Happy Valentine’s Day!
Merry Winter!
So sorry for such a late post today, but I've been working on a few things today, trying to clean up some of my loose ends from my last few classes, trying to get ready for a Ladies Friendship Circle Party here at my house on Thursday night (decorating, home improvement, etc), as well as getting ready for my final Vendor Fair of the year this coming Saturday. Throw in going with my daughter to her 37-week o.b. appointment tomorrow, Christmas Shopping with my girls tomorrow evening, my granddaughter Ava's school Christmas Program on Friday afternoon, and babysitting for all three grandkids on Friday night (my husband, "PaPa", and I "Grammy" will tag-team that event!) I'm not really sure how smooth the week will go!
I started playing around with some ideas this evening for my Big Shot Class this coming Monday the 12th and this is what I cam up with:
I must say I am VERY pleased with it as it came out just exactly how I envisioned it in my head! All supplies used are Stampin' Up!, and with the exception of the silver cording, which is retired (sigh), all current and available to order!
Let me know if you would be interested in a kit for these. I might be persuaded!
If you want to come to my class, it is next Monday, December 12th, at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. No afternoon class this month. The class is FREE to anyone who RSVP's to me by Sunday, December 11th. I will have some fun ordering specials only available on the 13th, so hope to see you here at my house!
I've got to run, it's getting late and I have a BIG mess to clean up on my creative area before I go to bed, so I hope your day "Stampingroxed!"

December 1st means Christmas REALLY IS coming!
Good morning Stampers! Happy December 1st! Does reality set in for you on this day every year? It does for me.This is the day when I realize I REALLY ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT GETTING READY FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until today I can be more relaxed about it all and work on Christmas when it is convenient, but from today on, Christmas becomes my focus! As a lot of you know, I have a large family; 6 kids-three married daughters and 3 and more-than-a-half grandchildren! My husband comes from a large family too; he is one of 8, and this is the year they all come home for Christmas!
With that said, I now have all of you to help me stay accountable for keeping my focus on the Christmas Holidays and everything that needs to be ready before they start!
In case you need more inspiration for Christmas, today I am sharing an adorable owl card we made at the West Frankfort class earlier this week:
Riding Hood red is the card base color, which as been stamped with Riding Hood Red snowflakes and sponged with Whisper White Craft ink and a sponge dauber.
This was a quick, 2 card class, so we dispensed with building the owl's eyes, (which are included in the Owl Builder Punch), and added google-eyes with Mini Glue Dots. If I had it to do over again I would white emboss the "Christmas Greetings" on the front, but oh well, sometimes you just have to go the easy route and let yourself off the hook!
Gotta go now, and get crackin' on that "to do" list!
Until tomorrrow, have a "Stampingrox!" day

How to make the Cardstock Gift Bag!
Happy Thanksgiving Stampers!
Thought I would share with you all today my brief tutorial to make the lunchsack giftbag I showed you a few days ago. This one is in Always Artichoke, but is the same size and uses the same Jolly Jingles Jumbo wheel!
The card on the front of this bag was made with the "Bright Hopes" stamp set, also from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The technique used on the strip on the left-hand side of the card is the "rubber cement peel" technique.(Let me know if you want a tutorial about this technique!)
So! Here we go to make a cardstock giftbag:
Begin by cutting an 8 1/2 x 11" sheet of cardstock in half at 5 1/2".
Wheel both pieces of cardstock with the Jolly Jingles Jumbo Wheel.
To create bag handle, insert the Extra Large Punch as far as it will go into the 5 1/2" side of the cardstock. Use your "eyeballs" to center the oval, then punch one layer only. WARNING: do not try to punch multiple layers of cardstock with your punches. Punching more than one layer at a time can result in the punch breaking or the cardstock becoming stuck in the punch.
Lay the punched cardstock layer over the un-punched layer to use as a guide to punch the second handle.Insert the Extra Large Oval Punch around the first punched oval and gently squeeze the punch to just barely indent the paper. Remove the punched layer, then line up the punch with the indentations and punch the second handle.
Cut a regular-sized lunchsack down to 5 1/2". Attach to un-wheeled side of both cardstock pieces with Sticky Strip along the sides as shown above.
Cut the top flap of the Clear Translucent envelope off even with the shorter side. Attach to front of sack with Sticky Strip placed in the "T" formation shown above. (Please excuse this picture as the clear envelope was laid on the cardstock in order to allow the reader to see the Sticky Strip placement, the envelope should actually be turned around the other way with the bottom of the envelope matching along the bottom of the bag front-this picture shows it upside down!) 🙁
That's it! Tie a piece of ribbon around the bag handles, insert your card and you are done!
I'm truly thankful for so many things today, one of which is the freedom to share my love of stamping with all of you!
Hope you have a great "Stampingrox!" Thanksgiving!
