Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Pines Sneak Peek!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Pines Sneak Peek!

Hey there! Wasn't the Grand Vacation Achiever's Blog Hop yesterday awesome?  SO MANY great projects from so many AWESOME demonstrators! I am so honored to be included in their group.

If you missed the hop, you can go HERE    starting at my post, and then use the links at the bottom to travel to all of the 41 other blogs for lots of Holiday Sneak Peek inspiration!

Today I'm continuing the Sneak Peek party with a card just finished for a swap I'm in using the Peaceful Pines stamps and Perfect Pines framelits bundle in the Holiday Catalog:

Stampin_up_peaceful_pines_1 - Copy

Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla, with tiny bits of Real Red and Gold Glimmer paper.

The frame around the trees is embossed with the Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Folder, then sponged with Mossy Meadow ink.

Stampin_up_peaceful_pines_2 - Copy

I punched Gold Glimmer paper with the Confetti Stars Border Punch, then added to the top of the tree with a glue dot.

The tiny Real Red Glimmer heart is punched with the Confetti Hearts Border Punch. It is even tinier than the star, so I used the new Fine Tip Glue Pen in the Holiday Catalog to adhere. Can I just say, if you don't think you need anything else from the Holiday Catalog, YOU DO NEED THE FINE TIP GLUE PEN.

Stampin_up_peaceful_pines_3 - Copy

Peaceful Pines is an all-inclusive set. You can make an entire card inside and out without needing to add any other stamps. Even the little strands of Christmas tree lights are in the photopolymer (clear) set!

That's all for now. My online store is the best place to find and order Stampin' Up! products: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Grand Vacation Achiever’s Blog Hop Holiday Sneak Peek!

GV_Blog_Hop_Banner_04

Hey there and welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for August 2015. The theme for the hop this month is Holiday Sneak Peek and we're all excited to share projects using new products from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!

You may be starting here at my blog, Carol Payne Stamps, or may have come here from the previous person to me on the list. If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog.

My creation for the hop features Flurry of Wishes Stamps and Snow Flurry Punch Bundle on page 25 of the Holiday Catalog:

Stampin_up_flurry_of_wishes_1 - Copy

I heat embossed the snowflake with white powder on Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper has a "sheen" that photographs as haziness around the embossed snowflake. The tiny snowflakes are in the paper's design. I added a single rhinestone to the center for more sparkle.

Stampin_up_flurry_of_wishes_2 - CopyHeat Embossing Tip: Winter Wonderland paper has A LOT of static, so using the Embossing Buddy is a MUST before stamping and heat embossing to prevent powder scatter!

I punched Silver Foil paper with the Snow Flurry Punch, using the smaller of the two snowflakes included in the punch. I added a Winter Wonderland Embellishment to the center with a glue dot.

Stampin_up_flurry_of_wishes_3 - CopyThe greeting from Flurry of Wishes is heat embossed on Basic Black and cut with a Deco Label Framelit. I cut a same-size Deco Label from Silver Foil  to mat behind.

Stampin_up_flurry_of_wishes_4 - Copy

Another glamorous addition to this card is the White 3/8" Glitter Ribbon. This ribbon is much more sparkly in real life, and is packaged with a roll of Gold 3/8" Glitter Ribbon.
Stampin_up_flurry_of_wishes_5 - Copy
Inside I stamped more Flurry of Wishes with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, adding a single rhinestone to the snowflake center.

Stampin’ Up! Merry Moments Banners!

Stampin’ Up! Merry Moments Banners!

Hey there! Today I have a card that I am IN LOVE with to share!

I started with new Whisper White Thick Card Stock from the Annual Catalog, then added 7/8" x 4 3/4" strips of Merry Moments Designer Paper punched with the Banner Triple Punch:

Stampin_up_merry_moments_banners_1 - Copy

This card just looks like snow, sweaters, and CHRISTMAS TIME  to me!

The Whisper White Thick card stock is super-smooth and sturdy, making it the perfect choice for a card base, particularly one that has thin strips instead of full layers.

I stamped a greeting from the "To You & Yours Too" set in the Holiday Catalog (only 6 more sleeps till you can place your first order!) along the bottom with Cherry Cobbler ink. Merry Moments Designer Paper has both Cherry Cobbler AND Real Red, as well as  Crumb Cake, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, and Whisper White, so you can play up different colors for varying looks!

Stampin_up_to_you_and_yours_too - Copy

I embossed a 1/2" wide Mossy Meadow strip with the Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Folder, adding a Snowflake Element and a Home for Christmas Designer Button. A bit of thread from 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon threaded in the button gives a rustic feel.

Stampin_up_merry_moments_1 - Copy

Inside I stamped a Versatile Christmas sentiment (another new Holiday Catalog set), and stars from To You & Yours Too.

Stampin_up_versatile_christmas - Copy

After punching the banners for the front I added all of these little "picket-fence/barns/home plate pieces to the inside. Whatever you call them, they're adorable!

Here's your shopping list: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Glue Dots

$5.25

Three things to remember while ordering:

1. All orders of any amount will receive a Thank You Project Packet in the mail from me!

2. Be sure to check out the Weekly Deals and Clearance Rack while you are shopping for savings ranging from 25% to 60% off!

Stampin’ up! Sleigh Ride Sneak Peek!

Stampin’ up! Sleigh Ride Sneak Peek!

Hey there! Today I have a Sneak Peek from the Holiday Catalog! Stampin' Up! allowed convention attendees to pre-pre-order a select group of products. Yay!

I took these pics of samples the Stampin' Up! Concept Artists had created with Sleigh Ride Edgelits and Jingle All the Way stamp set:

Stampin_up_sleigh_ride_12

The Sleigh Ride Edgelits cut a row of pine trees, a sleepy little winter village, and a horse and sleigh!

Stampin_up_sleigh_ride_9

Here's my creation:

Stampin_up_sleigh_ride_edgelits_1 - Copy

I used the new Happy Season set I received at the CentreStage Leadership part of Convention.

Tip: If you use vellum for one of the layers like I did for the trees on the hill, you will want to sandwich them between two layers so your adhesive doesn't show.

Stampin_up_sleigh_ride_edgelits_2 - Copy

Another tip: Be sure the die is entirely on the Cutting Plate. Don't let any of it hang off the edge. If it does hang off, it's could either bend or break.

I didn't use waxed paper or a dryer sheet to cut the edgelits, I just cranked them back and forth a couple of times, then used the smallest tip of my Simply Scored Stylus to poke out the little bitty pieces.

Stampin' Up! is also introducing the Precision Cutting Plate in the Holiday Catalog. It will cut using our framelits and edgelits WITHOUT needing to use waxed paper or dryer sheets! Can you say AWESOME?!?

I embossed the Whisper White layer with my new Softly Falling Textured Impressions Folder. I left the horse and sleigh stick out of the folder:

Stampin_up_sleigh_ride_edgelits_3 - Copy

Inside, I used the Holly Jolly Greetings set I received from Prize Patrol:

Stampin_up_sleigh_ride_edgelits_4 - Copy

Sorry, I don't know why this pic is a little fuzzy!

That's all for now. You can't order these products until September 1st, so there's no Product Shopping List,

However, you can still shop in my online store: carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Gifts and New Weekly Deals!

Stampin’ Up! Santa’s Gifts and New Weekly Deals!

Hey there! I think I'm a bit "convention lagged", similar to "jet lag". Salt Lake City is only one hour west, but the excitement, inspiration, and fun have taken their toll. It's a good "worn out", though. I've slept in two mornings in a row, so I am recovering!

Seriously, Inspire Create Share 2015 was fabulous! I learned lots, took lots of pictures, and laughed A LOT!

We also got to see and bring home a copy of the new Holiday Catalog. OH MY GOODNESS. YOU ARE GOING TO LOVE IT!!!!

Today I am sharing an extra card for my Christmas in July Class that didn't make the cut. It's made with the Santa's Gifts set from the Annual Catalog. Along with Christmas Cards, you always need a few thank you cards too!

Stampin_up_santas_gifts_thank_you_1

All the images are included in the Santa's Gifts set. I punched the banner from Merry Moments Designer Paper with the Banner Punch, then used glue dots to add to the card front for a "faux banner".

Stampin' Write Marker's colored the reindeer, and I punched the Silver Glimmer Paper star with the Confetti Stars Punch.

Stampin_up_santas_gifts_thank_you_2

I love the little potted Christmas Tree!

Stampin’ Up! Every Blessing!

Hey there! It's Monday, and you know that's my favorite day of the week! I just got home from the Stampin' Up! Inspire Create Share Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah, but I wanted to share with you this card from my Christmas in July class using the Every Blessing stamp set:

PicMonkey Collage 2015 white
A layer of Typeset Designer Paper, carried over by Stampin' Up! into the new Annual Catalog, frames the gold embossed layer.

We embossed the scripture verse on vellum with gold powder, then cut with a Chalk Talk Framelit. We attached with glue dots, which show through the vellum much less in real life.

Stampin_up_every_blessing_2

Inside we gold embossed the stars from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar set around the sentiment from Every Blessing.

That's all for now. You can find all of the supplies to make this card in my online store: carolpayne.stampinup.net
