Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves Avidly!

Hey there! Today I am sharing the third & final card is my Gorgeous Leaves series! I started with a beginner card here, then stepped-it-up to casual with yesterday's card here, and now today I have added my final touches to bring it up to a card an avid stamper would love!

Same basic card as yesterday, but after stamping I embossed the entire front layer with the Bark 3D embossing folder and then used a Blending Brush to add Crumb Cake ink to the edges. Before adhering the layer to the front I also added Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon, and then added a bow tied from the same ribbon with a glue dot.

I stepped-up the greeting by stamping it on a separate piece of very vanilla, and then layering another piece of Cajun Craze under it before adhering with dimensionals.

Inside I used the same blending brush with Crumb Cake ink on the edges. I think I should have let the Blackberry Bliss ink dry a little longer (or used my Heat Tool) so it wouldn't have smeared like it did as I was blending. Some inks just stay wetter longer than others, and Blackberry Bliss is one of them!

Stampin’ Up! Gorgeous Leaves for the First Day of Autumn!

Hey there! Welcome to the first day of Autumn! Whether you call it Autumn or Fall, this day marks the progression from Summer into Autumn, and soon it will be time for Pumpkin Spice, Trick or Treat, Thanksgiving, and then Christmas!

In honor of this first day of my favorite season the year, today I have the first of three cards all created with the Gorgeous Leaves Bundle of stamps and dies!

Today's card is a trifecta for the beginning stamper with just enough stamping, an easy technique, and an embellishment to make it fun! Stampin' Up! calls this type of card #simplestamping!

I stamped the greeting from Best Year with Blackberry Bliss ink, then stamped the wood grain image over it with stamped-off once Soft Suede (the easy technique that requires no additional tools, just scratch paper). I then stamped the leaves in the opposite corners with Crushed Curry for the top leaf and Cajun Craze for the bottom one. I added a single Gilded Gem for just a bit of shine.

Inside I stamped the companion sentiment from Best Year with Blackberry Bliss ink again, then stamped the leaves with the same colors but switching the leaves to the opposite corners. I stamped more leaves on the Very Vanilla envelope to coordinate and to prevent the envelope from being "naked".

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Tuesday, September 21st!

Hey there! We had a busy weekend! Friday night we went to the "4th Annual Pumpkin Palooza" at Troy & Grace's house where there was a Pumpkin Carving Contest and the menu was all pumpkin-based, then on Saturday I had a booth at the Ina Fall Festival Craft Fair. Sunday was our regular family dinner after church, and then Sunday evening our church was in charge of the Ina Fall Festival Community Church Service, so it was altogether a full weekend!

Monday was a catch-up day for me and a day of caring for Fiona, so I'm glad I finally have been able to find some time to share these fall swaps with you!

Stampin’ Up! Gathered Leaves Shaker!

Hey there! Last weekend Stampin' Up! provided an online event to introduce the spring catalog to demonstrators. One great project shown was a shaker card that's soooooo easy to make!

The first card I created was with the Gather Together stamp set and the "orange" collection of sequins from the Sequins For Everything pack.

What makes this shaker card so easy is the Clear Envelope used to create the shaker! I simply stamped a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Very Vanilla with Gather Together images, sponged the edges, slipped it into the clear envelope, added a couple of pinches of sequins, and sealed up the back! Voila!

I then adhered to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card front with Stampin' Seal. It will fit snugly into a Medium Very Vanilla envelope!

Stampin’ Up! Gathered Leaves Shaker!

Hey there! Last weekend Stampin' Up! provided an online event to introduce the spring catalog to demonstrators. One great project shown was a shaker card that's soooooo easy to make!

The first card I created was with the Gather Together stamp set and the "orange" collection of sequins from the Sequins For Everything pack.

I then adhered to a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card front with Stampin' Seal. It will fit snugly into a Medium Very Vanilla envelope!
