Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Kisses Sending Smiles!

Hey there! Today I have another Butterfly Kisses card to share, this time with the Sending Smiles stamp set!

For this card I started with a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" card base, scored & folded at 4 1/4" and turned to a landscape presentation:

After adding a 4" x 5 1/4" layer of Fresh Freesia I cut five strips of Butterfly Kisses 6 x 6 Designer paper, all 7/8" x 3 3/4". I adhered them to a Basic White 3 3/4" x 5" layer, then ran it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Stitched Greenery Die.

After adhering the Stitched Greenery-embossed layers to the Fresh Freesia layer, I added a 5 1/4" piece of White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon with liquid glue, then added the Calypso Coral-stamped-on-Basic-White "Sending", cut with a Sending Die, with slivers of dimensionals.

I stamped another Sending Smiles phrase, "a card to say hello" with Calypso Coral ink on Basic White, the cut with the smaller of the two greeting dies from the Sending Dies pack. I finished off the front with a few Iridescent Rhinestones, which are my favorite embellishment right now!

Inside I added a layer of Fresh Freesia, then added a 3/4" strip of coordinating Butterfly Kisses Designer paper to the right side of the stamped "smiles across the miles" before cutting with one of the Scalloped Contours Dies.

I added coordinating Butterfly Kisses Designer to the envelope flap, and stamped "love & big hugs" on the envelope front.

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Cherries, I CASED Myself!

Hey there! Today's project is a CASE of a card I created a few weeks ago with the Sweetest Cherries stamp set and Design a Daydream Host Designer Paper. I was planning to cut M & T packets for the original card when I discovered I had used up all of the sheets with the Garden Green print, so I chose a different print from the pack featuring Mint Macaron. Since the color and the print is different I decided I needed to make a whole new card:

I still cut the focal image layer with a Scalloped Contours die, and stamped the cherries with Sweet Sorbet ink. I still used Early Espresso for the stems, but stamped the leaves with Mint Macaron instead of Garden Green. I didn't have enough of the Sweet Sorbet dots from the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots pack for my M & T packets, so I used a Dark Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Blends to color a white dot from the Classic Matte Dots pack to match!

I heat embossed "Sweet" from Sweetest Cherries on Mint Macaron, then cut with a Stylish Shapes die.

Inside I stamped "birthday wishes" from Sweetest Cherries with Mint Macaron ink, and added a single cherry at the bottom of the sentiment layer.

I stamped "friend", also from Sweetest Cherries, on the envelope flap with Mint Macaron ink.

Stampin’ Up! Sweetest Cherries, I CASED Myself!

I heat embossed "Sweet" from Sweetest Cherries on Mint Macaron, then cut with a Stylish Shapes die.

Inside I stamped "birthday wishes" from Sweetest Cherries with Mint Macaron ink, and added a single cherry at the bottom of the sentiment layer.

I stamped "friend", also from Sweetest Cherries, on the envelope flap with Mint Macaron ink.

Stampin’ Up! Artistically Inked Happiness Abounds!

Hey there! Seems like I am on a birthday card-making roll right now. I must admit, birthday cards, after Christmas cards, are my favorite cards to make! Today's card is a combination of the Happiness Abounds bundle of stamps and dies with another piece of Abstract Beauty 4 x 6 Specialty Designer Paper and the Artistically Inked stamp set.

I was thinking about how I wished the Happiness Abounds stamp set had some stamps to fill in the blossom outlines with color and realized I might be able to use the watercolorish images from Artistically Inked. I stamped the large bloom first with the largest image in Artistically Inked with stamped-off Orchid Oasis, then stamped the Happiness Abounds outline bloom with Starry Sky. After I cut it out with the Blossoming Happiness die it was perfect! I stamped the smaller blooms with the smaller Artistically Inked image and stamped-off Highland Heather, then stamped over it with the Happiness Abounds outline using Gorgeous Grape. I cut both of them with the coordinating Blossoming Happiness die. I added an Iridescent Rhinestone to the center of the largest bloom and Clear Wink of Stella to all. Before I adhered to the card I added some texture with the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder.

I stamped "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from Artistically Inked with Starry Sky ink directly on a piece of Abstract Beauty Specialty Paper before embossing with the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder. I added a couple more Iridescent Rhinestone for more sparkle.

After adhering the stamped/embossed layer to the card front I wrapped White 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon around both front layers, tying in a pretty knot.

Inside I stamped two phrases from Happiness Abounds directly on the Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Paper, as well as another large bloom with Orchid Oasis and Starry Sky ink.

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Beauty Abounds!

Hey there! My Memorial Day weekend was such a whirlwind of activities that I had absolutely no time to stamp! I finally got a few things caught up yesterday (laundry was a biggie) and was able to create this card with the Happiness Abounds Bundle of stamps and dies and Abstract Beauty 4" x 6" Designer Paper. The Abstract Beauty paper is on the Last Chance Retiring List and is discounted 50% ($7.50 instead of $15), so I wanted to play with another one of the prints from the pack before it goes away!

By the time I finished the card the light was fading, but I think the card still shows up quite prettily. I took my colors from the Abstract Beauty print: Balmy Blue, Soft Succulent, and Basic White.

I stamped the roses on Basic White with Balmy Blue. I stamped the top rose on a piece of post-it-note, then cut it out to create a mask before stamping the lower rose. I then stamped the lower rose on another post-it-note to cut out to create another mask before stamping the leaves. I colored the roses with both Light & Dark Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends and the leaves with Light & Dark Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends. I added highlights of Clear Wink of Stella to the roses and colored the rest of the Basic White layer with a Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blend. I also cut the left side of the 2 1/2" x 3" layer with the "torn notebook" Blossoming Happiness die.

I added a few Iridescent Pearls when the card was assembled.

I stamped the Happiness Abounds greeting with Soft Succulent ink on a 3/8" strip of Soft Succulent, then used Paper Snips to cut the ends at an angle. I added the focal image layer and the greeting to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

I added texture and interest to the 1" x 5 1/4" strip of Balmy Blue with another of the Blossoming Happiness dies.

Inside I stamped another Happiness Abounds sentiment, another rose, and more leaves to coordinate with the front.

Stampin’ Up! Abstract Beauty Abounds!

I added a few Iridescent Pearls when the card was assembled.

I added texture and interest to the 1" x 5 1/4" strip of Balmy Blue with another of the Blossoming Happiness dies.

Inside I stamped another Happiness Abounds sentiment, another rose, and more leaves to coordinate with the front.

Stampin’ Up! Starry Sky Tulip Fields!

Hey there! Today's card is another one created with the Tulip Fields Bundle! I can't believe I've waited so long to play with this set of stamps and dies, they are so fun!

For this card I decided I wanted to give it a bit of a "tile" look, so I stamped the windmill on four Basic White squares, each 1 7/8" x 1 7/8", with Starry Sky ink.

After stamping, I then pressed the Versamark ink pad directly on each square, sprinkled all over with Clear Embossing Powder, then heated with my Heat Tool. After letting the clear embossing cool for a few seconds, I then repeated the process with more Versamark, clear powder, and heating. I did a third round of clear embossing before I decided to be done. The squares were kind of warped from the heat and the thick layer of embossing, but I put several dimensionals on the back of each one to make them lay flat.

One thing you have to be careful of when using the Heat Tool is to not scorch the paper, which is what happened on the square on the left. I decided to leave it so I could show you what the scorching looks like.

I stamped the birthday greeting from Charming Sentiments with Starry Sky ink on a scrap of Basic White, then cut with a Sentiment Silhouettes die. I finished off the front with a couple of Iridescent Rhinestones to flank the greeting.

Inside I stamped another Charming Sentiments phrase and the windmill one more time with Starry Sky ink.

Tulip Fields and Windmill Fields dies will be on the Last Chance Retiring List starting on June 1st! The Windmill Fields dies will be discounted 50%, which will make ordering the stamps and dies separately a lot cheaper than buying the bundle!

Stampin’ Up! Tulip Fields!

Hey there! Today I have another "scenery" card to share, created with the Tulips Fields stamp set and Windmill Fields dies. Both are on the Last Chance Retiring List for the January/June 2022 Mini Catalog. I started with a card base and envelope from the Heart & Home Memories & More Cards & Envelopes pack. These are also on the Last Chance Retiring List and are discounted 10%, so instead of $10 for the pack of 20 cards and coordinating envelopes, you will pay $9! I added a strip behind the focal image layer of Heart & Home Designer Paper, also on the Last Chance List and discounted 10%.

I created my scene with images all from the Tulip Fields stamp set, stamped with Night of Navy (windmill), stamped-off-once Night of Navy (clouds), Soft Succulent and Soft Suede (trees and tree trunks). I used Stampin' Write Markers directly on the tree image to get the two colors, then used the Soft Succulent marker to hand-draw the grass and tulip stems/leaves. I cut Polished Pink In Color Designer Paper for the tulip blooms with a Windmill Fields die, and the bicycle (also from the Windmill Fields dies) from Starry Sky In Color Designer Paper. I cut the windmill with a coordinating Windmill Fields die, then added it with dimensionals.

I felt that such a detailed scene with fine images needed a greeting that didn't overpower, so I found this small "happy birthday" in the Waves of Inspiration stamp set and stamped it with Night of Navy ink. I then cut it with a Waves die, added with Stampin' Seal, then cut out two individual tulips from the line of tulips cut with the Windmill Fields die to add at each end with a tiny dot of liquid glue.

I finished the inside with another piece of Heart & Home Designer Paper, then added the sentiment layer stamped with Tulip Fields images and a phrase from the Happiness Abounds stamp set.
