Stampin’ Up! Happiness Abounds Again!

Hey there! Today's card is a re-do of a card I shared with you a few weeks ago before the January/June Mini Catalog retired. I wanted to do this card at a stamp camp last month but the designer paper I had stamped on for the front and the inside was sold out and retired so I had to improvise. I'm very happy with what I came up with! View my original card HERE.

To mimic the look of the retired designer paper, I used a blending brush to gently swirl (by starting the swirling motion off the paper) Soft Succulent ink onto my Basic White layer. I did this for both the front and inside layers.

I stamped "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from Artistically Inked with Starry Sky ink BEFORE embossing the layer with the Painted Posies 3D embossing folder. Aren't those tiny butterflies cute? They are self-adhesive Brushed Brass Butterflies!

I used the watercolor-look images from Artistically Inked to fill in the detailed line blooms from Happiness Abounds. I stamped the large watercolor image with stamped-off Orchid Oasis, then stamped the detailed line bloom with Starry Sky. I stamped the smaller swirly image with stamped-off Highland Heather ink, then stamped the detailed bloom with Gorgeous Grape. I cut them all out with Blossoming Happiness dies.

I embossed the blooms with the same Painted Posies folder, added touches of Clear Wink of Stella, then adhered with dimensionals. I added the largest Iridescent Rhinestone from the pack to the center of the largest bloom.

I stamped two sentiments from Happiness Abounds on the inside with Starry Sky, and a repeat bloom in the lower left corner.

Stampin’ Up! Splendid Day Suite!

Hey there! A few weeks ago Stampin' Up! hosted an event for demonstrators called "Creativity Now". It was a stamping-only online event. Demonstrators were able to pre-order a suite of products, Splendid Day, to "stamp-along" with the presenters during the four hour event. A few of my registered team members gathered at my house to stamp-along with me and we had so much fun! I know many other demonstrators have already shared the projects, but I decided to share mine too just in case you missed the rest!

This first card was a fun and easy technique, creating a "watercolor" background with Light and Dark Pool Party and Fresh Freesia Stampin' Blends! We stamped the bees in Pool Party and Fresh Freesia directly on the "watercolor", then added it to a piece of the beautiful Splendid Day Designer Paper that had been adhered to the Soft Sea Foam card base. Soft Sea Foam die cuts, from the Splendid Stems Dies, were tucked behind the greeting banner stamped with Fresh Freesia ink. A few inches of Soft Sea Foam 3/8" Seam Binding Ribbon were folded in half to leave the ends peeking out from behind the greeting banner as well. This card will make a perfect wedding card!

We created this background with Calypso Coral card stock, embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder, then added white craft ink with a Blending Brush. We stamped some foliage on Soft Sea Foam and Petal Pink card stock with black ink, cut them out with Splendid Stems dies in addition to Basic White card stock with some of the same dies. I cut the designer paper with another Splendid Stems die and adhered to the card front with dimensionals. I then adhered the die cuts with liquid glue and glue dots. You could also use Adhesive Sheets to adhere. I wrapped the ribbon around the Calypso Coral layer to tie in a bow. I adhered the whole layer to the Basic White Thick card base with dimensionals. I stamped the greeting with black ink and hand-cut to add to the front of the designer paper "flower pot".

For this card we created our own background paper by heat embossing with white powder the irregular "dots" with white powder. We cut three of the same die cut from three different designs of the Splendid Day Specialty paper, then added with tiny dots of liquid glue. I decided to leave this card with no greeting so I could use it for any occasion!

For this final card we stamped the leaves on the Petal Pink card base with Petal Pink ink, then layered with the die-cut pieces, the die-cut greeting, and ribbon.

Stampin’ Up! Splendid Day Suite!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day July 3rd!

Hey there! It's Sunday again, which means it's time for Sunday Swap Day! yay!

I know everyone may be busy with Fourth of July gatherings, and we are getting a bit anxious about the arrival of Alisa's new baby boy, Atreyu, so I will just jump right in and start sharing the swaps I have for you today!

First, a pretty swap card created with the Happiness Abounds Bundle and the Hues of Happiness Designer Paper. The Blossoming Happiness dies in the bundle cut out the blooms in some of the designer paper sheets!

The inside greeting is also from the Happiness Abounds set. This swap has no creator name.

Shelly Gruber used the Potted Geraniums Bundle with Deckled Rectangle Dies and Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper:

I love how the Geranium Dies allow layering that creates depth!

The inside sentiment is from Potted Geraniums. I love the look that the Deckled Rectangle Die gives to this layer!

Barbara Dykhouse also used the Potted Geraniums Bundle. She used the Dots & Spots Die to cut the Basic Black background for a striking contrast to the Sweet Sorbet geranium blooms!

Soooo pretty!

Linda Cullen used the Treasured Kindness stamp set (which has no coordinating dies, gasp!) with Artisan Additions Dies, Deckled Rectangle Dies, Design a Daydream Host Designer Paper, Label Me Fancy Punch, and Brushed Metallic Dots.

She used one of the Artisan Additions Dies to cut the design on the card front.

Another swap from Barb Dykhouse, this time with the Wisteria Wishes Bundle, Deckled Rectangles, and Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder:

Such a pretty addition to the inside of the card!

Kathy Morgan also used the Wisteria Wishes Bundle with the Split Card Textures Dies. I don't have these dies, but I think they will be on my next order!

This last swap was created with a combination of Wisteria Wishes and Eden Dies. Rhonda Bassler used a striking color combo of Orchid Oasis and Parakeet Party for her side-easel card.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day June 19th, Wisteria Wishes!

Hey there! It's time for Sunday Swap Day! yay! We are gathering today for Father's Day. Hope you have your lovely day with the Dads in your life!

Today I have a set of swaps to share with you all created with the Wisteria Wishes Bundle!

First, Dena Rekow used Polished Pink and Melon Mambo with the Wisteria Wishes stamp set. She stamped the stems in Pear Pizzazz, then used a Blending Brush to add shading in the corner.

She stamped the background of the blooms with the Polished Pink, then stamped over it with the accent stamp and Melon Mambo ink. She also added a few Brushed Brass Butterflies, so cute!

Next, Lee Ann Greff used the Wisteria Wishes stamp set with the Stitched Greenery Die, 2022-2024 In Color Designer Series Paper, Cup of Tea Bundle, and Orchid Oasis 1/8" Woven Metallic Ribbon for her swap.

Beth Robinson used the Wisteria Wishes Bundle of stamps and dies with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder and Pastel Pearls.

This little phrase is found in the Wisteria Wishes stamp set.

Finally, Daveda Leppke used Highland Heather card stock and ink pad with Soft Succulent ink for her pretty swap.
