Stampin’ Up! Pop-Up Whale Done!
Hey there! Today I have my final card created with the Whale Done stamp set and Whale Builder Punch! Although more time consuming to make, this one is probably my favorite!
For this one I used Pool Party for my card base, 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". I embossed a 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White with the Seashells 3D embossing folder, then softly added Pool Party ink to the raised images with a Blending Brush.
I stamped the greeting from Happiest of Birthdays with Bermuda Bay ink, cut with a Tasteful Labels die, then stamped the seaweed to match the hand-cut Granny Apple Green seaweed I adhered to the card front with liquid glue. I added a few Coastal Cabana Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins for a bit of sparkle.
When you open the card two Pool Party whales pop up! I adhered them to 1/2" wide pieces of window sheet (clear acetate) that I sandwiched between two pieces of Pool Party card stock, 1" x 4", scored at 1/2". I adhered the window sheet strips with Tear & Tape adhesive, then adhered the remaining edges over the inside fold the the card with liquid glue.
I stamped the sentiment from Happiest of Birthdays with Bermuda Bay ink on a Pool Party piece of Simply Marbleous Sale-a-bration paper, then added a seahorse with Bermuda Bay ink and seaweed and fish with Granny Apple Green. The fish and seahorse are found in the Whale Done set.
With the Whale Builder Punch I was able to add a whale to both sides of the window sheet strip, and was even able to coordinate the fins!
I used my Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink around the sides of the whales to give them some depth.
I finished the remaining inside layer with another piece of Pool Party Simply Marbleous paper and Whale done images.
