Stampin’ Up! Treasures of Life!

Hey there! Lately I have noticed that many of my friends, stamping and otherwise, are becoming grandparents. In some cases they are even becoming great-grandparents, so the Treasures of Life stamp set from the 2021 January-June Mini Catalog is coming in quite handy! I sat down yesterday and made a small stack of these cards to have on hand:

I combined the sweet images and sentiments from Treasures of Life with the stacked hearts from another 2021 J-J Mini Catalog Set, Lots of Heart, and the coordinating dies, Many Hearts.

For the feminine version I used Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride with Soft Suede ink and white heat embossing.

I tied one of the sweet little charms I bought on Amazon with the Blushing Bride Twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack, also found in the 2021 J-J Mini Catalog. I'll put the link to the charms right above my supply list at the bottom of this post.

I love the sentiments in the Treasures of Life set!

For the boy version I created essentially the same card, using Balmy Blue card stock and cutting the focal image with the smooth heart instead of the scalloped in the Many Hearts Dies. I tied the charm with the white twine from the Snail Mail Twine Combo Pack.

Stampin’ Up! Kangaroo & Company Baby Girl Card!

Hey there! While I was creating baby girl cards, I created another pair with the Kangaroo & Company stamp set from the Spring Mini Catalog. These cards are a combination of Sneak Peeks and current product.

Sneak Peeks are from the Polished Pink card stock and ink, and the Scalloped Contours Dies.

I stamped the mama & baby with Memento ink on Shimmery White card stock, then colored with Stampin' Blends. I colored around the edges of them first with the darker blend, then used the lighter one to soften the lines. The die to cut out the mama includes a slit to add the baby in her pocket!

I used a Snail die from the Snailed it bundle to cut the word bubble around the greeting from the Kangaroo & Company set.

I stamped the inside sentiment from Life's Treasures, another Spring Mini Catalog set, on a Basic White layer I cut with the next-size smaller die in the Scalloped Contours Die.

Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy!

Hey there! I've been needing to make more baby cards than usual, especially for baby girls. I created my card today with the retiring Wildly Happy stamp set and retiring Peony Garden Designer Series Paper:

I'm back to trying to make two of every card I make: one to give and one for display/future use!

After stamping Shimmery White card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored the bunnies with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends, then cut with a Hippo & Friends die. I added a mat behind the bunnies cut from Crumb Cake with the next larger Hippo & Friends die.

I used the darker Crumb Cake blend to give the darker shades, then softened the lines with the light Crumb Cake. A dab of Ivory blend on their ears and noses and they were done!

I colored the metallic-edge ribbon with a Light Crumb Cake Stampin' Blend. The silver ribbon is sold out but the gold is still available!

I cut out the greeting with an Ornate Frames die.

Inside I used another sentiment from Wildly Happy.

Stampin’ Up! Wildly Happy!

I'm back to trying to make two of every card I make: one to give and one for display/future use!

Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Criss-Cross Card!

Hey there! Today I have a new technique to share with you! I didn't invent it, but I don't actually know the name for it, so I'm calling it a "criss-cross card". I used retiring Flowers For Every Season 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper and the retiring So Sentimental Bundle to create this:

I used one piece of designer series paper, cut at the diagonal from two corners, then flipped two of the sections over to use the opposite side. Here's a couple of pictures that explain it a little more:

I put two opposite corners of the 3 3/4" x 5" piece of designer paper rectangle along the cutting track of my paper trimmer, then cut to create two equal-sized triangles. Keeping the rectangle pushed together, I turned it 180 degrees so the un-cut corners are now lined up with the cutting track.

After the second cut, you will have four triangles.

The greeting is from the retiring stamp set, So Sentimental. The Stitched So Sweetly Dies it is bundled with are not retiring, but you need to order the bundle before May 3rd because not only will the stamp set be gone forever, the 10% savings will be too. The Just Jade 1/4" In Color Ribbon is also retiring.

The card base is a super-easy z-fold!

The inside sentiment is also from So Sentimental.

Card dimensions:

Just Jade base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 2 3/4" and 5 1/2"

Stampin’ Up! Oval Occasions Baby Card!

Hey there! I've been taking some time off from stamping and blogging to get my anxiety problem under control. With some medication additions and changes I think we are finally on the right track! I'm going to be trying to blog every other day, so don't give up on me!

Today I have a baby card to share that I created with the Oval Occasions and Lots of Heart Bundles:

I used a Stitched With Whimsy die to add the meandering stitched look. I cut the flowery heart from Rococo Rose card stock with a Many Hearts Die. After I stamped the bunnies with Rococo Rose ink I punched it with the Double Oval Punch. I added Rococo Rose Pastel Pearls to the flower centers.

The greeting is also from the Oval Occasions stamp set. I used the Double Oval Punch again to cut it out and mat it with Rococo Rose.

I left the inside without a sentiment so I can write my own.

Note: Rococo Rose is a retiring In Color, so if you love this color I would suggest you order the ink pad, ink refill, and card stock soon!
