Stampin’ Up! Best of Brides & Babies!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Brides & Babies!

Good morning! Today I have fun assignment! I'm picking up my granddaughter, Maddie Kate, from Camp Hope this morning to take her to her Cheerleading Practice! Her mom, Jessica, is a counselor at Camp Hope this week (it's Ava's first year as a camper; she is super-duper excited!), so she asked me to do the honors for her so she could stay at camp. This is 3rd/4th grade week, so the kids are pretty young and need alot more attention than other weeks (at this age they have to be directed to do just about everything!), so it's important she stay close to her room of little girls.

So YAY! I'm looking forward to spending a little time with MK today!

Today I'm sharing a "cute" little card using the Best of Brides & Babies 25th Anniversary set! The images in all of the "Best of" sets are miniatures of the originals, so sometimes they are actually easier to use than ever before!

All products are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Cute 1

I CASED this card from somewhere, if you know, please let me know so I can give proper credit, will you?

Crisp Cantaloupe, Basic Black, & Whisper White give this card a feminine but bold look! It's hard to see in the picture, but I sponged some Illuminate Glimmer ink on the Crisp Cantaloupe Deco Label around the "cute" phrase to give it just a little bit more pop, and the onesie was stamped on Crisp Cantaloupe with Jet Black StazOn, then cut out to paper-piece. The tiny little heart on the onesie was highlighted with a White Gel pen.

Cute 2
Inside the teddy bears stamp from Best of Brides & Babies was used along the bottom, along with the words from One in a Million. A Small Heart punched from Crisp Cantaloupe was layered with a Basic Black heart punched with the Owl Builder punch and topped off with a Basic Jewel Pearl.

Well, that's all for now, I'm off to go pick up Maddie Kate! It should be a fun morning!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Yes Mam’s Shoebox Swap Card #6!

Stampin’Up! Yes Mam’s Shoebox Swap Card #6!

Good morning! Today's final Shoebox Swap card is brought to you by Tudy Hoffman!

Tudy chose Primrose Petals, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla for her cardstock colors. The bottom edge of the Primrose Petals layer was embossed with one of the Delicate Designs Textured Impressions Folders. The stamp set she used was Papaya Collage, a stamp set I purchased at the beginning of the last catalog but have never really used much-I think I'm inspired! The bird stamp was inked using Early Espresso, Soft Suede and Primrose Petals Stampin' Write Markers, the and gingko-like branches were stamped with Gumball Green. Victoria Crochet Trim added to the Crumb Cake helps to add a vintage look. The edges of the Very Vanilla Top Note layer were sponged with Soft Suede ink. The new Very Vanilla Vintage Button was threaded with a Linen Thread bow, then added to the card with a Glue Dot.

Tudy 1

A full Very Vanilla Top Note was used on the inside, stamped with the Papaya Collage images and sponged again with Soft Suede ink.

Stampin’ Up! Happy Day for Sunday!

Stampin’ Up! Happy Day for Sunday!

Good Morning! Today is a really amazing day for our church! The Carpenter's for Christ have been at Ina Free Will Baptist Church this past week everyday, 117 men from all professions and several different states, to raise the rafters and build the shell for our new sanctuary. They do the work for FREE, so they are saving our congregation thousands and thousands of dollars! They will be here for TWO whole weeks and since today is the weekend that connects those two weeks, we are having our church service with these men down at our local grade school so we have room for everyone, then after church we are all having a dinner together too! It's going to be a great day!

Yesterday I worked on my projects for my four workshops next week, and here is a really cute, happy one, inspired by Debbie Crawley, using the new catalog set, Happy Day!

Happy day 1

Strawberry Slush, Gumball Green, and Whisper White pair to make a cheerful statement to "Smile"! The flower is Strawberry Slush 2013-2015 In Color Designer Paper cut with a Floral Frames Framelit, and the flower stem is Gumball Green cardstock cut with the leaf from the Secret Garden framelits. The center of the flower is punched with the 7/8" Scallop Circle punch. Overall, a pretty Clean-and-Simple card!

Happy day 2
I just love this phrase from another new set, Really Good Greetings. I can tell I'm going to be using this set a lot this year!

Well, I've got to get finish getting ready for today! Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Mosaic Maddness!!

Stampin’ Up! Mosaic Maddness!!

Good morning! Trying to get my post up earlier today so the email you get (although it will probably be either the second one or two posts combined in one email, I'm not sure how this will go!) will be on time today!

I'm in the middle of super-organizing my stamping stuff after the big BOGO sale last Saturday. My two new catalog orders I placed over the weekend haven't even shipped yet, (due to the huge backlog of orders placed over the the weekend, I'm sure) but I'm determined to have all of my current stuff organized before these orders arrive!

I have done a teeny-little bit of stamping, but the project is not yet finished. I promise I will share with you as soon as I get it done, it's going to be pretty cute!

So today I'm relying on my monthly swaps again, this time with a few samples from Mosaic Madness!

Modern mosaic ruth bingle
Ruth Bingle went out-of-the-box by turning the Mosaic-punched pieces into a flower! (think this might make a great poinsettia for Christmas!) There's one of those Very Vintage Buttons again! The "feel better soon" is from the new set, Express Yourself, and she also used the Modern Mosaic Textured Impresssions Folder for the background (brayered with Strawberry Slush ink on the "positive side" (the side with the impressions raised up!) of the folder before placing the Whisper White paper inside!

Mosaic madness susy miller
Susy Miller went with a color pallette of Early Espresso, Naturals Ivory, Soft Suede, and Coastal Cabana for her card using both Mosaic Maddness and Label Love stamp sets! She also used a Neutrals Button and Natural 7/16" Ribbon Trim for the finishing touches! This could easily be a masculine card!

Well, it's back to the organizing grindstone for me today! (I actually enjoy cleaning out and organizing when I have enough time to do it properly!) My cough continues to improve a little each day, very little wheezing now, but the steroids are keeping me awake at night! When I get through all the meds I'll probably want to sleep for about 24 hours straight!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Countdown to the NEW Catalog Day #3, Kind & Cozy!

Stampin’ Up! Countdown to the NEW Catalog Day #3, Kind & Cozy!

Good morning! Can you believe it? Only TWO MORE SLEEPS until the New Catalog starts! I can hardly wait!

I'm busy as the proverbial ol' bee this week, getting ready for THREE, yes I said THREE, big events this weekend! They are a follows:

Friday evening: my daughter, Alisa and her husband, Cody, are hosting their annual "Summer Bash" at our house! This involves a bonfire with hotdogs & 'smores, hamburgers on the grill, all the rest of your traditional picnic trimmings, kickball, volleyball, LOTS OF FRIENDS, and of course, mosquitos!

Saturday afternoon 1-6 p.m.: I'm hosting my annual "New Catalog Open House"! This involves Make n' Takes, doorprizes, gifts, refreshments, a BOGO sale, and of course the giving out of the New 2013-2014 Annual Catalog for FREE, many of which will be spiral-bound for those who RSVP to me by today and attend!

Sunday afternoon 2-4 p.m.: My daughters are hosting a baby shower at our church for Cody & Alisa and baby Oakley, who is scheduled to arrive sometime in early July!

Whew! I get a little tired just thinking about it all!

Today's new catalog samples I downloaded from a "virtual swap" I participated in with a Facebook group I belong to called "Stampin' Leaders".

This sample used the set we received in Fiji, Kind & Cozy, with new Gingham Garden designer paper:

Gingham garden kind & cozy

This sample uses Gingham Garden paper again to create a cute little seed-packet card. Notice the flower embellishment? It was created with our new Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Molds and Simply Pressed Clay!

Gingham garden simply pressed clay

Another Kind & Cozy sample, this time with Gingham Garden Washi Tape to accent so easily!

Gingham garden thinking of you

And last but not least, this sample used Gingham Garden Washi Tape with the Beautiful Butterfly Die to create a custom butterfly embellishment!

Gingham garden washi tape

All products used are ©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

That's all for today! I'm off to get busy on my "To Do" list for today!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
