Stampin’Up! Kraft Boxes & Quick Snow Festival Tags!

Stampin’Up! Kraft Boxes & Quick Snow Festival Tags!

With the day approaching quicker than I can keep up with, I was so glad to be able to pull out some of my Kraft Boxes, Snow Festival Tags, and Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle Ribbon to put together the gifts for my Sister-in-laws in a snap!

The gifts I have prepared for them are all Stampin' Up! (Paper Snips in Stampin' Up! Fabric snip pouches-but don't worry, I don't think any of them read my blog!). Snip pouches are small and a slightly awkward shape for wrapping, so I needed special packaging for them:

Gift 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

What do you think? The pouches with the snips in them will not quite fit inside the Kraft Box with the lid closed, so I just wrapped them in some coordinating kraft colored tissue paper and tied the top with the Cherry Cobbler Scalloped Tulle! Quick and easy! I then decorated the boxes with just a few strips of Be of Good Cheer Designer Paper and some Stampin' Dimensionals:

Gift 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I folded one flap inside the box and left the other two and the lid up to create more form and sides for the pouch, then added a Snow Festival Tag with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used my Stampin' Dazzle Gold Marker to write on the tag!

Gift 3
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

So there you go! Quick and EASY! The Kraft Boxes are an exceptional value at $2.95 for FOUR boxes, the Cherry Cobbler Tulle is a dream to tie and fluff up the bows, and the Snow Festival Tags are another amazing value at $3.95 for a package of 25! These are now all ready to travel to my Mother-in-law's Christmas Eve gathering! Check one item off the TO DO LIST!!!!!

Until next time, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Angel Paper!

Stampin’Up! Angel Paper!

This past Sunday my husband and I sang in our church choir's presentation of "The Offering", which included a drama that wove a heartfelt story in with the songs to enhance the melodies and lyrics' meaning. During practice it was mentioned that the girl in the story, Maggie, needed "angel paper" to wrap her present for the baby Jesus. The program director said she hadn't had time to find angel paper, so I volunteered to make some with my Stampin' Up! supplies, and here it is:

Angel paper 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I used the stamp set, Rejoicing In You, to stamp the angels in Versamark on plain white tissue paper. I then sprinkled them with Gold embossing powder and heated with my Heat Tool. At first I was a bit worried about applying heat to the tissue, but while the Heat Tool DOES get really hot, it only took a quick pass over the powder to melt it and there was no danger of burning the paper!

I stamped one of the stars from the Merry Minis stamp set in the Holiday catalog in the same manner to fill in the space around the angels.

Maggie also needed a wrapped box for the play, so I wrapped one of our Kraft Boxes with the embossed paper.

Angel paper 1

Maggie's grandpa states that he thinks the "angel paper" might actually be birds, so these angels were perfect!

I LOVE it when I can use my Stampin' Up! supplies to enhance my "real life"!

Until next time, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin' Up! has added over 300 items to the clearance rack, some at 80% off!

Go to my Online Store to view and order:

While you are here, take a look at this adorable little "Kiss-mas" tree I made from directions I found on Brenda Quintana's website:

Tree
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

How stinkin' adorable is this? Why the egg, you ask? So you can get an idea of just how miniature and cute this little tree treat is! It also fits perfectly inside one of our Clear Translucent Envelopes, perfect for gifting to teachers, co-workers, and friends!

That's all for now, I'm going Christmas shopping with my daughters today! Every year we take one whole day to shop together for our family's Christmas. Some years we've only just shopped and had a nice meal out without really getting much purchased in the way of gifts, but the day is really about being together!

See you tomorrow for another Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! More Merry Messages!

Stampin’Up! More Merry Messages!

This card is a very simple, clean, vintage card that has been a favorite with my stamping friends this season. While "simple", "clean", and "vintage" don't really sound like they go together, this card really does fit all of those categories!

This card was a swap, but I'm not sure if it was a swap from Founder's or my monthly swap I participate in, but whoever created it really did an outstanding job! It's hard to do vintage without getting carried away with embellishments, but she held herself in and created the perfect combination when she embossed the Core'dinations Early Espresso cardstock with the Lacy Brocade Folder then lightly sanded it with the new Sanding System to expose the lighter core. The addition of the Champagne Glimmer paper cut with the Tasteful Trim Die and the Cherry Cobbler 3 1/2" Scalloped Tulle Ribbon make this card really pop but are easy to add with Tombow and Glue Dots!

Very merry 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

She finished the front with a greeting from More Merry Messages, a new Christmas favorite of mine!

The inside is finished with another simple yet effective phrase, the single wood-mount stamp from the Holiday Catalog, Heart of Christmas!

Very merry 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

That's all for today! Lots to do today. I only have one stamping party left before Christmas, for my good friend Tudy Hoffman at Nashville, IL, but of course there's lots to do just getting ready for Christmas with our family! I'm going to get my haircut today, something that is long overdue in more ways than one! ha! There's also a box of new stampin' goodies I have pre-ordered from the new spring Occasions catalog calling my name! I can hardly wait to start playing with them and sharing with you all!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Craziness!

Stampin’ Up! Craziness!

Well, life got even crazier than "bad cookies" after my last post, nothing awful, just crazy busy, and I simply didn't have time to even think about blogging until now, so here's a few cards for your eyes to feast on:
Be of good cheer 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I love the ribbon slide from the Holiday Catalog on this card, which was part of the Holiday Card Bonanza in November. I received this card as a swap at Founder's Circle, but I have lost the maker's name, I'm sorry. As I was prepping for this class I was trying to figure out which Designer Paper the Cherry Cobbler polka-dotted label had been cut from with an Apothecary Accents die, but couldn't for the life of me figure it out. Finally I peeked under the "a very merry Christmas to you" punched oval and discovered it was actually stamped! The stamp is from "Layered Labels", and is such a clever idea:

©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Layered Labels Clear-Mount Stamp Set also available in wood-mount

$25.95

Item #127072

Price: $25.95

Well, I'd better get going, my crazy life is still pretty crazy, and today I have added to the craziness by scheduling a Pampered Chef Party at my house tonight with my good friend, Ruth Czerwonka! I really enjoy getting to sit back, relax, and let someone else run the party for a change!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
