Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Lots of Joy!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Lots of Joy!

Hey there! I'm back today for Sunday Swap Day! yay! All of today's cards are created with the Lots of Joy stamp set from the Annual Catalog:

First, Sandy Carlson  created a neat pull-up gift-card holder, using two prints from the Merry Moments paper, Real Red, Old Olive, Silver Glimmer, and rhinestones:

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_10

As you open the card it pulls up the gift card pocket!

Next, Peggy Murwin created a side-easel card:

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_7

This card makes a great table-top decoration:

There's even an extra greeting surprise!

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_9
Janet Wakeland used the Brick Wall folder as her background for her Merry & Bright greeting. The Cherry Cobbler Thick Baker's Twine bow really pops on the Crumb Cake "brick wall"!

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_6

My fellow Stamper's Dozen Blog hopper, Stella MacKay also used the Brick Wall folder for her background, adding touches of Silver Glimmer Paper and rhinestones for some sparkle!

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_5

Amy Combs used the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions folder for her background, adding a bit of a Tea Lace Paper Doily, Gold Glimmer star, Brights Candy Dots (on sale this week), rhinestones, and a couple of White Perfect Accents. I love that she stamped her greeting and mounted the punched tree on a Project Life 3" x 4" Grid Card!

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_4

Karen Kurz also used Stylish Stripes to emboss her background, then cut a ring of Gold Glimmer to frame the ornament.

Finally, Robin Merriman stamped the Hardwood background with Tip Top Taupe ink for a rustic look, pairing it with Real Red and Mossy Meadow. After punching her tags with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, she embossed the Real Red one with the Woodgrain folder:

Stampin’ Up! Woodland Sheltering Tree Peace!

Stampin’ Up! Woodland Sheltering Tree Peace!

Hey there! Today I have another card I created with the Woodland Textured Impressions Folder and Sheltering Tree:

Stampin_up_sheltering_tree_peace_1 - Copy

This is the same easy layout as the fall Woodland Sheltering Tree I shared a couple of weeks ago HERE.

I inked the raised side of the Woodland folder with Marina Mist ink  and my brayer before I ran it through the Big Shot to get the background color behind the trees

Stampin_up_sheltering_tree_peace_5 - Copy

I heat embossed the Sheltering Trees with silver powder and matted a layer of Silver Foil behind them. I also cut the Christmas Greeting Thinlet "peace" from the same Silver Foil, adhering with my trusty Fine Tip Glue Pen to the Boughs & Berries embossed strip.

Stampin_up_sheltering_tree_peace_3 - Copy

The Winter Wonderland Embellishments anchor each side of the greeting.

Inside I silver heat embossed a phrase from Versatile Christmas, and punching all four corners with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch.

Stampin’ Up! Home for Christmas Banners Again!

Stampin’ Up! Home for Christmas Banners Again!

Hey there! I have one more banner card for you today, created with more designs from the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper:

Stampin_up_home_for_christmas_peace_1 - Copy

I used the Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions folder again for the border, and another Christmas Greetings Thinlets Die, "peace", for the greeting.

I've been punching the banner ends with the Banner Triple Punch. This punch has channels to guide a 1", 1 1/2", and 2" wide strip of paper in to punch the banner flag ends. In order for my banners to fit inside the open space of the Boughs & Berries folder I cut my strips 7/8" wide. It's still pretty simple to just "eyeball" to keep the spacing even in the 1" channel. The most important thing is to make sure you push the paper in as far as it will go before you punch.

Even banner triple punching - Copy

I cut Gold Foil paper with the Christmas Greetings die, then punched Gold Foil scraps with one of the elements in the Festive Flower Builder Punch a couple of times to create the little flower on the end. I used my trusty Fine Tip Glue Pen (have you ordered one yet? You NEED this glue pen!) to adhere this skinny little word to the project. I finished it off with a Real Red Home for Christmas Enamel Dot, which makes the red in the snow-covered houses in the center strip pop!

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog Home for Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog Home for Christmas!

Hey there! The Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog went live this morning! yay! You can  order to your heart's content in my online store NOW!

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

To celebrate the beginning of the Holiday Catalog, I created this fun card using my favorite designer paper, Home for Christmas!

Stampin_up_home_for_christmas_1 - Copy

Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper has 12 different retro-inspired designs. So many great choices! I used the same banners layout as my Merry Moments card I posted HERE.

Stampin_up_home_for_christmas_2 - Copy

I embossed the Mossy Meadow layer with the new Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Folder, which coordinates perfectly with Home for Christmas paper!

I added a 1/4" wide strip of Gold Glimmer paper for sparkle. A Snowflake Element topped with a Real Red Home for Christmas Enamel Dot looks  like Rudolph's nose!

Stampin_up_home_for_christmas_3 - Copy

I just love this retro reindeer/Rudolf, don't you?

Stampin_up_home_for_christmas_4 - Copy

I added a Real Red "merry" cut with a Christmas Greetings Thinlets Die. I used the new Fine Tip Glue Pen on pg 43 of the Holiday Catalog to adhere. This glue flows smoothly but is easy to control, dries clear,  is not tacky, cleans up with water, and includes a pin mounted inside the lid to keep the tip open. It's a papercrafter's dream come true!

Stampin_up_home_for_christmas_5 - Copy

Inside I inked an image from the Cozy Christmas set with Real Red and Mossy Meadow Markers to stamp in between more Home for Christmas banners.

Here's the supply list for today's card. FINALLY you can order all of the supplies in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Stampin_up_peaceful_pines_1 - Copy

Mossy Meadow, Very Vanilla, with tiny bits of Real Red and Gold Glimmer paper.

The frame around the trees is embossed with the Boughs & Berries Textured Impressions Folder, then sponged with Mossy Meadow ink.

Stampin_up_peaceful_pines_2 - Copy

I punched Gold Glimmer paper with the Confetti Stars Border Punch, then added to the top of the tree with a glue dot.

The tiny Real Red Glimmer heart is punched with the Confetti Hearts Border Punch. It is even tinier than the star, so I used the new Fine Tip Glue Pen in the Holiday Catalog to adhere. Can I just say, if you don't think you need anything else from the Holiday Catalog, YOU DO NEED THE FINE TIP GLUE PEN.
