Stampin’ Up! Sky Is the Limit!

Hey there! Christmas is only a week away! eeek! I'm not ready, (I know you are NOT shocked, lol!) but I'm working on it. My kids and grandkids all come to stay with us during Christmas, at least they are here for Christmas Eve night and Christmas morning, so I'm working on cleaning up those areas of "stuff" that accumulates during the year. I've heard of a non-clutter system called "one touch" that I'm thinking about trying, but you know, things all have to have a place of their own before you can do that!

Today's card is another one I created with the Sky Is The Limit Sale-a-bration set:

I started with a base of Early Espresso, then added layers of Soft Sky, Very Vanilla, and Going Places (coming on Jan. 5th in the Occasions Catalog!) Designer Series Paper. I embossed the Soft Sky and Going Places layers with the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions folder. I added a Silver Mini brad to the center of the propeller for more depth.

I punched the greeting from Sky Is the Limit with the Note Tag Punch, and wrapped a couple of lengths of Smoky Slate Baker's Twine around the layers. I added a single Silver Basic Button to finish it all off.

Inside is basic stamping with Early Espresso, Soft Sky, and Memento Tuxedo Black. I lined the envelope with Going Places Designer Paper too!

January 5th will be here before we know it! I can't wait!

Stampin’ Up! Going Global for a Birthday!

Hey there! Today I have another card I created using the Going Global/Going Places product suite, soon available in the Occasions 2016 Catalog on January 5th. I started with a Lost Lagoon card base, then added layers of Basic Black, Lost Lagoon, and Going Places Designer Series Paper:

After silver heat-embossing the Big Dipper image several times on the Lost Lagoon layer I sponged the edges with Lost Lagoon and lightly "pounced" the color on the layer with my Stampin' Sponge to add more depth.

I silver heat-embossed the compass image on Basic Black, punched with the 2 inch Circle Punch, then added shimmer with my new Clear Wink of Stella pen! I am so excited to share Wink of Stella with you, I want to use it on every card! There's also a Gold Wink of Stella! I LOVE it!

After silver heat-embossing the sentiment from Going Global on Basic Black I cut it out with the banner framelit included with the Large Numbers Framelits Dies, also coming on January 5th!

I finished off the inside with sentiments from Big News, an Annual Catalog set. I couldn't resist stamping the envelope flap with the Going Global globe stamp. This set is possibly my favorite manly set EVER!

Stampin’ Up! Something for Baby One More Time!

Hey there! Today's card I created to go with the twins baby shower gift I shared the invitation for HERE.I shared the Thank-you cards I made HERE. I stuck with the color combo of Very Vanilla, Tip Top Taupe, Soft Sky, and Watermelon Wonder. I used another design from Sweet Li'l Things Designer Paper to create the envelope with the Envelope Punch Board. I used Tip Top Taupe 1" Dotted Lace Trim for the closure:

The envelope opens to reveal the attached card. I used Something for Baby and a sentiment from the Sky is the Limit Sale-a-bration set.

I stamped the baby carriage three times in three different colors. I stamped the carriage in Archival Basic Black on the Very Vanilla layer, cleaned the stamp and then stamped the carriage with Watermelon Wonder on scrap vanilla. I cleaned the stamp again, then stamped the carriage again on scrap vanilla with Pool Party. I used the carriage framelit from the Baby's First framelits to cut out the Watermelon Wonder and Pool Party carriages. I used Paper Snips to cut carriages apart, then re-assembled the sections over the black-stamped carriage, adhering with Stampin' Dimensionals. The finishing touch is the stamped tiny twin hearts!

I adhered the finished card directly to the gift, (which was a filled with diapers, wipes, and the thank-you's) with Stampin' Dimensionals.

NOTE: Do NOT use dimensionals to adhere to the outside of a non-paper gift. This card FELL OFF the gift before it even left my house!

I adhered the finished card directly to the gift, (which was a filled with diapers, wipes, and the thank-you's) with Stampin' Dimensionals.

NOTE: Do NOT use dimensionals to adhere to the outside of a non-paper gift. This card FELL OFF the gift before it even left my house!

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Chaos!

Hey there! Just a quick post today. I am hosting my team Christmas party tonight at my house and I have a lot to get ready!

I spent last Friday sewing with Alisa. It was her birthday back in the middle of October and we hadn't been able to find a day that we could get together until then. I will have some pics of our projects we worked on soon!

Saturday was our annual "Payne girls" Christmas shopping trip. It's pretty much our only day that we can all get together, just us four girls:

I am so thankful that God blessed me with my three daughters!

Yesterday was church in the morning and the evening, of course, and in between we had three of Jessica's for the afternoon while Maddie Kate competed in a cheer competition. She is a freshman cheerleader at Sesser-Valier. Here she is with her mommy Jessica yesterday:

Today's card is the second in my 3-card series for the December Online Class. I used an Occasions Catalog set, Picture Perfect, to create a 3-step-stamping card:

I stamped the first layer of the rose on the Very Vanilla layer with Blushing Bride ink, the second layer with stamped-off Calypso Coral, and the third layer with full-strength Calypso Coral. The leaves are very lightly stamped with Sahara Sand ink.

I took the greeting from a new Sale-a-bration 2016 set, Hello. This is one of the sets you can choose with a $50 order starting January 5th!

The new Watermelon Wonder 1" Stitched Satin Ribbon blends perfectly with the Blushing Bride/Calypso Coral roses. I finished it off with a Very Vintage button and a bit of Basic Black Baker's Twine.
