Stampin’ Up! Christmas Creations!

Hey there! Once again it's time for the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! Our theme for this month is "Christmas Creations", and I have a group of cards all created with the Frosted Gingerbread bundle and Gingerbread & Peppermint 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper!

Here's the group of cards I made with the "Arm Flap-Fold":

I started on each card by adhering a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Gingerbread & Peppermint Designer Series Paper to the front of an 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card base, scored and folded at 4 1/4". I used the snowflake from the Gingerbread Dies to cut through both front layers of the card. I cut another snowflake from Basic White to stamp the front greeting from Frosted Gingerbread.

I used the same snowflake die to cut a snowflake from the Gingerbread & Peppermint designer paper, then adhered it to the layers I cut from the front to give the snowflake more stability. I used a piece of coordinating card stock 3/4" x 4", scored at 2" to create the arm flap. One end of the flap is secured under the inside white layer. I closed the card and adhered the snowflake to the end of the arm flap through the cut snowflake opening. I added a Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestone to the center of the snowflake for some sparkle.

I stamped the inside sentiment from Tidings & Trimmings through the snowflake opening in the front layers when the card is closed so it will hide behind the snowflake on the arm flap.

I did the same process with the ornament, stamping the front greeting from Tidings & Trimmings.

I added a Shaded Spruce Holiday Rhinestone to the ornament center.

I stamped the Frosted Gingerbread greeting with Real Red ink.

For this Old Olive based version I used the star die and a greeting from Tidings & Trimmings.

A Shaded Spruce Holiday Rhinestone provides the bit of sparkle.

I stamped this Tidings & Trimmings sentiment behind the star with Real Red ink.

Finally, I cut the bell with another Gingerbread die from the Gingerbread & Peppermint designer paper, and the greeting is from Tidings & Trimmings.

I used another Cherry Cobbler Holiday Rhinestone to fill the bell's center.

I finished the inside of this one with a Frosted Gingerbread sentiment.

Hey there! I hope you all had a good Labor Day weekend! We spent the weekend in Branson, which has been my hubby & I's traditional trip for the past 20 years. We see a few shows, eat out of course, and relax! Two of our favorite shows are whatever is playing at the Sight & Sound Theater (this year it was "Jesus") and the Shepherd of the Hills Outdoor Play.

While I was in the car I was able to work on a few blog posts, and decided if everyone was a busy with other things this weekend like I was and weren't on the internet much, like me, I would save my projects for the coming week!

Stampin’ Up! Whimsy & Wonder!

Hey there! Today I have another card I created with the Whimsy & Wonder Specialty Designer Series Paper!

This time I used the flip side of each piece I used on my Delicate Dahlias Whimsy & Wonder card I shared with you HERE.

I used the Words of Cheer stamp set and Christmas Cheer Dies.

I heat embossed the bouquet from Words of Cheer with white powder on both the vellum layer and the Mint Macaron card base. I cut "happy" from both Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride card stock to layer together.

I adhered the heat-embossed "CHRISTMAS" to a snippet of Blushing Bride 3/8" Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon. I accented the greeting with a few Pearls Basic Jewels.

Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place Fun-fold!

Hey there! Today I have a fun new-to-me fold to share with you! I have no idea if it has an official name, so I'm just calling it an Arm-Flap fun-fold! lol!

I used the Penguin Place Bundle of stamps and punch, with the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper you can get free right now with an order of at least $50 during the August – September Sale-a-bration!

The penguin is stamped with Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the beak and feet with Flirty Flamingo ink, then punched with the Penguin Builder Punch. I stamped the hat and scarf with Fresh Freesia and easily cut them out with my Paper Snips. I added a few rhinestones to the card for some sparkle. The greeting is from Penguin Place, stamped on a narrow strip of white and then cut down even narrower with my Paper Trimmer.

The arm flap-fold is 1" wide x 4" long, scored at 2" so it can fold and be added under the white inside layer. I adhered the penguin, which I adhered to the circle cut-out from the front, to the end of the arm after closing the card to get the placement exact. I stamped a few sparkly snowflakes with Fresh Freesia.

The circle the penguin is attached to is perfect to cover up the inside I stamped with a sentiment from Tidings and Trimmings!

Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place Fun-fold!

Stampin’ Up! Beauty of Friendship Christmas!

Hey there! Today I have another double z-fold card, but I turned the presentation differently and used Evergreen Elegance stamp set with Beauty of the Earth Designer paper:

The Beauty of the Earth Designer paper contains some lovely prints that are perfect for Winter/Christmas cards! I paired them with Night of Navy card stock and ink, along with images and sentiments from Evergreen Elegance. I cut this front greeting with a Stitched Rectangle die and accented with a Night of Navy Holiday Rhinestone.

The measurements for this card:

Night of Navy base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4".

Night of Navy z-fold arm: 1" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 2 1/8" and 4 1/4". I flipped the arm around to adhere to the base so the z-fold arm folds are opposite of the base.

Front and middle panels designer paper: 2" x 5 1/2"

Back panel Basic White: 4" x 5 1/2"

Front panel greeting: white scrap at least 1 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Front z-fold arm panel: white 1" x 4 1/2"

Remaining z-fold arm panels: white 1" x 2 1/8" and 1" x 2

This card came together very quickly!

I used Night of Navy to stamp the tree tops, only re-inking after stamping each tree twice to get the lighter Night of Navy shade.
