Stampin’ Up! Crystal Effects Pansies!

Stampin’ Up! Crystal Effects Pansies!

Hey there! It's Tuesday but it feels like a Monday, doesn't it?

Just a few more days before the new Stampin' Up! catalog kicks in. If you want to receive a new catalog from me but haven't ordered from me before, just contact me by email: carol@carolpaynestamps.com. Include your email and snail mail address. I will send you a Paypal invoice for the Priority Postage ($5.60). You don't have to have a Paypal account to pay from a Paypal invoice) After I receive payment I will put your catalog in the mail and you will have it within 2-3 business days, and I will also include a coupon for $6 off your first order!

While playing with ideas for custom embellishments I created this fun card:

Stampin_up_crystal_effects_pansies_1
Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper, Midnight Muse and Coastal Cabana cardstock all punched with the Pansy and Petite Petals Punches. Gumball Green leaves cut with the Secret Garden framelit (I'm really going to miss that die set, but I received the new Flower Fair Framelits while on the cruise so they will help me feel better! lol!)

The greeting is from Loving Thoughts,(which is retiring and sold out in clear-mount but still available in wood-mount)

After punching the flowers I adhered them to glue dot packaging strips with the glue dots still attached. The flowers would then be ready to attach after the Crystal Effects dried.

I covered each flower with a thin layer (or sometimes not so thin!) of Crystal Effects, then added pearls for my centers. I allowed them to lay flat overnight to dry completely before transferring to my project.

A background with Off the Grid (retired & sold out) and greeting from Delightful Dozen (also retired & sold out).

That's all for now. To order the Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper, Secret Garden Framelits, Loving Thoughts in wood-mount, and Midnight Muse ink before they are  gone on June 1st click HERE to shop in my Online Store or click on any of the images below in the supply list.

Stampin’Up! Punch Miss Lady!

Stampin’Up! Punch Miss Lady!

Before I stopped all stampin' to concentrate of Christmas preparations I was inspired by Jackie Topa to create this little "lady" with  my punches:
Lady 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

Isn't she just adorable? I wish she really lived at my house, but unfortunately the only "pets" my husband will permit in the house are our children and grandchildren! lol!

I used stamps and phrases from "Animal Talk":

Lady 2

"Miss Lady" will be part of my Punch/Technique Class on Saturday, January 5th. I am especially fond of my use of one of the new Elements Cute Clips from the upcoming Occasions Catalog beginning on January 3rd:

I attached it to the Small Oval-punched word with a thin line of Crystal Effects!

Until next time, have a Stampingrox! day!

Button Buddies Class Card #1 & #2!

Button Buddies Class Card #1 & #2!

Ever since the current catalog came out last July, I have been loving Button Buddies. However, for some unknown reason I have stamped with it very little, so I decided that with the free Brights Buttons you can choose from the Sale-a-bration Mini, I should have a class! Here's the first two of the six cards we will be making next Saturday here at my house!

It's difficult to see in the picture, but the cherries have Crystal Effects on them!

I really love the embossed strips on this one for the background:

Happy Saturday!

Hope you have some fun things planned for today, but even if you don't, perhaps I will give you some stamping inspiration with this installment of beautiful swap cards!

Kathy Johnson chose "Peace Within" from page 64 of the Big Catalog for her spring-y card. Watercoloring is not my strong suit, but she nailed it on this one! I love her addition of the tiny "Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack" flower and pearl to accent the greeting!

Kathy Morgan combined "Easter Blossoms" from the Occasions Mini with a Window Sheet, Black Staz-on ink, reinker, and Crystal Effects for this gorgeous card. I love the way she added the Basic Jewesl Rhinestones to the lower right side for just the right amount of "bling"!

Katy Simecka went traditional Easter with her choice of Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Pear Pizzazz and Whisper White! She used the "Easter Blossoms" Occasions Mini set and stamped the eggs in Craft ink before sprinkling Clear Embossing Powder and heating with the Heat Tool!

If all goes well with getting my taxes done, (insert non-smiley face here!) I just MIGHT be back tomorrow (Sunday!) with a post! Until next time, have a "Stampingrox!" day!

The Very Versatile Petal Cone Die!

The Very Versatile Petal Cone Die!

Last week I showed you the Easter Carrot Box we made at our "Yes, Ma'am's!" downline meeting with the Occasions Mini Petal Cone Die, so I thought today would be a good day to start showing you some of the other projects that can be made with this VERY versatile die!

First, here's a Petal Cone "cone basket" similar to how it is shown on page 15 of the Occasions Mini. I have CASED this project from somewhere, but have not kept track of who's original idea most of these were from, so if this is your's, please let me know so I can give you credit!

Next is a very vintage-y heart shaped basket. I also see Thanksgiving possibilities for this shape! (doesn't this one remind you of a turkey?) I used the "Vintage Wallpaper" Textured Impressions Folder on this one before assembling the box.

Here's a Petal Cone Ice Cream Cone! I used the sprinkles from the "Build a Cupcake" punch and covered them with Crystal Effects to give them the chocolatey yumminess look! The waffle look of the cone was achieved with the "Perfect Details" Texturz Plate. The edge of the ice cream scoop is from the "Tasteful Trim" Bigz XL Die.

Here's the inside. The "spoil yourself today" is from awesome new birthday set, "Bring on the Cake" in the Occasions Mini.
