Stampin’Up! Wonderful Wreath for the Holiday Catalog Open House!

Stampin’Up! Wonderful Wreath for the Holiday Catalog Open House!

Good morning and happy Tuesday! Just a quick post this morning. I just returned home yesterday evening from helping Alisa with baby Oakley, and now I'm off again early this morning to run some errands and to keep an appointment! You know how things are when you've been gone for from home for nearly two weeks but your family is still there! Chaos! Loads of laundry, and stuff just out-of-place! Ohhhhhhh!

This is the card you will be making when you attend my Holiday Catalog Open House this coming Saturday using all new products from the Hoilday Catalog, including the new Wonderful Wreath stamp:

Wonderful wreath

Isn't this pretty? I received this in one of the swaps I sent to convention this year. I'm so glad I did!

Here's Oakley this past Sunday! The day was so comfortable outside, not at all hot & muggy. We couldn't resist hanging out on a quilt in the yard for awhile. Oakley needed a bit of sun to help with his jaundice (which we had a GREAT report about yesterday!), so he hung out with us too:

Oakley 7- 28-13

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by to check on me. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Tag It! Christmas Card!

Stampin’ Up! Tag It! Christmas Card!

Good Monday morning to you! I know you are going to find it hard to believe, but there is still NO baby Oakley yet! I can't stand it! But things are looking up! At her appointment last Wednesday, her doctor said if she didn't have him on her own by today they will put her in the hospital tonight and get things started! Whew! Hopefully that means we will have him here before Wednesday!

With that in mind, I'm going to get some posts ready to auto-post so you will have something to see for the next few days (or week) while I am busy being grammie!

Speaking of being grammie, this weekend I had the chance to do just that with Liam. Liam's mommy, Kimberly, came down with the nasty tummy bug I had last weekend, and so I brought him home to stay with me on Saturday through Sunday afternoon. He was here for my "SWOW/Christmas Card" Classes, and charmed everyone, to say the least! Liam has always been my little buddy, I am looking forward to spending more time with him starting in August when his mommy goes back to work teaching school!

Today's card is one of the Christmas cards we made Saturday. This one uses the Tag It! Ronald McDonald House Charity set. I always make sure I purchase and use the set Stampin' Up! creates for this purpose each year because Stampin' Up! donates $3 from the sale of each set to the RMDH Charity. We have friends who lived at the Ronald McDonald House in St Louis when their little girl was born extremely prematurely, so this charity is  near and dear to my heart!

Tag it 1

Early Espresso, Real Red, Baked Brown Sugar, and Very Vanilla.

Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Folder, Chalk Talk Framelits.

Real Red, Early Espresso, Baked Brown Sugar Stampin' Write Markers.

Basic Jewel Rhinestones and Tea Lace Doily.

Tag it 2

Inside a verse from More Merry Messages and snowflake-y stamp from A Round Array!

Tag it 6

We cut the Tea Lace Doily in to four pieces, then pleat/gathered each piece as shown and attached to the back of the focal image with a Glue Dot and SNAIL adhesive.

Tag it 7
Did you know the Tea Lace Do
ilies, while the catalog says they are white, are actually an off-white color now? It's true! They are perfect for a homespun-looking card like this one!

Well, that's all for today! I hope to have baby Oakley news for you soon!

Until tomorrow, which I hope is Oakley's birth-day, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’Up! Simply Sketched Goes Christmas!

Stampin’Up! Simply Sketched Goes Christmas!

Good Morning! It's Monday! Hope you had a fun weekend and are ready for the new week! I've a lot to look forward to this week; VBS crafts tonight through Thursday evening, prepping for my SWOW/Christmas Card Class this coming weekend, prepping for the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City next week, and my new grandson, Oakley, coming sometime soon! Whew!

Today I have a couple of cards I created for my Christmas Card Class. Both are made with the Simply Sketched Hostess set, so only one of them will make the cut. I can't decide which one I like the best!

First, the predominately Very Vanilla version:

Very Vanilla Simply Sketched 1

Second, the Always Artichoke one:

Always Artichoke Simply Sketched 1

Both cards are Gold heat embossed, have Red Glimmer paper layers, and Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details accents. I've used opposite sides of the new Beautifully Baroque Textured Impressions Folder, and a cut in half piece of Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Seam Binding to add a tiny bow for the Very Vanilla version and a full piece of Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding wrapped and tied in a bow around the Always Artichoke one. Both have a greeting from More Merry Messages (on the Holiday Carryover List).

What do you think? I really can't decide!

That's all for now. Thanks so much for stopping by today. Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Soiree!

Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Soiree!

Good morning! I know it's early July, but I can't resist showing you one of the cards for my Christmas Card Class/Club next week! It's a CASE of a card by Nancy Leedy using the Snowflake Soiree and More Merry Messages stamp sets. Both sets are not shown in the catalog but are available on the Carryover List!
Snowflakes 1
The card base and third layer is Pool Party, and the ink colors are Cherry Cobbler, Pool Party, and Versamark! All the "bling" of this card is from the Silver Embossing Powder, Silver Glimmer Paper layer, and Basic Jewel Rhinestones! I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement of the "Christmas Blessings" greeting.

The stamping technique is Triple Time Stamping, a technique that looks complicated, but is actually VERY EASY and FUN!

Snowflakes 2

Inside is another phrase from More Merry Messages, and the same stamps and inks!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I will be back tomorrow! Until then, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Carryover List!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Carryover List!

Every year when I first get my hands on the new catalog, the section I turn to first is the Holiday Stamps. However, when you get your new catalog this year, you will notice that the Holiday section is missing. In keeping with their commitment to having the Annual Catalog contain core products which can be used year-round, this year Stampin' Up! has NO HOLIDAY STAMPS in the new Annual Catalog! Moving forward, holiday stamps and accessories will be found in the Holiday and Occasions seasonal catalogs exclusively.

That said, this year Stampin' Up! has released a Carryover List of stamps from the retiring catalog that you will be able to order but will not be shown in the catalog.

Here is this list for you to download and print:

Download Christmas Carryover Stamp Sets 2013

But one stamp set I want to bring to your attention today is the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set:

Holiday ornaments

Why should we care about a Christmas stamp set in May? Because although you will be able to order this set through the coming holiday season, the MATCHING HOLIDAY ORNAMENT FRAMELIT DIES WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE!!!!!

127816L

Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies #127816
Price: $24.95

Just thought you ought to know this, in case you were thinking you could wait to order these at my Christmas in July event or later this year. If you want them, you NEED to order them NOW!!!!!!

Well, I'm still coughing my head off today, so I'm going to take myself to a walk-in clinic and see if they agree with my self-diagnosis of a sinus infection. I have too much to do this next week: two workshops, a
"Summber Bash" to prep my house and yard for my kids to host, and my New Catalog BOGO Open House, to mess around with this any longer. Wish me luck!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
