Stampin’ Up! Stampers Dozen Blog Hop November Foil, Foil, Foil!

Hey there and welcome to the Stamper's Dozen Blog Hop for November! Our theme this month is Foil, Foil, Foil! Everyone on the hop is using foil sheets, designer paper, snowflakes, etc, in their projects! I can't wait to see what everyone is creating!

1723402_10152213035905070_85588169_n

For my project this month I used Merry Little Labels and Snowflake Sentiments stamps with Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper to create this:

Stampin_up_merry_little_labels_foil_carolpaynestamps1

Starting with a Marina Mist card base, I layered on two different prints from the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper, followed by a gold snowflake from the Foil Snowflakes pack.

Stampin_up_merry_little_labels_foil_carolpaynestamps2

I heat embossed an image from the Merry Little Labels stamp set with gold powder on Whisper White, then punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch.

Stampin_up_merry_little_labels_foil_carolpaynestamps3

I wrapped Whisper White 1/8" Sheer Ribbon 6 times around the span of my fingers, then tied the center with another piece of the same ribbon to create a bow I adhered with a glue dot.

Inside I layered another piece of Year of Cheer Specialty, then added a white layer I heat embossed a Snowflake Sentiment phrase with gold powder.

Now it's time to travel on to Rachel Yurkanin's blog to see her foil creation!

Stampin’ Up! Quilted Christmas Kitty!

Stampin’ Up! Quilted Christmas Kitty!

Hey there! Despite a flight delay in Houston we did arrive home before midnight last night. While the beds at the Hilton were comfy, it was even better to sleep in my own bed! Today will be a day of unpacking, catching up on laundry, and all of those little things that are left undone while the mom is on a trip! If I ever start to feel superfluous, all I have to do is go away for a few days and I'm reminded that I am when I return! lol!

I have a lot of swaps and ideas to share, but I still have a couple of "fresh" creations to share before I do. Today I'm sharing a Christmas card I created with the Quilted Christmas suite in the Holiday Catalog and the Cat Punch!

Stampin_up_quilted_christmas_kitty_carolpaynestamps1

It's an easel card (love that fold!) created with Garden Green, Real Red, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, and Quilted Christmas 6" x6" Designer Series Paper!

Stampin_up_quilted_christmas_kitty_carolpaynestamps2

This print from the Christmas Quilt Designer Series Paper makes it easy to create this "quilted" card. I simply cut out one of the quilt squares from the sheet, adhered to a mat of Real Red and then on of Whisper White, then embossed all of it with the Quilt Top Textured Impression Embossing Folder. I created the center embellishment with a die from the Card Front Builder Thinlets, Carols of Christmas stamps, and a Pearl Basic Jewel I colored with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends.

Stampin_up_quilted_christmas_kitty_carolpaynestamps3

Hello Kitty! I punched a Crumb Cake kitty with the Cat Punch, then sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink for a Siamese look. I added 1/8" Real Red Solid Ribbon and a greeting from Merry Cafe' punched with the Classic Label Punch.

Stampin_up_quilted_christmas_kitty_carolpaynestamps4

The easel "stop" is created with the Pretty Label Punch, stamped with another word from Merry Cafe'.

Stampin_up_quilted_christmas_kitty_carolpaynestamps5

Inside sentiment is from Christmas Quilt.

Stampin’ Up! Woodland Season Like Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Woodland Season Like Christmas!

Hey there! We experienced another fantastic day at the Stampin' Up! OnStage Live in Salt Lake City yesterday. I can hardly wait to share everything with you!  You won't have to wait long, the curfew will be lifted next week!

While my head has been swimming in Spring with the Occasions Catalog, I have another Christmas card to share with you today. I created this card for a hostess' Stamp-a-Stack. She wanted to learn how to stamp on the Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder so the image appears to be behind the trees. I created this card with the Woodland Folder and the Season Like Christmas set.

Stampin_up_woodland_season_like_christmas_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped on the negative side of the Woodland folder with a Season Like Christmas tree with Tranquil Tide ink before inserting the white layer and cranking through the Big Shot.

Stampin_up_woodland_season_like_christmas_carolpaynestamps3

I used a sponge dauber to add Smoky Slate ink to the trunks and branches.

Stampin_up_woodland_season_like_christmas_carolpaynestamps2

I heat-embossed a Merry Mistletoe greeting with white Stampin' Emboss Powder onto a strip of Tranquil Tide card stock. I cut one end into banner tips before  adhering to the card front with dimensionals.

Stampin_up_woodland_season_like_christmas_carolpaynestamps4

I cut two snowflakes with a four-point Snowflake Sentiment thinlet, then glue-dotted then together to create an 8-point Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer snowflake. I added a single rhinestone to the center.

Stampin_up_woodland_season_like_christmas_carolpaynestamps5

Inside I stamped another Season Like Christmas phrase with Tranquil Tide ink,  sponged the edges with Smoky Slate ink, and then stamped a couple more trees, stamping the lighter one without re-inking the image.

Stampin’ Up! Merry & Bright Hearts Come Home!

Stampin’ Up! Merry & Bright Hearts Come Home!

Hey there! Let me start by apologizing for no post yesterday. Pretty much all day I was traveling to Salt Lake City, Utah for the Stampin' Up! OnStage Live. We will get to see the Occasions Catalog and the Sale-a-bration Catalogs that start in January 2018, and we will get to play with some of the products too! We flew to Salt Lake City yesterday (with a layover in Dallas),  had a yummy supper at Olive Garden, and then went to bed super early. Relaxing is a golden commodity; I'm soaking it up!

The card I'm sharing with you today is another I created for the November Creative Crew Challenges. This was the second project for the Sketch Challenge. I used Hearts Come Home and the Softy Falling Textured Impressions Folder:

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps1

Here is the sketch. We were to create a tag or a tag to go on a card front.

0c532417d16d313c8e0a7ed84406a7d2

I just received the Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack in my last class order. Now I can't figure out why I waited so long to get this trim! A roll of Real Red and a roll of Silver. I used just a little bit to tie off the 1/8" Gold Ribbon on the top of the tag.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps2

Speaking of the top of the tag, I used a thinlet from the Hometown Greeting Edgelits (you can bundle these with the Hearts Come Home set to save 10%!) to cut the top of the 2" wide tag.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps3

I love the softly scalloped look of the tag top, and the tiny heart left over I also used on the card!

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps4

I stamped the Santa's sleigh with Smoky Slate and the stars with Marina Mist.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps5

 There's the tiny heart!

Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Home CCREW1117INSP!

Stampin’ Up! Hearts Come Home CCREW1117INSP!

Hey there! Today I am heading to Springfield, IL with my oldest daughter for her son, Cohen's, field trip to the Lincoln Museum, Tomb, Home, and the State Capitol Building! I'm "taking the day off" from everything. How often do we get to do that?

Today I'm sharing with you another card I created for the Creative Crew over on Splitcoaststampers.com. This challenge was an inspiration challenge. Let me show you my card and then I'll show you the inspiration piece. I used the Hearts Come Home set with  Stitched Shapes and Layering Squares framelits, embossing the white background with the Winter Wonder Textured Impression folder.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps1

I love this little Real Red/Soft Suede house! So cozy! The smoke stamp in this set is so easy to stamp coming right up out of the chimney too!

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps2

I added a single Pearl Basic Jewel to the center of the embossed snowflake. I tried coloring a pearl with the Bronze Stampin' Blends marker, but it was just too much. I liked the softness of no color for the background best.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps3

I inked the house and the greeting with Real Red and Soft Suede Stampin' Write markers.

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps4

Another cozy house and Hearts Come Home sentiment for the inside:

Stampin_up_hearts_come_home_carolpaynestamps5
