Stampin’ Up! Bunnies Day!

Good morning! Did you have snow where you live yesterday! We did! Unbelievable for the last week of March! Not much accumulation, but it was slick enough during the afternoon that our evening church was cancelled!

Today I want to show you the bunny swaps I received and took pictures of at yesterday's Regional.

Stampin’ Up! Heart Box for “Hearts a Flutter” Class!

Happy Wednesday to you! I put a sneak peek of this project on my Facebook page yesterday, it's a cute little "Hershey's Heart Box" that we will be making at my "Hearts a Flutter" Mystery Hostess Class tomorrow. There's still room in either session, 1 p.m. or 6:30 p.m., so contact me to attend!

I found the directions for this box on Brenda Quintana's blog. She is the creator of some really awesome 3-D projects, including the "Kissmas Tree" we made back in December!

You will receive your own copy of the directions to make this box, along with directions for all three of the additional projects at the class tomorrow.

This box is ingenius but astonishingly easy!

It's Monday morning and I'm spending my day with Liam, by youngest grandson!

He's jumping and having a party in his excercizer this morning! He's had a bottle and a nap, several diaper changes and a jammie change, we've played on the piano play mat and in the excercizer, and now it's just about time for another bottle and maybe another nap!

While we wait for the next step in Liam's day, how about a card share?

This is another card I swapped at Leadership, using the same "Paper Quilting" technique as the Tea For Two Gatefold Card with the More Amore Specialty Designer Paper. The heart is cut out with one the the Heart Framelits, and embossed with the heart strip of the Adorning Accents Folders, and one of the new "Needlepoint Borders" folders and even recycled the negative part of the image on the inside like I did on yesterday's card:

The "Be My Valentine" is from the "Delightful Dozen" stamp set. The "Love You" is from the Holiday Catalog carryover set, "Seasonal Sayings", which will still be available until April 30th!

Stampin’ Up! Heart Framelit Puppy Dog!

It's the beginning of March, which means a new month for Punch and Technique Class! I've been working on the projects and have one for you today, an adorable puppy dog! I was inspired by Dawn Griffith's bear she had on her blog a couple of days ago, adding puppy ears, changing the slant of the cheeks, extending the tongue, and adding the texture with the Houndstooth Impressions Folder. This is a full card that folds up from thet top. We are cutting it by pulling the fold of the cardstock down from the point of the scalloped Heart Framelit. The Framelit can cut through two layers of cardstock at the same time, yay!

Valentine Quick Card Box & Cards!

Well, I didn't get back yesterday afternoon to show you the Valentine Box & Cards as I was inspired to work on school-exchange Valentines for my grandchildren's approval (which I will share another day), but here's the box & cards now:

I used the same box design as the one I posted yesterday for the Mixed Bunch Box & Cards, but used Cherry Cobbler Textured Cardstock, Twitterpated Designer Paper, and the "P.S. I Love You" stamp set.

I cut out my valentine hearts with the Heart Framelits, using the next to largest heart for the Whisper White layer. Even though there are 6 different sizes of hearts in this set, wouldn't you know the size I needed for the Cherry Cobbler matting layer didn't exist, UNTIL I realized I could trace around the outside of the framelit and then cut out the slightly larger heart mat with my Paper Snips! Voila! This discovery (although I'm sure I'm not the first), now expands the Heart Framelits from 6 sizes to 11! WOW! A great value for $26.95 price for the framelits!

I also added some cool detailing to each heart, one of the "Trinket Hearts", available in the Occasions Mini Catalog! I attached each one to the heart using my Paper Piercing Tool and a Silver Mini Brad!

Each heart has a phrase and image from "P.S. I Love You" and Riding Hood Red 3/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon. This final sample also has Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details added to the stamped hearts! Even though Cherry Cobbler is not Riding Hood Red, it coordinates beautifully together! That's Stampin' Up! for you, always providing the best in coordination!

See you tomorrow for the reveal of the samples in the running for my grandchildren's Valentines! Ever since Maddie Kate, now 10 1/2 and in 5th grade, was in Kindergarten I have made Valentines with her for her classmates at school. Last year Ava joined us in the valentine-making tradition, and this year Cohen has Valentine's to make for Tuesday school! Oh my, boy-valentines, which as you would imagine are VERY different from girl-valentines!
