Hey there! Last night was Ava's 10th birthday party! I took my camera, but the memory card was at home. sigh.

I may not have pictures, but I can share her card. If you follow my blog, you've seen the one-of-a-kind birthday cards I make for my family. It's my favorite thing to do, even better than Christmas cards!

I attended Ava's dance recital in May. It was a lovely performance. Inspired by her dancing talent, I used the Talented Trio set:

Color Me Irresistible Watermelon Wonder paper matched her dance costume perfectly!

 Ava's hair is auburn, so using ink squeezed onto the lid of the inkpad, I started with a light layer of Cajun Craze with my Blender Pen then added light strokes of Chocolate Chip.

Her dress is paper-pieced from the Watermelon Wonder paper and the "dance ribbon" is custom-dyed 1/4" Whisper White Cotton Ribbon.

Ribbon dyeing technique: Smoosh ribbon into the Watermelon Wonder inkpad with a Stampin' Sponge. Blot with paper towel, let dry, then rinse under cold water to lighten the ink. Let dry. Use a Bone Folder to curl. Spray with hairspray and let dry.
