Stampin’ Up! Soft Seedlings Meets Hello Harvest!

Hey there! The card I'm sharing with you today is probably one of my most favorite I've created in a long time! It's not that I'm not pleased with the cards I create and share with you, I just really love how this one turned out! I used the Soft Seedlings stamp set and the Hello Harvest bundle from the July-December Mini catalog

One of the keys to this card is to stamp everything on the 4" x 5 1/4" Very Vanilla layer BEFORE embossing with the Leaf Fall 3D folder.

I started by inking the leaf/seedling image with Pumpkin Pie ink, then used the edge of the Cajun Craze ink pad to drag color around the edges. I breathed on the stamp to re-moisten the ink before stamping on the Very Vanilla layer. Without re-inking, I then breathed on the stamp again to stamp in the upper right corner of the layer.

I stamped the greeting from Soft Seedlings with Cajun Craze ink, then I put the layer inside the Leaf Fall 3D embossing folder. To make this folder work correctly you need the Specialty Plate to layer on top of the folder without a cutting plate beneath it to crank through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. I have included the gray Specialty Plate in the clickable supply list below.

The thing I love most about this card is the pumpkin! I used the same ink dragging technique on the leaf stamp again, then stamped on a 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" square of Very Vanilla. I then stamped the pumpkin from Hello Harvest over the leaf with Cajun Craze and cut it with the coordinating Rustic Pumpkin Die. I mounted it on the card front with a dimensional in each "corner" of the pumpkin, then stacked two dimensionals on top of each other in the center to give it a bit of a rounded look. The magic really happened for me when I decided to paint some Clear Wink of Stella over the pumpkin! It intensified the colors of the leaf, as well as gave it some shimmer!

I finished the card front with randomly placed Brushed Brass Butterflies and Champagne Rhinestones.

On the inside layer I repeated the ink-dragging technique to ink and stamp the leaves again, and then stamped another Soft Seedlings sentiment. I stamped the leaves on the Very Vanilla envelope too.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Tuesday, September 21st!

Hey there! We had a busy weekend! Friday night we went to the "4th Annual Pumpkin Palooza" at Troy & Grace's house where there was a Pumpkin Carving Contest and the menu was all pumpkin-based, then on Saturday I had a booth at the Ina Fall Festival Craft Fair. Sunday was our regular family dinner after church, and then Sunday evening our church was in charge of the Ina Fall Festival Community Church Service, so it was altogether a full weekend!

Monday was a catch-up day for me and a day of caring for Fiona, so I'm glad I finally have been able to find some time to share these fall swaps with you!

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Harvest!

Hey there! Today I have a new card for you NOT created with Delicate Dahlias! Can you believe it? I've moved on to the Harvest Meadow Suite on pages 54-56 of the July-December Mini Catalog (aka Holiday catalog):

I colored the cone flowers directly on the image before stamping with Bumblebee, Cinnamon Cider, and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers. I have the list of supplies below. I added Clear Wink of Stella to the top of the flowers.

I used a sentiment from Quiet Meadow, stamped with Early Espresso ink on Bumblebee card stock and cut with one of the Harvest Dies. I added loops of Linen Thread that I cut after adhering and then a bit of 3/8" Diamond Weave Ribbon tied in a knot. I finished it off with a few Gilded Gems.

I used another sentiment from Quiet Meadow, then breathed on the remaining ink on the cone flowers image to get the faint look behind the sentiment. The designer paper is also from the Harvest Meadow Suite, called Harvest Meadow.

Fall and Christmas cards are my jam! I'm liking this card more and more!

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop September 2018 Anything BUT Christmas from the Holiday Catalog!

Hey there! It's time for another Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!

Our September theme is "anything BUT Christmas from the Holiday Catalog". I've been working on a Country Home October Class, so today I'm sharing one of those cards:

I colored the bouquet with Cajun Craze, Old Olive, and Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blends, cut them out by hand, then added Clear Wink of Stella to the Blackberry Bliss bloom and the cattails. I sponged the Basket Weave-embossed background with Crumb Cake ink.

I stamped the milk can with Jet Black StazOn on the Galvanized Metallic Paper before cutting out with Paper Snips.

I accented the greeting with a strip of Copper Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper and Artisan Pearls.

I sponged just about everything for a softer, country look!

Hey there! It's time for another Stampers Dozen Blog Hop!

Our September theme is "anything BUT Christmas from the Holiday Catalog". I've been working on a Country Home October Class, so today I'm sharing one of those cards:

I stamped the milk can with Jet Black StazOn on the Galvanized Metallic Paper before cutting out with Paper Snips.

I accented the greeting with a strip of Copper Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper and Artisan Pearls.

I sponged just about everything for a softer, country look!
