That's all for now! Big family day today! We are celebrating my sweet hubby's birthday with all of our children and his mother at our house! I have a 5 lb. roast in the crockpot, a hashbrown casserole and cream-of-chicken-potatoes in the oven, and all the veggies ready to finish as soon as we get home from church. Each daughter is contributing something yummy, and there's a fresh gallon of vanilla ice cream in the freezer (my hubby LOVES ice cream!) It will be a day of grandbabies, fun, and family!

Stampin’ Up! Best of Love 25th Anniversary Collection!

Just a pause today to show you one of the projects we will be making at my "Best of Love" Stamp Class this weekend!

Starting with Stampin' Up! Notecards with Envelopes, a section of the bottom front and back was cut off with the Large Scallop Edgelit. The "Gentler Times" heart was stamped with Jet Black StazOn, then cut out with Paper Snips. This was layered onto a Pool Party heart cut with a Heart Framelit, then layered on a Basic Black heart of the same size, but cut in half and matted onto the back of the Pool Party heart with SNAIL.

Pool Party ribbon from the "Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack add a classy touch that is just the right scale for the notecard base. The "love" from "Best of Love" was stamped in Pool Party, and the finishing touches to the heart focal point are a piece of a "Tea Lace" Doily and a Silver Glimmer Paper -punched heart.

Inside the card we are using words from "Love & Laughter"!

Guess I'd better close for now. In case you didn't see it on Facebook, I experienced a "vitreous membrane detachment " in my left eye yesterday morning. Nothing made it happen, it's just something that can happen, especially in women of a "certain age" (cough) It's NOT a retina detachment, but it could still happen, so I have to monitor myself for the next four weeks. Also found out today that I have "narrow angle glaucoma", but am being referred to a specialist for laser surgery to help eye drainage. I can see ok, but do have some freaky large "floaters" showing up in my line of vision frequently. NOT FUN!

So I'm just going to wish you a Stampingrox! day and see you tomorrow!

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Verses! Fabulous & Free!

Good morning! Now that I have started going through my swap & display pictures from Leadership I'm finding some treasures!

Today I want to show you three display samples using the free with a $50 order set from the Sale-a-bration catalog, Vintage Verses!

This first one uses the Daffodil Delight Polka Dot Parade Designer Paper and the Label Framelits to create a "sun-ray" effect! Love it! How cool would it be to pair this design with the new single stamp, "Sunshine"?

This sample uses Daffodil Delight cardstock again, with Petite Curly Label (also free with a $50 order) punches to create the background interest. The greeting is cut out with a Window Frames Framelit, and the creator added a torn strip of Essentials Designer Fabric for even more texture!

Last but not least, a little touch of vintage whimsy to complement Vintage Verses! This card has Fan Fair Designer Paper , Victoria Crochet Trim, Very Vanilla 1/2' Seam Binding, Antique Brads, and a currently-retired-from the Holiday Catalog Designer Frame. I hope the Designer Frames return in the new catalog in June. I really wasn't done creating with them!

Well, that's all for now! We are off today to the Oral Surgeon for Ben, my youngest son, to have two EXTRA TEETH removed! How about that? One on the top left and one on the bottom right. We've know about them since 2010, but they just now are starting to make their presence "felt" to out they are coming today! Ben had his wisdom teeth removed in 2010 and was a champ through the whole thing, so we are anticipating a repeat outcome. We should be back home by noon!

Stampin’ Up! One Last Valentine For This Year!

Happy Valentine's Day! What are you doing for your sweetie today?

Depending on what my hubby's schedule dictates today, I hope to make him a yummy supper tonight, although I may have to make a grocery run so I have a few special things that are his favorites!

I found one more Valentine swap picture from Leadership that I wanted to share with you here:

This card combines a bunch of cool Occasions Catalog products and a technique that is hot right now in the blog world, Chalkboarding!

More Amore Designer Series Paper is the card base background with an Oval Accent Bigz Die Real Red flap on the right side. Hearts a Flutter heart stamps and Hearts a Flutter and Hearts Framelits cut everything out perfectly! All of the Basic Black hearts are treated with the Chalkboarding technique, with the largest heart stamped with the "You're in MY thoughts, YOU'RE in my heart" from Word Play.

The left side of the card is embellished with Pool Party Seam Binding tied in a loopy bow, with a Designer Builder Brad and Linen Thread accenting the center.

I will be featuring the Chalkboarding technique, but with a different card of course, in my March Punch/Technique Class, so check back with me after the two classes are over to see how it's done!

I'd better let you go for now. I also have to begin TAX PREPARATIONS today! Farmer's & Fishermen have to have their taxes submitted by the end of February, so not much time left!
