Stampin’ Up! Torn Masking and French Foliage!

Stampin’ Up! Torn Masking and French Foliage!

Today's sample is from my February swap stash. This card was made by Sherri Beyrer and reminds me of the card I showed you back in October 2012 here.

Beautiful card, isn't it? And even though I usually think of French Foliage as a fall stamp set, it works perfectly for the "masculine" theme of last month's swap! I especially love the additional leaf she cut out and attached (it's covered in Crystal Effects although you can't tell from this photo) and how she embossed the whole top  layer with the Woodgrain Folder after she was finished with the torn masking and stamping.

That's all for today! I'm swamped this week with end-of-Sale-a-bration parties 4 out of the 5 weekdays this week, then I'm off with my downline to the Stampin' Up! St. Louis Regional this Saturday! I need to get some swaps made, so hopefully I will have some new creations to share with you soon! And after Saturday I will have some swap board samples AND fresh swaps to share!

Don't forget! You can go to my website any time, night or day, to order Stampin' Up! products:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

If you order before Friday at midnight you will receive the three tutorials to create fun 3-D items using the Simply Sent Happy Hello Kit FREE from me! This freebie is for everyone who orders from me Online, no matter the size of the order! (but remember, for every $50 you order through Friday you can also choose a free Sale-a-bration item too!)

So until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Origami Dapper Dad!

Stampin’ Up! Origami Dapper Dad!

Happy Sunday Morning! Just a REEEEAAL quick post today, not much detail to share, but wanted to let you see the card I swapped this month using Dapper Dad, Parker's Patterns Designer Paper, and the Sweet Buttons Embosslit:

Dapper dad 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

The greeting is from Henry Says, and the inside words are from Bring on the Cake!

Dapper dad 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

That's all for now! Big family day today! We are celebrating my sweet hubby's birthday with all of our children and his mother at our house! I have a 5 lb. roast in the crockpot, a hashbrown casserole and cream-of-chicken-potatoes in the oven, and all the veggies ready to finish as soon as we get home from church. Each daughter is contributing something yummy, and there's a fresh gallon of vanilla ice cream in the freezer (my hubby LOVES ice cream!) It will be a day of grandbabies, fun, and family!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Herringbone Technique!

Stampin’Up! Herringbone Technique!

I'm still working on the projects for next week's Punch/Technique Class. The next technique we will be learning, along with the VersaShadow and Embossed Kissing, is the Herringbone technique, a great way to use up all of those little scraps of DSP we all have piling up! This technique is also another great use for the MultiPurpose Adhesive Sheets!

Herringbone 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

This card used the Woodgrain Background stamp, and a stamp from the Occasions Mini set, Loved Ones!

Herringbone 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

This set also contains this "Happy Birthday" stamp, as one of the 12 total in the set! Makes it easy to customize your card for just about any family member! The other 10 stamps in the set are:

GRANDSON

for my

grandpa

daughter

MOM

grandma

SON

DAD

granddaughter

sister

Come to class next week on the 10th in Galatia or at my house on the 14th and learn this cool technique plus the other two! Just RSVP to me you are coming!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" day!

Stampin’Up! Punches Well Done!

Stampin’Up! Punches Well Done!

Started working on April Punch and Technique Class last night. Here's the first one:

Well done 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

And the inside:

Well done 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I'm pretty addicted to the clouds stamp from "Send Me Soaring" in the Occasions Mini, can you tell?

This card makes a perfect masculine birthday, BBQ invite, or Father's Day card! In case you are wondering where the "Well Done!" words are from, Stampin' Up! doesn't have an actual rubber stamp with this phrase, but they DO have My Digital Studio, which is where this was created and printed from!

That's all for today! Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

“Under the Stars” Meets “And Many Mower”!

“Under the Stars” Meets “And Many Mower”!

Here's the final card we will be making at the Masculine Card Class tonight and tomorrow using "Under the Stars" and "And Many Mower"! This is a tri-fold card that uses the slit punch as the closure:

©Stampin'Up!™1990-2009

When you open it looks like this:

GEDC5573©Stampin'Up!™1990-2009

Pretty cute, huh? This card is shown as a Father's Day card, but you could substitute "Happy Birthday" or make it a "Happy Retirement" card very easily!
I usually show all of my cards to my husband after I make them, but I think I will hold back on this one and give it to him for Father's Day this year!

I also wanted to show you a few pics of what had been going on at my house last week:

GEDC5560

Here's our lovely bride-to-be, Alisa, and her fiance', Cody, helping me make these:

GEDC5561

Here's the flip side of this 5 1/4 x 5 1/4" square invitation:

GEDC5562

©Stampin'Up!™1990-2009

This was a pretty simple design, and using the Big Shot Texturz Plates made it even easier! (It did take us awhile, though, to make 200 of them!) But they are all in the mail now, so we are on to the next stages of wedding preparation, thank-you's and wedding reception favors!

There's still room in my Saturday Masculine Card classes, so call me today to RSVP!
