Stampin’ Up! Buffalo Check Banner for Ivory!

Stampin’ Up! Buffalo Check Banner for Ivory!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing the banner I created for Ivory's birthday party decorations. I failed to take a picture of it hanging at the party, but I have some good close-ups of some of the pennants, so you will just have to use your imagination for the rest!

I used the same color combo of Purple Posy, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Whisper White that I used for her birthday card I shared with you yesterday. Each pennant is 6 1/8" wide at the top  I made my own pattern and then traced it cross-wise onto the Gorgeous Grape card stock. After cutting along the lines with my paper trimmer, I found I could get two pennants from an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of card stock. I used my stapler to adhere the fold over the Baker's Twine I used to pull the pennant together and for hanging.

Stampin_up_buffalo_check_birthday_banner_carolpaynestamps8

I stamped Whisper White with the Buffalo Check background and Highland Heather ink, then cut with one of the Celebration Labels Dies from the Holiday Catalog. I used the Playful Alphabet for her name and both Daisy Punches for the flowers.  I wanted to distract from the staples along the top of each pennant, so I cut Whisper White strips with one of the Ornate Borders dies and added with liquid glue!

Stampin_up_buffalo_check_birthday_banner_carolpaynestamps1

Each daisy has a Buffalo Check heart punched from the leftovers of the Celebration Labels using the Dog Builder Punch!

Stampin_up_buffalo_check_birthday_banner_carolpaynestamps7

I do wish I had taken a picture of it all hanging together, but it's hard to photograph something that long very well! I hope you have enjoyed the close-ups of the pennants! lol!

Stampin’ Up! Pleased As Punch!

Stampin’ Up! Pleased As Punch!

Hey there! While poking around in my stash, I found a few mini composition books and was inspired to embellish them with the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper.  After I covered the book with the soft Blushing Bride gingham print from the Pleased as Punch pack, I decided to create a card to match!

Stampin_up_pleased_as_punch_carolpaynestamps1

Pleased as Punch Designer Paper:

Stampin_up_pleased_as_punch_designer_carolpaynestamps

The images on the Pleased As Punch Designer are sized perfectly to be punched with the Tulip Builder Punch,(the punched I used on today's projects) Umbrella Builder Punch, Heart Punch Pack, and the Sale-a-bration Small Bloom Punch!

Stampin_up_pleased_as_punch_book_carolpaynestamps4

I used Basic Black card stock for my card base to make a card that looked like the notebook. I added a Pearlized Doily behind the punched and popped-up tulips, as well as a bow tied from Gorgeous Grape 1/4" Mini Striped Ribbon!

Stampin_up_pleased_as_punch_card_carolpaynestamps1

Inside I used a sentiment from Thanks For The Laughs, found on page 11 of the Spring Mini!

Stampin’ Up! Tulip Builder Basket!

Stampin’ Up! Tulip Builder Basket!

Hey there! Today's project is the one I offered at my church Girls' Craft Day. Ages ranged from 2nd grade to high school, so I needed an easy, fun, and practical project. This Tulip Builder Basket by  Twila Davis was perfect!

Aren't these little tulip baskets just the cutest?! I'm posting my version of Twila's project with her permission and providing  a link to her blog post.

Stampin_up_tulip_builder_basket_carolpaynestamps1

The girls had two greeting choices: "HAPPY SPRING", selectively inked from the Timeless Tulips phrase "HAPPY EASTER, HAPPY SPRING, happy, happy everything", and "happy mother's day" from Itty Bitty Greetings. Most of the girls chose "happy mother's day" and were glad to have their mom's gift ready ahead of time, as long as they could restrain themselves from eating the chocolate before Mother's Day! lol! One girl decided to eat the chocolate and replace it with Reeses! lol!

Stampin_up_tulip_builder_basket_carolpaynestamps2

Of course, the basket included designer paper-wrapped chocolate!

Stampin’ Up! Heart Punches Wreath!

Stampin’ Up! Heart Punches Wreath!

Hey there! Happy Valentine's Day!  Today's project is a shiny Valentine wreath from the dollar store I embellished with pictures of my favorite people!! I printed the pictures at home, so they aren't great quality, but after punching with the Heart Punches from the Spring Mini catalog and mounting on Heart Doilies, also from the Spring Mini, I LOVE it! Here's my entire Payne Clan!

Stampin_up_heart_punches_carolpaynestamps1

The prep and assembly was  simple! After printing the pics on copy paper, I punched them with the smooth Heart Punch, layered onto a white heart punched with the scalloped Heart Punch, then on a Heart Doily. I started to adhere to the wreath with dimensionals, but discovered they fall off after the wreath is hung up, so I used hot glue instead.

Left to right: my oldest daughter, Jessica, and her husband, Johnny, me and my hubby, Mark, my youngest daughter, Alisa, and her husband, Cody.

Stampin_up_heart_punches_carolpaynestamps2

Descending from Jessica's left: Jessica's children, Maddie Kate, Ava, Cohen, and Jaxon

Below Jaxon: my middle daughter, Kimberly and her husband, Tony, then their children: Liam, Darcy, and . . .

Stampin_up_heart_punches_carolpaynestamps4

The newest member of the Payne Clan, Fiona Everly!

Below Alisa & Cody, their children Oakley, Lando, Ivory, and Cyndal. We'll add another baby girl to this family in May!

Stampin_up_heart_punches_carolpaynestamps5

Last but definitely not least: top right, my middle son Logan and his new bride, Faith, in the middle my youngest son, Benjamin, and bottom left, my oldest son, Troy, and his wife of almost a year, Grace!

Stampin’ Up! Glimmer, Shimmer, & Shine!

Stampin’ Up! Glimmer, Shimmer, & Shine!

Hey there! Whenever I think  of  "glimmer, shimmer & shine", Christmas ornaments come to mind!

1797524_10152216933805070_1250170996_n

For my take on the "glimmer, shimmer, & shine" theme, I created ornaments with the Snow Globe Scenes dies.

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps1

After cutting the Mossy Meadow trees with a Snow Globe Scenes die, I stamped with a Tiny Keepsakes image (retiring) and Mossy Meadow ink. After cutting the deer (also a Snow Globe Scenes die) from Gold Glimmer, I adhered both to the Mercury Glass Acetate circle with LOTS of  Mini Glue Dots.

I rolled the acetate into a scroll, inserted through the opening, and it popped back into shape as soon as it was inside! I punched a hole in the top of the acetate to add a gold string before I inserted into the ornament. so I could keep the circle floating inside. I sprinkled in some sparkly "snow" and added a few punched sprigs of Mossy Meadow and Gold Foil to finish it off.

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps2

I computer generated the greeting, punched with Spring Mini sneak peek Label Me Lovely punch, then sponged with Mossy Meadow ink.

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps3

My second creation is all card stock, so it was too stiff to roll up, but I love it too!

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps5

I stamped the Very Vanilla circle with the Buffalo Check background using Cherry Cobbler ink before adhering the scene with liquid glue. Crumb Cake sponging gives it a vintage look.

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps6

I added Jingle Bells!

Stampin_up_still_scenes_ornament_carolpaynestamps7

I punched the greeting with another Spring Mini sneak peek, the Label Me Fancy punch!
