Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day June 20th!

Hey there! Happy Father's Day and Happy First Day of Summer! The first day of summer is actually kind of sad, as it means soon the days will start getting shorter as the world starts heading toward fall (in our part of the world, anyway)

Regardless, today is another Sunday Swap day, so it's time to share some swaps!

First, Garden Birdhouses with the Bark 3D embossing folder and Double Oval Punch by an anonymous creator.

Second, Kathy Johnson also used Garden Birdhouses. She also used one of the Basic Borders Dies to cut a cloud stencil to use with a Blending Brush to create the fluffy clouds background!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Thoughts & Pretty Flowers!

Hey there! Today I have a pair of cards to share with you created with the retiring Happy Thoughts stamp set and the new Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder.

After embossing Basic White with the Pretty Flowers folder I colored the raised images with Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, and Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends. I used the bullet end, not the brush tip, to color to have better control of how much ink flowed onto the paper.

For this version I added a piece of Evening Evergreen designer paper, Evening Evergreen 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon, and a greeting stamped with Polished Pink ink.

Inside:

My second version is very similar, but I embossed Evening Evergreen card stock for the bottom front layer.

I stamped the same greeting with Evening Evergreen ink and punched with the Double Oval punch.

I embossed the envelope flap with the same Pretty Flowers folder.

Hey there and welcome to Sunday Swap Day! Today I have a collection of pretty cards all with a wildflower theme. Let's get started!

First, a Quiet Meadow card created by Carol Slack.

All of the images she used are from Quiet Meadow and she embossed the Highland Heather edge with the Ornate Flowers folder.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day, May 30th!

Hey there! We were so happy to get to attend our oldest grandchild, Maddie Kate's, wedding yesterday. Such a sweet ceremony. A bit chilly, (it was an outdoor wedding), but sweet nonetheless!

Today, of course, is Sunday, so that means it's the day I share my swaps with you!

First a sort-of masculine card by Susie Wood with the new Beauty of the Earth Suite. She used the Beauty of Friendship stamp set with Beauty of the Earth Designer Paper, Stitched So Sweetly Dies, Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, Double Oval Punch, and new In Color, Evening Evergreen!

Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow!

Hey there! Quiet Meadow is perfect for collage-style stamping. I used this bundle of stamps and dies to create some "Thinking of You" cards to use for both a "get well" type card and a sympathy.

I used stamped-off once and sometimes twice Crumb Cake, Balmy Blue, Pear Pizzazz, and Blushing Bride for my collage-stamped background. After heat embossing the greeting with white powder I cut it out with a Meadow die. I added gold Metallic Pearls for more interest.

The majority of the Meadow dies are stand-alone, which means they don't coordinate with an image in the Quiet Meadow stamp set. I used one of them to cut Pear Pizzazz card stock to create the floral piece I glued over the floral image I stamped with full-strength Crumb Cake.

I tied Linen Thread into a double bow and added with a glue dot.

Everything on the inside is also from Quiet Meadow.
