Calypso Coral ink, punched with the Double Oval Punch, and adhered with dimensionals.

I cut the smaller butterfly from Butterfly Kisses designer paper with another Brilliant Wings die. I added another Parakeet Party In Color Matte Decorative Dot just like I did on the larger butterfly.

Inside I stamped another sentiment from Hope & Prayer with Calypso Coral ink on the 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" Basic White layer. I cut another small butterfly and added with tiny dots of liquid glue.

Stampin’ Up! Wisteria Wishes Triple Z-Fold!

Hey there! Another whirlwind weekend for me! Friday I had a workshop in Marion, IL, Saturday I drove up to Shelbyville, IL for a cousin's funeral then went on up to Decatur to visit my 81 yr old brother, and then Sunday was our usual family dinner and afternoon hanging out with them. I finished up Sunday with a walk with my daughter-in-law, Grace and granddaughter, Scarlett, and a trip to the grocery store because I feel a real need to consolidate my trips to town with these ridiculous gas prices!

I spent Monday frustrated as I wrestled with my blog to get the pictures to load for this post. FINALLY late on Monday afternoon the pictures would finally post and I was able to finish it!

My card today is a Triple Z-Fold created with the Wisteria Wishes Bundle of stamps and dies, as well as the Design a Daydream Host Designer Series Paper. The Wisteria Wishes stamp set is so pretty and in combination with the Wisteria Dies just begged me to create a card that I could hang the wisteria blooms. I used a z-fold card base, 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4", then added two z-fold arms, one across the top (to hand the wisteria) and one across the bottom (for standing stability) Each arm is 8 1/2" x 1 1/4", scored at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4". I turned the arms opposite the card base fold when I adhered.

After adding strips of Design a Daydream Host Designer Paper (I seem to be hooked on that pack of designer paper right now), to mat layers of Mint Macaron card stock, I adhered the to the card base sections and the z-fold arms. I stamped the leafy branches with Soft Succulent ink, cut with a Wisteria die, then glued to the top z-fold arm. I stamped the wisteria blooms with stamped-off-once Orchid Oasis ink first, then used the accent stamp included in the set to add full-strength Orchid Oasis. I cut these with the coordinating Wisteria die and added to the branches with liquid glue. I stamped the "faith over fear" phrase from Charming Sentiments with Orchid Oasis ink, cut with a Sentiments Silhouettes die, then added to the front section with dimensionals. I added a few Iridescent Rhinestones for some subtle sparkle.

I stamped the "faith is about trusting" sentiment from Wisteria Wishes with Orchid Oasis in and punched with the Double Oval Punch.

I put the signature layer on the back of the card, cut with a Stitched Rectangle die. The sentiment, stamped with Orchid Oasis ink, is also from Wisteria Wishes.

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Cherries, I CASED Myself!

Hey there! Today's project is a CASE of a card I created a few weeks ago with the Sweetest Cherries stamp set and Design a Daydream Host Designer Paper. I was planning to cut M & T packets for the original card when I discovered I had used up all of the sheets with the Garden Green print, so I chose a different print from the pack featuring Mint Macaron. Since the color and the print is different I decided I needed to make a whole new card:

I still cut the focal image layer with a Scalloped Contours die, and stamped the cherries with Sweet Sorbet ink. I still used Early Espresso for the stems, but stamped the leaves with Mint Macaron instead of Garden Green. I didn't have enough of the Sweet Sorbet dots from the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots pack for my M & T packets, so I used a Dark Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends to color a white dot from the Classic Matte Dots pack to match!

I heat embossed "Sweet" from Sweetest Cherries on Mint Macaron, then cut with a Stylish Shapes die.

Inside I stamped "birthday wishes" from Sweetest Cherries with Mint Macaron ink, and added a single cherry at the bottom of the sentiment layer.

I stamped "friend", also from Sweetest Cherries, on the envelope flap with Mint Macaron ink.

My original Garden Green card is on the left and today's Mint Macaron one on the right. Which one do you like better?

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Happiness Abounds!

Hey there! Seems like I am on a birthday card-making roll right now. I must admit, birthday cards, after Christmas cards, are my favorite cards to make! Today's card is a combination of the Happiness Abounds bundle of stamps and dies with another piece of Abstract Beauty 4 x 6 Specialty Designer Paper and the Artistically Inked stamp set.

I was thinking about how I wished the Happiness Abounds stamp set had some stamps to fill in the blossom outlines with color and realized I might be able to use the watercolorish images from Artistically Inked. I stamped the large bloom first with the largest image in Artistically Inked with stamped-off Orchid Oasis, then stamped the Happiness Abounds outline bloom with Starry Sky. After I cut it out with the Blossoming Happiness die it was perfect! I stamped the smaller blooms with the smaller Artistically Inked image and stamped-off Highland Heather, then stamped over it with the Happiness Abounds outline using Gorgeous Grape. I cut both of them with the coordinating Blossoming Happiness die. I added an Iridescent Rhinestone to the center of the largest bloom and Clear Wink of Stella to all. Before I adhered to the card I added some texture with the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder.

I stamped "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from Artistically Inked with Starry Sky ink directly on a piece of Abstract Beauty Specialty Paper before embossing with the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder. I added a couple more Iridescent Rhinestone for more sparkle.

After adhering the stamped/embossed layer to the card front I wrapped White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon around both front layers, tying in a pretty knot.

Inside I stamped two phrases from Happiness Abounds directly on the Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Paper, as well as another large bloom with Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky ink.

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Beauty Abounds!

Hey there! My Memorial Day weekend was such a whirlwind of activities that I had absolutely no time to stamp! I finally got a few things caught up yesterday (laundry was a biggie) and was able to create this card with the Happiness Abounds Bundle of stamps and dies and Abstract Beauty 4" x 6" Designer Paper. The Abstract Beauty paper is on the Last Chance Retiring List and is discounted 50% ($7.50 instead of $15), so I wanted to play with another one of the prints from the pack before it goes away!

By the time I finished the card the light was fading, but I think the card still shows up quite prettily. I took my colors from the Abstract Beauty print: Balmy Blue, Soft Succulent, and Basic White.

I stamped the roses on Basic White with Balmy Blue. I stamped the top rose on a piece of post-it-note, then cut it out to create a mask before stamping the lower rose. I then stamped the lower rose on another post-it-note to cut out to create another mask before stamping the leaves. I colored the roses with both Light & Dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends and the leaves with Light & Dark Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends. I added highlights of Clear Wink of Stella to the roses and colored the rest of the Basic White layer with a Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend. I also cut the left side of the 2 1/2" x 3" layer with the "torn notebook" Blossoming Happiness die.

I added a few Iridescent Pearls when the card was assembled.

I stamped the Happiness Abounds greeting with Soft Succulent ink on a 3/8" strip of Soft Succulent, then used Paper Snips to cut the ends at an angle. I added the focal image layer and the greeting to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

I added texture and interest to the 1" x 5 1/4" strip of Balmy Blue with another of the Blossoming Happiness dies.

Inside I stamped another Happiness Abounds sentiment, another rose, and more leaves to coordinate with the front.
