Stampin’ Up! Bear Hugs for a Baby Boy!

Hey there! I just love new babies! Today there's a baby shower at church for a girl who's having a little boy. Her nursery theme is "fishing", so I used Bear Hugs and One Big Meaning to create this:

I started with a Tip Top Taupe card base, stamping with the Hardwood Background and Tip Top Taupe ink. I punched a 1 1/2" circle, lining up the right edge of the punch with the right edge of the card and pushing the card base in as far as it would go.

I stamped the greeting from One Big Meaning with Tip Top Taupe on Very Vanilla, punching with the Classic Label Punch.

I laid the Very Vanilla inside layer inside the card to stamp the Bear Hugs fish through the circle. I used the Baby Wipe Technique to create a custom "inkpad" with Pool Party and Island Indigo ink refills. I hand-drew the bubbles with a Pool Party Stampin' Write Marker.

I added Bear Hugs sentiment inside with Tip Top Taupe. I made 40 of these clean-and-simple cards in just a few hours! Easy-peasy!

Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect Father’s Day!

Hey there! Happy Father's Day! My daddy has been gone since 1994, but it's still a special day because of my sweetheart, Mark. He's daddy to my six babies, and Papa to all 8 and 6/9th's grandbabies. Married for almost 39 years, I can't imagine doing this life with anyone else. He's my rock and my best friend!

Of course, it's my joy to make his card!

I combined the starfish from Picture Perfect with a sentiment from Guy Greetings. I used new Serene Scenery designer paper for the front and Layering Squares Framelits to cut the window and the layered squares for the greeting.

I sponged all of the edges of everything with Soft Suede ink. The Serene Scenery paper already was distressed-looking, but I added more!

I had an idea to use bleach on So Saffron card stock and then stamp over it with the starfish, but I decided to use an unbleached So Saffron one instead. Of course, well sponged!

I added a few loops of Linen Thread behind it, then colored pearls with a gold permanent marker.

This fun-fold is just so different than anything I've tried before, but so easy!

Stampin’ Up! Picture Perfect Father’s Day!

I sponged all of the edges of everything with Soft Suede ink. The Serene Scenery paper already was distressed-looking, but I added more!

I had an idea to use bleach on So Saffron card stock and then stamp over it with the starfish, but I decided to use an unbleached So Saffron one instead. Of course, well sponged!

I added a few loops of Linen Thread behind it, then colored pearls with a gold permanent marker.

This fun-fold is just so different than anything I've tried before, but so easy!

Stampin’ Up! Stamper’s Dozen Blog Hop May Edition, Masculine May!

Hey there! It's time for the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop! Our theme is "Masculine May"!

For my manly creation I used the Hardwood Background, Traveler, Timeless Textures, Friendly Wishes, and Happy Happenings. ALL are carrying over to the new catalog! yay!

I used three of the 6 vintage images from Traveler, and used a color palette of Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla.

I used the new Annual Catalog Layering Squares Framelits to cut all of the layers around the train, globe, and steamship. These framelits, along with new Circles, Ovals, and Hearts, are going to be must-haves when the new catalog premieres on June 1st!

I stamped "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from Happy Happenings with Early Espresso, then stamped over with stamped-off Crumb Cake using the cross-hatch stamp in Timeless Textures. I cut the banner around it with the banner die from the Gift Card Envelope & Trims Thinlets.

I used the cross-hatch background for all of the vintage images.

Inside I went a little crazy with cross-hatch stamping, but it made a great background for the sentiment from Friendly Wishes!

Stampin’ Up! Triple Time Embossing for the February Online Class!

Hey there! Here's another February Online Class card using World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Triple Time Embossing technique!

Triple Time Embossing Technique:

Very Vanilla layers, 4" x 5 1/4", 4 1/4" x 3", and 3 1/4" x 2".

Layer all three together, leaving even space, with a teeny-tiny bit of SNAIL so you will separate after embossing.

Use a brayer to add Lost Lagoon ink to the negative side of the folder, (the side with the water areas around the continents highest)

Insert layers into the folder with the front touching the inked side. Run through the Big Shot.

Separate the layers. Add a 4 1/2" x 3 1/4" and a 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" Lost Lagoon mat to the layers with SNAIL.

Adhere largest and middle layers to card front with SNAIL Adhere smallest layer with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Layers before embossing:

A Perfect Pairings greeting and Botanicals for You sentiment, and Silver Basic Metal Button tied with a thread from 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon.

Inside sentiment from Suite Sayings and Traveler ship.

Stampin’ Up! Triple Time Embossing for the February Online Class!

Hey there! Here's another February Online Class card using World Traveler Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and Triple Time Embossing technique!

Stampin’ Up! Going Global for a Birthday!

Hey there! Today I have another card I created using the Going Global/Going Places product suite, soon available in the Occasions 2016 Catalog on January 5th. I started with a Lost Lagoon card base, then added layers of Basic Black, Lost Lagoon, and Going Places Designer Series Paper:

After silver heat-embossing the Big Dipper image several times on the Lost Lagoon layer I sponged the edges with Lost Lagoon and lightly "pounced" the color on the layer with my Stampin' Sponge to add more depth.

I silver heat-embossed the compass image on Basic Black, punched with the 2 inch Circle Punch, then added shimmer with my new Clear Wink of Stella pen! I am so excited to share Wink of Stella with you, I want to use it on every card! There's also a Gold Wink of Stella! I LOVE it!

After silver heat-embossing the sentiment from Going Global on Basic Black I cut it out with the banner framelit included with the Large Numbers Framelits Dies, also coming on January 5th!

I finished off the inside with sentiments from Big News, an Annual Catalog set. I couldn't resist stamping the envelope flap with the Going Global globe stamp. This set is possibly my favorite manly set EVER!
