I've been working on several Valentine projects this week, but I took the time today to get the Pop-Up Card Tutorial together, and here it is for you to download:

Download Birthday Pop-up Card

Please let me know if you have any questions, I would love your feedback and would love for those of you who make this card from my tutorial instructions to comment and put a link to a picture of your creation in the comment section.

In honor of all the sweet attention this card has received, I have decided to extend my free Birthday Pop-Up Card offer through Sunday, February 5th! So far I have received NINE positive comments ( a REAL RECORD for my blog!) On Monday, February 6th I will draw names from all the comments and will give away a total of SIX more free Pop-Up Birthday cards! (Don't worry, Ruth, as the first to comment, you will get your card, I am giving away six MORE cards for a total of 7!)

If you need to purchase Stampin' Up! supplies to make this card or for any other stamping project you may have on your "to do" list, AND do not have a relationship with a local Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, you can always go to my Stampin'Up! website to order:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

I do not want to take business away from another demonstrator, so please order from your Demo if you have one!

See you tomorrow for another "Stampingrox!" Day!

Valentine Quick Card Box & Cards!

Valentine Quick Card Box & Cards!

Well, I didn't get back yesterday afternoon to show you the Valentine Box & Cards as I was inspired to work on school-exchange Valentines for my grandchildren's approval (which I will share another day), but here's the box & cards now:

Valentine quick box 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2012

I used the same box design as the one I posted yesterday for the Mixed Bunch Box & Cards, but used Cherry Cobbler Textured Cardstock, Twitterpated Designer Paper, and the "P.S. I Love You" stamp set.

I cut out my valentine hearts with the Heart Framelits, using the next to largest heart for the Whisper White layer. Even though there are 6 different sizes of hearts in this set, wouldn't you know the size I needed for the Cherry Cobbler matting layer didn't exist, UNTIL I realized I could trace around the outside of the framelit and then cut out the slightly larger heart mat with my Paper Snips! Voila! This discovery (although I'm sure I'm not the first), now expands the Heart Framelits from 6 sizes to 11! WOW! A great value for $26.95 price for the framelits!

I also added some cool detailing to each heart, one of the "Trinket Hearts", available in the Occasions Mini Catalog! I attached each one to the heart using my Paper Piercing Tool and a Silver Mini Brad!

Valentine box 3

Valentine quick box 4

Each heart has a phrase and image from "P.S. I Love You" and Riding Hood Red 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon. This final sample also has Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details added to the stamped hearts! Even though Cherry Cobbler is not Riding Hood Red, it coordinates beautifully together! That's Stampin' Up! for you, always providing the best in coordination!

See you tomorrow for the reveal of the samples in the running for my grandchildren's Valentines! Ever since Maddie Kate, now 10 1/2 and in 5th grade, was in Kindergarten I have made Valentines with her for her classmates at school. Last year Ava joined us in the valentine-making tradition, and this year Cohen has Valentine's to make for Tuesday school! Oh my, boy-valentines, which as you would imagine are VERY different from girl-valentines!

Until tomorrow, have a "Stampingrox!" Day!

I’m a day behind!

I’m a day behind!

Here it is Friday and I just realized that I didn't post yesterday! I'm sorry! Here's the next installment from my monthly swap! (and it's just about time to mail in the February swaps, so there will be more for you to see soon!)

Here's a beautifully elegant card using the Occasions Mini set, "Blessed Mother". The phrase, "you raise kindness to an art" is from "Vintage Vogue" on page 126 of the main catalog!

"Baby Blossoms" from the Occasions Mini was used for this card. The phrase, "with sympathy", is from "Teeny Tiny Wishes" on page 157 of the main catalog.

I've been dying to show you this gorgeous card using both the "Framed Tulips" and "Manhattan Flower" Textured Impressions Folders. "With love & caring" and the butterfly is from "Thanks for Caring" and the Springtime Vintage Designer Paper is all from the Occasions Mini!

That's all for today. I'm putting the finishing touches on my "Do you need a Valentine?" Class tonight and tomorrow, and then tomorrow night my "Yes, Ma'am!" Stampers, my downline, are comint to stamp! Sunday morning will find me in the church nursery, and then Sunday afternoon I will be working on my cards for this month's swap! Lots of fun coming up! (If only I didn't have to clean my house, but hey that's what those two tall boys who still hang around here, eat my groceries, and make dirty laundry are for, eh?)

Until next time, have a "Stampingrox!" day!
