Stampin’ Up! Flower Patch Double Front Fold!

Hey there! I have a fresh Double Front Fold card for you today! We'll also make this card tomorrow and Friday at my "Blooms & Bliss" Birthday Card Class:

The main trick is in cutting the pieces, so here are the dimensions:

Island Indigo card base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4", cutting off two inches off the front flap.

Whisper White folded layer: 5 1/4" x 8 1/4", scored and folded at 4 1/8"

Blooms & Bliss Designer Paper to cover front of card flap: 2" x 5 1/2"

Sahara Sand: 3" x 3 1/2" – you need two

Whisper White; 2 3/4" x 3 1/4" – you need two

Silver Satin Ribbon: about 16"

Mint Macaron Sheer Linen Ribbon: about 4"

All of the images used on this card are from Flower Patch, and the front focal image layer is adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Single sequins were pulled from the Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim and adhered with a Fine Tip Glue Pen.

The middle layer focal image was achieved by using the masking technique.

All three Flower Patch sentiments work together perfectly for this three-layer card!

Stampin’ Up! Bunch of Blossoms in a Jar of Love!

Hey there! My "Blooming Birthday" card class is coming up this weekend! I fell in love with an adorable card by Dena Rekow. I changed a few things, such as stamping the blossoms with Rose Red ink:

I love everything about this card, which combines the Bunch of Blossoms Bundle with the Jar of Love Bundle! Punches and framelits DO work together!

Gradient layers of color were achieved by "stamping off", also known as "generation" stamping, on scrap paper. This was the first time I used Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim. It's soft, pliable, and ties a beautiful bow!

The greeting, stamped with Rose Red, is from Bunch of Blossoms

Stampin’ Up! An Emoji Birthday for Ava!

Hey there! Ava, my second oldest grandchild, turned 11 yesterday! Time flies whether you want it to or not!

We attended her birthday party, and since her theme was Emoji, I whipped up these quick and easy cards with a variety of my Big Shot dies:

As I did for Oakley and Liam's birthdays, I made 3" x 3" cards for Uncle Logan and Ben to tuck a little money in.

Here's how I made the "heart eyes" curved.

I laid the heart face-down on my Stampin' Pierce Mat, then used the Stylus from my Simply Scored to rub in a circular motion to shape it like a little bowl.

To help it keep it's curve, I adhered them with a snipped of a Stampin' Dimensional.

I sponged the embossing with White Craft ink, and cut the greeting with a Cupcake Cutouts Framelit from Melon Mambo card stock.

Stylized Birthday stamped in Melon Mambo completes the inside.

Ava was excited with the emoji cards!

Ava's big sister Maddie Kate baked and decorated the cake!

Stampin’ Up! Thoughtful Branches Reinker Wash!

Hey there! Hope you are enjoying these last few days of summer! September will be here all too soon!

Today's card is a CASE from Sara Douglass' Facebook Live video with Thoughtful Branches and the "Reinker Watercolor Wash" technique:

With this technique you brush reinker straight out of the bottle across Watercolor Paper using an AquaPainter and LOTS of water. I brushed on Daffodil Delight first, adding Tangerine Tango on top and Pear Pizzazz to the bottom.

An illusion of a white frame was achieved by masking the edges with washi tape before brushing on the reinker, then removing after the ink has dried.

Another piece of Watercolor Paper was washed with reinker, then stamped with the Thoughtful Branches leaf in Versamark and clear heat-embossed. After embossing the leaves were sponged with Soft Suede ink before being cut out with a Beautiful Branches framelit. The clear embossing allows the Watercolor Washed colors to show through!

A few more of the same cut out leaves were added to the inside.

The sentiment is also from Thoughtful Branches.

Stampin’ Up! Weather Together!

Hey there! We had thunderstorms here most of the morning yesterday, which made it a wonderfully dark and lazy day! I've been going flat out for the past couple of weeks, with Christmas in July and our family gathering for Liam's birthday, so by yesterday morning I was in need of a bit more rest, and I took it!

A few weeks ago I played with the Weather Together set, and today's card was the first one I created. This card of encouragement came together quickly using the stamps and matching (and bundled) framelits!

There's even a framelit to cut the umbrella handle. Don't you wish Stampin' Up! had framelits for all of their sets? I sure do!

Dapper Denim. Daffodil Delight, and Whisper White is a cheerful color combo! The background is 2016-2018 Envelope Paper in Dapper Denim.

The sentiment just fits in the Classic Label Punch.

I stamped the Kinda Eclectic sunburst over masked clouds to bring it all together.

Stampin’ Up! Moroccan Nights!

Hey there! I finally played with my Morroccan Nights to make this with the Faux Diamonds technique!

This card didn't end up looking anything like what I originally planned, but I like this better! I started stamping the medallion and lantern with Black StazOn ink on a white, sponging with Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, and Emerald Envy. I HATED it. I almost threw it in the trash, but decided to try the Faux Diamonds technique and it was saved!

Faux Diamonds Technique: Press a Versamark pad all over the panel. Cover with Heat & Stick Powder. Heat from the underside with a Heat Tool. Heat a fourth of the panel at a time, just until the powder melts. Cover with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. Tap off excess glitter. Heat glittered area again from underneath before moving to the next section to melt the powder. When entire panel is covered with glitter, give it a quick blast on top to heat-set.

I adhered to a Basic Black panel embossed with the Festive Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, then adhered to a Bermuda Bay panel with dimensionals. The greeting is from Best Birds.

I used the same sequence of layers inside, stamping with black ink.
