Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Noel!

Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Noel!

Hey there! The card I'm sharing with you today was also created for my class last Friday night. I really hadn't given the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper or the Peaceful Noel stamp set enough love, so I decided to make another card with another print from the pack and use the elegant "Noel" to go with it!

Stampin_up_peaceful_noel_carolpaynestamps1

The Frosted Floral Specialty print I chose reminds me of ivy/mistletoe, so I used a 4" x 5 1/4" piece on the Tranquil Tide card front. I added a piece of retiring Tranquil Tide 1/4" Velvet Ribbon with a bit of SNAIL adhesive, then added a Tranquil Tide layer cut with a Stitched Shapes Framelit.

Stampin_up_peaceful_noel_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped "Noel" from Peaceful Noel (retiring) with Tranquil Tide on a white layer, then added pine needles with stamped-off Tranquil Tide. The little leaves directly under the greeting was stamped with Soft Seafoam. I cut it all out with a brand-new framelit from the Rose Trellis Thinlets, available on January 3rd from the Occasions Catalog. Three pearls are the finishing touch.

Stampin_up_peaceful_noel_carolpaynestamps4

Inside I used a phrase from the retiring "His Light" set, and more Peaceful Noel foliage. I covered the envelope flap with a coordinating piece of the same Frosted Floral Specialty.

Stampin’ Up! Making Every Day Bright!

Stampin’ Up! Making Every Day Bright!

Hey there! Last Friday I held my final stamp camp of the Christmas season at Donna's house. I will resume my classes on January 1st, but I still have a few Christmas cards to share before I get serious about sharing Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalog Sneak Peeks!

Today's share is a Christmas card I created for Donna's class with the Making Every Day Bright stamp set and Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper, both of which are on the retiring-while-supplies-last list. I needed a quick-and-cute card and this little penguin was perfect! The pearlized shine of the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Paper helped provide a cold and wintry look!

Stampin_up_making_every_day_bright_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped three little pennies with Tuxedo Black ink on a white scrap, then punched with the Christmas Bulb punch. I colored their stocking caps with a Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends Marker (available January 3rd), then added a little bit of Clear Wink of Stella for cold wintry shine.

Stampin_up_making_every_day_bright_carolpaynestamps2

I stamped "Bright", from the not-retiring Making Christmas Bright, with black ink, then surrounded it with Balmy Blue snowflakes from the Making Every Day Bright set. I stamped each snowflake twice  before re-inking to get the two shades of Balmy Blue, and added a dot of Wink of Stella to each. You don't have to use a lot of different embellishment if you have a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush! I punched the greeting with the Pretty Label Punch, then cut a Balmy Blue one with my scissors to adhere behind it.

Stampin_up_making_every_day_bright_carolpaynestamps3

Inside I used another Making Christmas Bright sentiment and more Balmy Blue snowflakes:

Stampin_up_making_every_day_bright_carolpaynestamps4

Seems like there should be a song about these little guys, doesn't it?

Stampin’ Up! Snowmen Families!

Stampin’ Up! Snowmen Families!

Hey there! Today I want to share with you a couple of my favorite Christmas decorations. Both sets of these were created by my daughter, Alisa, and hold places of honor in our home every Christmas!

First, this glass jar snowmen family has been growing little by little ever since Alisa was in grade school. A room mother showed the 6th grade class how to make these with a glass jar, a tube sock, stuffing, and bits of fabric. Alisa started making these to represent each member of our family; as siblings marry and babies are born she creates another snowman to add to the family. Some of the snowmen have "grown"; as the tiniest snowmen grow they will be replaced with a slightly larger version of themselves. We've even had "babes-in-arms" snowbabies!

Stampin_up_mason_jar_snowmen_carolpaynestamps1

I added a special shelf this year to display this tiny snowmen family, also created by Alisa. With 7 grandchildren under the age of 7, the only way these little guys, formed with Sculpy Clay and baked in the oven, have a chance of survival is if they are kept out of reach! lol!

Stampin_up_sculpy_clay_snowmen_carolpaynestamps1

First, Mark & I:

Stampin_up_sculpy_clay_snowmen_carolpaynestamps2

Then Jessica's family: Johnny, Jessica, Maddie Kate, Ava, Cohen, and Jaxon:

Stampin_up_sculpy_clay_snowmen_carolpaynestamps3

Kimberly's group: Tony, Kimberly, Liam, and Darcy:

Stampin_up_sculpy_clay_snowmen_carolpaynestamps4

Alisa's bunch: Cody, Alisa, Oakley, Lando, & Ivory (baby Cyndal's snowbaby will be added by Christmas Day!)

Stampin_up_sculpy_clay_snowmen_carolpaynestamps6

"The boys": Troy, Logan, and Ben. (Grace will be added with Troy next Christmas!)

Stampin_up_sculpy_clay_snowmen_carolpaynestamps5

Considering how tiny these are (the tallest is only 1 1/2 inches high), the attention to detail is amazing!

Cohen's "newsboy" hat:

Ben's long stocking cap:

Stampin_up_sculpy_clay_snowmen_carolpaynestamps8

Darcy's pink peppermint stripes!

Stampin’ Up! November Paper Pumpkin!

Stampin’ Up! November Paper Pumpkin!

Hey there! Saturday I Christmas Shopped ALL DAY with my girls and got lots of names checked off my list. We walked and walked and walked all over the mall and made multiple trips out to the van to store our packages. My feet were cramping just a bit before we headed home, and buddy, I was tired yesterday! I have lots of things on the plate for today, but I just want to jump on here this morning and share a quick post with you about Paper Pumpkin!

As you may be aware, Paper Pumpkin is Stampin' Up!'s monthly crafting subscription box, and membership has EXPLODED in the past few years, so much that the December box was SOLD OUT before the November box shipped! Today would normally be the last day to subscribe to the December box, but no new subscriptions are being taken this month. I'm sure Stampin' Up! will increase their kit count for January, so you will be able to subscribe to the January box (each box contents is a surprise!) so for today I want to share with you the gorgeousness of the November Kit!

Instead of the normal red monthly box, Stampin' Up! dressed up the November box for Christmas!

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_carolpaynestamps

This was my first glimpse of the November box!

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_carolpaynestamps1

The kit contained all of the supplies to make 10 absolutely beautiful Christmas cards!

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_carolpaynestamps3

Each kit contains an exclusive stamp set and a Stampin' Spot of ink (some kits contain two spots),

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_carolpaynestamps2

Here's one design:

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_carolpaynestamps4

The pine branches were laser-cut and ready to add to the card with glue dots. The Cherry Cobbler Linen Trim and self-adhesive gold sequins were included in the kit:

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_carolpaynestamps6

The second kit design featured placing the laser-cut branches in a wreath!

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_carolpaynestamps5

The banners were ready for stamping! It was quick and easy to put these ten cards together!

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_carolpaynestamps7

The stamp set included this fun inside sentiment, and the pine frond, which I stamped in my own Garden Green ink.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_carolpaynestamps8

The included envelopes were already lined:

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day December 9th!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day December 9th!

Hey there! It's Sunday and time for Sunday Swap Day! Yay!

Today's swaps are all from the Stampin' Up! OnStage in Orlando last month.

First a pretty snowy adaptation of the dancing girl from Beautiful You! Did you ever think Mrs. Clause was ever this young and thin? Me either, but just like the rest of us, she was!

ETA: Jennie Portonova is the creator of this card.

After a Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend Marker colored her dress, the background was embossed the the Softly Falling Textured Impressions folder. The finishing touch is the white embossing paste added to create the fur trim! The greeting is from the retiring Holiday Catalog set, Making Christmas Bright.

Stampin_up_beautiful_you_carolpaynestamps1

The creator of this lovely card heat embossed the greeting from Merry Christmas to All with white powder on the Basic Black Stitched Label for a "chalkboard" look. The pinecones were cut with a Pretty Pines Thinlet and held together with a bow of 1/4" Copper Trim.

Stampin_up_merry_christmas_to_all_carolpaynestamps1

The Winter Woods Bundle was used to create this lovely gem. The tree is accented with Shimmery White Embossing Paste and Red Rhinestones add extra sparkle. The greeting is from Star of Light. Winter Woods stamps and Into the Woods Thinlets are not retiring, but the bundle of both together is!

Stampin_up_winter_woods_carolpaynestamps1

Finally, a quick card using carrying-over Wishing You Well with retiring Festive Farmhouse Designer Paper.
