Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day, on Monday!

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day, on Monday!

Hey there! My weekend got pretty filled up with family time and prepping for family time. My hubby and kids ordered the new sectional I wanted for Mother's Day, but I needed to do some carpet cleaning and re-arranging before it arrived. Here's the result after giving away two couches and a piano:

Sectional

I must admit because of the DDOS atacks on the Typepad platform lately it has been hard to stay focused on blogging. I apologize for the interruptions and my lack of posts. I plan to continue blogging no matter what, so don't give up on me.

Here are my Sunday Swap Day swaps, on Monday!

Friends Who Know, a new catalog stamp, by Stella MacKay:

Work of Art. I'm not sure who is the creator of this card, but I love it!

Everything Eleanor and Petite Petals by Patty Chenail:

Stampin_up_everything_eleanor_patty chenail

So Very Happy by BJ Peters:

Lee Conrey's swap was pretty special. She donates her retired swap fronts to an organization for exceptional adults. They turn her swap fronts into notebooks. Lee purchased the books from the organization to give to us as her swap. What a great idea to support them from both ends! Lee does charity stamping functions monthly and has built her business upon giving back to others. Lee lives in Florida, but because of Stampin' Up! I am so blessed to know her.

Lee conrey

Here's the contact info of the organization:

Lee conrey two

That's all for now. Just one week left before we can order from the new catalog, and just four more sleeps until my New Catalog Premiere Open House! yay!

The Retired List Blowout Sale is still going on! If you haven't checked it out yet, go to my Online Store HERE!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day I’m Back In the USA!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day I’m Back In the USA!

Hey there! So good to be back on native soil! Troy and I had a blast on our trip, and we are actually still in the Ft Lauderdale airport waiting for the first leg of our flight (we change planes in Atlanta before flying home to St Louis). When I discovered we had internet access I realized I had time to do a quick post for you!

Today's swaps I just received from the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop group I'm a part of. Be sure to check back here on the 15th for our next hop, which is themed "I Do!" You will be able to "hop" through 12 blogs, all showing you new papercrafting ideas just in time for the wedding season!

First, France Martin created this fun-fold card using the Off the Grid stamp set (retired and sold out!), Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly punches, and a greeting from the Lots of Thanks stamp set:

Stampin_up_lots_of_thanks_france_martin

I don't recall at the moment what this fun-fold is called, but I'm going to find out and do a video for you soon to show you how to do it.

Next, Judy Garza used the Swallowtail single stamp to create this black-and-white beauty!

Stampin_up_swallowtail_judy_garza

The greeting is from Loving Thoughts, another retiring set that is currently only still available in wood-mount.

Finally, Laura Milligan covered a notepad with new Moonlight Designer Paper and stamped a message with the new stamp set we received at the 2014 New Catalog Premiere, Work of Art:

Stampin_up_work_of_art_laura_milliagan

Love it!

Hope you are having a good Mother's Day. Whether you are a mother or not, we all have (or have had) a Mom, so there is much to be thankful for.

That's all for now. I will be back tomorrow with more to share. Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Here's short supply lists for the swaps that the products are currently available for. (Work of Art and Moonlight Designer Paper for Laura's project will not be available until the new catalog starts on June 2nd)

Stampin’ Up! Do You Know Your Greens?

Stampin’ Up! Do You Know Your Greens?

Hey there! Just a quick post tonight. I've been playing "catch-up" all day, after spending TOO MUCH time on those dreaded taxes, hence the lack of a blog post until now. And since I've been "catching up", that also means I've not had a chance to create anything new. Sorry!

Since there's nothing "new" to share today, and since with this latest deep freeze we are in right now, I thought you might like to see something GREEN!

One of my stampers recently needed to decide on a green for an event she was preparing for, so I stamped this so she could see all of the Stampin' Up! greens side-by-side:

Stampin_up_greens

Using the leafy stamp from the free Sale-a-bration set, Petal Parade, I started with Pistachio Pudding and worked my way through all 7 Stampin' Up! greens until I ended with Always Artichoke.  I thought they actually look quite lovely together. What do you think?

What color did my stamper choose for her project? She chose Garden Green!

Which Stampin' Up! green is your favorite?

That's all for now. Friday is the last day of February. February is always such a short month. Maybe God gave us a short month to help it seem like spring is coming faster. We can always hope!

To order your favorite green, and anything else stamp-y, just click HERE to shop in my Online Store!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day: Baby, We’ve Grown!

Stampin’Up! Sunday Swap Day: Baby, We’ve Grown!

Hey there! We had a good "Vivid Vases" class today. Several were unable to make due to various circumstances, so I'm going to offer it again on March 22nd along with my Burlap and Blooms Wreath Class.

Today I have a selection of baby card swaps I received at Leadership:

Stampin_up_baby_we've_grown_2

This baby boy card was created with  the colors of Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, and Baked Brown Sugar. Embossed with the Alphabet Press folder. Colored with a Blender Pen and Coastal Cabana ink. A bit of Baked Brown Sugar 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Ribbon for the perfect final touch!

Stampin_up_baby_we've_grown_1

This card uses the same phrase from Baby We've Grown, with Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper. One of the Designer Frames embossing folders was used around the stamped image, which has again been softly colored with Daffodil Delight ink and a blender pen. Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding adds the final touch to this one!

Stampin_up_label_love

Last but certainly not least we have the onesie card! Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper again. Scalloped Circle and Circle Punches used for the neckline and legs. A Label Love image, stamped with Calypso Coral and punched with the Artisan Label Punch and mounted on a 2 1/2" Scallop Circle complete this one!

Well, that's all for now. I'm headed off to bed. The "dreaded taxes" are still looming. It makes me tired just thinking about it. I found out this week I am a "procraftinator" – I'd rather stamp and create than cook, clean house, or do monthly bookkeeping. So I'm miserable for a few days every February trying to re-create a whole year. Sad. Every year I swear I will do better (bet you do too, don't you?) and then life gets going and before I know it here I am again with a mountain of paper to sift through.

ENOUGH of my whining.

You can always go HERE to find the supplies used for today's samples. I would really appreciate the chance to help you make something fun. Just call or email if you have any questions!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
