Stampin’ Up! Talented Trio for Ava!

Hey there! Last night was Ava's 10th birthday party! I took my camera, but the memory card was at home. sigh.

I may not have pictures, but I can share her card. If you follow my blog, you've seen the one-of-a-kind birthday cards I make for my family. It's my favorite thing to do, even better than Christmas cards!

I attended Ava's dance recital in May. It was a lovely performance. Inspired by her dancing talent, I used the Talented Trio set:

Color Me Irresistible Watermelon Wonder paper matched her dance costume perfectly!

Ava's hair is auburn, so using ink squeezed onto the lid of the inkpad, I started with a light layer of Cajun Craze with my Blender Pen then added light strokes of Chocolate Chip.

Her dress is paper-pieced from the Watermelon Wonder paper and the "dance ribbon" is custom-dyed 1/4" Whisper White Cotton Ribbon.

Ribbon dyeing technique: Smoosh ribbon into the Watermelon Wonder inkpad with a Stampin' Sponge. Blot with paper towel, let dry, then rinse under cold water to lighten the ink. Let dry. Use a Bone Folder to curl. Spray with hairspray and let dry.

Stampin’ Up! Awesomely Artistic Class Card Number Two!

Hey there! Today I have the second card for the August Online Class!

What's the Online Class? Every month I create three cards, using the same stamp set, birthday themed. Everyone placing an order of at least $35 (before shipping & tax) by the 20th of the month in my Online Store will receive 6 cards with envelopes, two of each of the three designs, and instructions for free!

For today's card I inked my clear acrylic block with three different inks; Pool Party, Island Indigo, and Night of Navy; spritzing with water before stamping over the image I clear heat embossed on Watercolor Paper:

It takes a while to dry, so I used my Heat Tool ti dry faster. The water dilutes and runs the ink together a bit. Cool! I added the gold embossed spatters after drying.

I punched the card fold with my 1/4" Circle Handheld Punch then wrapped the Whisper White 1/4" Cotton Ribbon around the card.

Inside I used an All Boxed Up sentiment again!

Stampin’ Up! No Bones About It, Liam is 3!

Hey there! A good time was had at Liam's 3rd birthday party last night! I have a few party pics to share, and then I'll share Liam's birthday card.

Liam had LOTS of help with his presents, and baby sister Darcy loved the balloon string! Hot Wheels track and Thomas are his favorites!

His favorite present, besides the Thomas hat, was a Thomas the Train whistle!

Lando hung out with PaPa and enjoyed a balloon string too!

DQ Ice Cream Cake!

The mommies and JLO (our family nickname for Jaxon, Liam, and Oakley) recreated the picture taken at Liam's first birthday party two years ago!

We always try to get a group photo of the Payne Clan cousins!

L to R: Maddie Kate (14), Ava Claire (will be 10 in two days), Cohen (7 1/2), Jaxon (3 1/2), Liam the Birthday Boy, Oakley (2), Lando (almost 7 months), and Darcy Anne (almost 6 months)

Here's Liam's "Magic Slider" card. This is a semi-CASE of one Stampin' Up! made for their Pinterest board HERE.

It's "magic" because the T-rex is just a skeleton until you pull up on the ribbon!

Creating this card was easy using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets Die and the Oval Collection Framelits.

Stampin’ Up! Awesomely Artistic for August Online Class!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing the first of three cards for the August Online Class.

This month is Awesomely Artistic. A Kraft cardstock base, cut with the Circle Card Thinlet Die is just the right tone to go with the Old Olive gingham plaid from Farmer's Market Designer Series Paper pack. Clear embossed florals on Very Vanilla "pop" when sponged with Old Olive ink, an "Emboss-Resist" technique!

I punched Kraft Corrugated paper with the flower from the Tree Builder Punch, adhered with a glue dot with looped Gold Metallic Thread behind and topped with a Pearl Basic Jewel.

Flip the card to the Petite Pairs sentiment, stamped in Blackberry Bliss and masked with a 1 1/4" Scallop Circle punched Post-It Note. I clear embossed the floral image over the mask and sponged Old Olive ink, then removed the mask.

Fully open shows a sentiment from All Boxed Up, another emboss-resist floral, and the dragonfly inked with Stampin' Write Markers.

Hey there. This is a late post, but my computer is sick (again!) I'm on a laptop that's super-duper slow. It also needed about 129 updates, which ended up TAKING. ALL. DAY.

This evening I have a few cards from the mail-in swap I participate in every month, all using the Awesomely Artistic set!

First, Ann Betty stamped the dragonfly and flowers from Awesomely Artistic on Very Vanilla before embossing with the Brick Wall folder and cutting with a Tags & Labels Framelit. She stamped the same flowers on the Sahara Sand, then colored with a Pear Pizzazz marker.

Next, Jackie Ordway stamped the "texture" stamp down the left side to give a fabric look. The "thanks" is from the Another Thank You set.

Finally, Laura Milligan used Bermuda Bay, Cucumber Crush, and Memento Tuxedo Black for her creation. Little snippets of White Organza and Bermuda Bay Sequins. OH. MY.
