Stampin’ Up! Festival of Prints Blossom/Modern Label Flower!

Stampin’ Up! Festival of Prints Blossom/Modern Label Flower!

I'm still working on the projects for Cindy's party on Saturday. She chose another card from my card sale rack that I CASED into another Christmas Card! Lookie:

I LOVE it! I'm completely blown away by how great it turned out! Two homeruns in a row, what do you think? I pulled my color palette from the colors in the Festival of Prints Designer Paper I chose, then added Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, a Real Red Glimmer Brad, and of course this fab flower made with the Blossom Punch and the Modern Label! The smallest snowflake from the Snow Flurry Bigz Die adds just the perfect touch to make it more Christmassy!

Here's the original I made during Sale-a-bration this past year:

Most of the elements of the above card are now retired, with the exception of the Blossom & Modern Label Punches, and the Chamomile Standard Wheel.

I went super-simple on the inside, but did add a cute little 1 1/4" Scallop Circle flower in the corner, finshed off with a 4-petal flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a Brights Brad!

That's all for today! I'm off to O'Fallon this afternoon for the Moye PTO Holiday Boutique, but first my grandsons, Cohen & Jaxon, are coming to stay for a few hours while their mommy runs some errands!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up!

Stampin’ Up!

I've been going back through my computer files and keep finding cards I never posted. Shame on me!

This fun card we made at one of the Christmas Card Club Classes earlier this season. We used the "Scentsational Season" Bundle of stamps and framelits to create this 3-D card!

We also used the "Festival of Prints" Designer Paper Stack from the Holiday Catalog and "Be of Good Cheer" Designer Paper from the Annual Catalog!

Punches from the "Merry Minis" Punch Pack were used for the star at the top of the tree and for the tiny mini-trees here on the inside:

All of the words used are from the "More Merry Messages" in the Annual Catalog!

I apologize for the late posting today. Lots going on, including a workshop tonight with Margaret Frazier in Salem, IL!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Stampin’ Up! First Christmas Shadowbox Card!

Stampin’ Up! First Christmas Shadowbox Card!

I used a beautiful Holiday Catalog set, "First Christmas", to create this "shadowbox" card:

First christmas 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I chose to use the Early Espresso Core'dinations cardstock for the front of the "stable".

Stampingrox! Product Review: After running this layer through the Big Shot in the "Woodgrain" Embossing Folder, I found the condition of the paper to be a bit more delicate than I really liked for a card with so many folds, but I was able to make it work! I also used the new "Stampin' Sanding System" to increase the distressed look of the woodgrain, which of course made the cardstock even more delicate! In the future I will limit my use of this particular cardstock to a flat second layer.

I heat embossed the baby in the manger, the greeting, and the star with Pewter Stampin' Emboss Powder. All were cut out with either the Labels or Bitty Banners Framelit Dies, as was the opening in the center of the "stable". The holly and berries embellishments were created with one of the leaf and stem "Cannery" framelits and Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.

Hope you've enjoyed my "shadowbox" card!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! Day!

Stampin’ Up! Make a Mitten!

Stampin’ Up! Make a Mitten!

Here's a cute card I designed for some of my workshops this month using the "Make a Mitten" stamp set, "Greetings of the Season" stamp set, Mitten Builder Punch, and "Snow Festival Designer Tags"! I also used "Snow Festival" Designer Series Paper and Gumball Green Sweater Trim!

Make a mitten 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Can you see the hint of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the mitten cuffs? Adding it exactly where I wanted it was easy with my 2 Way Glue Pen!

The mittens are attached to the sweater trim with a couple of glue dots on each, then the sweater trim bow is attached to the card with three glue dots!

And the inside:

This card was super-easy to make and really has a clean, fresh, Scandanavian look to it, don't you think?

That's all for today, until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox! Day"!

Hello again! Can I just say this month has been probably my busiest one ever? Workshops, classes, clubs, stamp camps, and a trip to St. George, Utah, for the Stampin' Up! Founder's Circle Retreat! I need to pause right here for just a minute to thank all of my stamping friends and downline, for helping me get there! Thank you, Thank you, Thank YOU!

Here's a super-cute little project we will be making at my workshops in October inspired by Dawn Olchefske and Kay Kaltoff:
