Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there stampers! Today is Sunday, which means it's time for Sunday Swap Day. Before I leave for Sunday School I have a few to share with you! yay!

First, Jenna Raby combined Custom Tee with Tie Dyed for her retro "happy stamper" card!

Next, this Beautiful You swap has no creator name attached, but I love how they added more water to the puddle for the girl to enjoy dancing in the rain!

The inside sentiment is also from Beautiful You!

Finally, Amy Combs water colored the background on Watercolor Paper with Sweet Sugarplum for her Beautiful You creation.

The dancing girl does seem to be a favorite. I've seen lots and lots of cards created with her!

Stampin’Up! Retiring Flower Fancy Continued!

Stampin’Up! Retiring Flower Fancy Continued!

Happy Friday to you all! The watercoloring class this Saturday and next Monday is going to be so much fun! We will be learning 7 different ways to watercolor using the Watercolor Wonder Crayons! Once again, we will be using the retiring "Flower Fancy" and "Sincere Salutations" stamp sets!

For this first sample we will be coloring the crayon directly onto the stamp, then lightly spritzing it with water before stamping onto the cardstock:

The same technique was used on the inside, but I must have spritzed more heavily because the color was much more "watery" here! This phrase from "Full of Life" coordinates beautifully with the "Thanks so much" on the front!

Card 3 two
©Stampin'Up!™1999-2012

These last two samples are stamped on Watercolor Paper, which gives them a completely different look than on Whisper White!

Lastly, this sample uses the "Salted Background" technique! Unfortunately, I was too impatient to allow the salt to dissolve completely as the piece air-dried, so I sped up the process with my heat tool and blew all the salt away!

That's all for today! I will be back tomorrow with another version of the "get well" mug!

Until then, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

Happy Saturday!

Hope you have some fun things planned for today, but even if you don't, perhaps I will give you some stamping inspiration with this installment of beautiful swap cards!

Kathy Johnson chose "Peace Within" from page 64 of the Big Catalog for her spring-y card. Watercoloring is not my strong suit, but she nailed it on this one! I love her addition of the tiny "Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack" flower and pearl to accent the greeting!

Kathy Morgan combined "Easter Blossoms" from the Occasions Mini with a Window Sheet, Black Staz-on ink, reinker, and Crystal Effects for this gorgeous card. I love the way she added the Basic Jewesl Rhinestones to the lower right side for just the right amount of "bling"!

Katy Simecka went traditional Easter with her choice of Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White! She used the "Easter Blossoms" Occasions Mini set and stamped the eggs in Craft ink before sprinkling Clear Embossing Powder and heating with the Heat Tool!

If all goes well with getting my taxes done, (insert non-smiley face here!) I just MIGHT be back tomorrow (Sunday!) with a post! Until next time, have a "Stampingrox!" day!
