Stampin’ Up! By the Bay!

Hey there! Today I have a simple card to share with you created with the Sale-a-bration set, By the Bay. I used the Emboss Resist Technique, one that I keep returning to often over the years.

After heat embossing the images with Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder, I used a Sponge Dauber to add color:

The embossed images "resist" the sponged color, hence the name Emboss Resist!

All of the images used on this quick and easy card are included in the By the Bay set.

I used Pool Party, Crumb Cake, and Soft Seafoam inks to sponge with a Sponge Dauber.

Stampin’ Up! By the Bay!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day SAB 2nd Release!

Hey there! It's time for Sunday Swap Day, the day when I share some of the swaps I receive from the monthly group I am in!

The 2nd Release of Sale-a-bration items went live on the 15th, but demos have been able to pre-order since February 1st, which why some of the swap cards I received this month were created with Limited-Edition Sale-a-bration products!

First, Ruth Bingle used Poppy Parade, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, the Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper, and the Country Floral Designer paper for her fun-fold swap! "lots of love" is from another Sale-a-bration choice, All Adorned. She punched the greeting with the Story Label punch, which you will be able to purchase starting March 1st!

The inside sentiment is also from All Adorned!

Next, Stephanie Flath also used Poppy Parade, adding Basic Black and a piece of Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper for her creation.

Stephanie inked the Painted Seasons bloom using the Baby Wipe technique, then stamped the greeting from Incredible Like You. She cut out the panel with a Rectangle Stitched Framelit.

Susie Wood used the Painted Seasons stamp set (part of a bundle with the Painted Seasons Designer Paper and a free choice with your $100 order) to stamp her own "designer series paper"! The greeting is from the Occasions Catalog set, Dear Doily.

Susie changed the soft-looking bloom to a bold one by simply adding an Early Espresso-stamped circle to the center with a Sponge Dauber!

Finally, Carol Slack stamped the bloom with Gorgeous Grape for the focal point of her fun-fold card.

The inside sentiment is from Humming Along, and the blooms are from Vibrant Vases.

Stampers Dozen Blog Hop January 2019 Let’s Sale-a-brate!

I used Sale-a-bration Home to Roost and four colors for a single-layer card:

I started by dragging my opened Sahara Sand inkpad across the bottom of a Very Vanilla Note Card. This technique is called "direct-to-paper". I then dragged Crushed Curry and then Cajun Craze, letting it look uneven and rustic.

I added the rooster, tall grass, and sentiment with Early Espresso ink, then flicked the edges of the card against the inkpad to "sponge" the edges.

I kept the inside super-simple by stamping-off the ink once before stamping the grass, and then stamping the sentiment with full-strength ink.

Stampin’ Up! So Hoppy Together for Jaxon!

Hey there! My grandson, Jaxon, was born on December 26th, so we celebrated his birthday yesterday. For Jaxon's card I used the Sale-abration set, So Hoppy Together and new Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies:

The frog print from retiring Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper coordinates perfectly with the So Hoppy Together frogs. This paper is on the Discounted Retiring List and is only available while-supplies-last. Order it in my online store today!

I stamped the So Hoppy for You frog, the flies, and the greeting all with Memento Tuxedo Black ink so I could color with my Stampin' Blends Alcohol Markers. I used the Granny Apple Green Light & Dark Markers and the Light Highland Heather to color the frog and the flies.

Inside I use new stamps from the Occasions Catalog bundle, Well Said.

I must say the die I used to cut out the Gorgeous Grape "happy" was a dream to use! The word practically fell out of the die!

My favorite thing about this card, though, is this phrase, also from the Well Said Bundle!

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala!

Hey there! I'm switching gears today to share a card I created with new products from the upcoming 2019 Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs. Demonstrators are preordering from both catalogs right now, but you can start ordering on January 3rd!

We'll make this card at my "Stampin' In The New Year" Birthday Card Stamp-a-Stack on January 1st with the Butterfly Gala Bundle and Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper:

I embossed the Whisper White background with the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I stamped the Butterfly Gala butterflies and greeting with Memento Tuxedo Black ink so I could color them with both Light and Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blends. I painted both butterflies with my Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush for some shine. I added a 1/2" x 2" piece of Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the tag. The Botanical Butterfly Designer Paper is only available from January 3rd through March 31st as a free gift you can choose when you place a $50 order.

I created the feathery bow by cutting a length of new Whisper White 5/8" Flax Ribbon in half, tying a bow, then coloring lightly with the Dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blend. To get the feathery look I gently pulled the fibers apart before adhering to the top of the Scallop Tag Topper-punched tag with a glue dot.

Inside I stamped another Butterfly Gala sentiment, then added butterflies with stamped-off Highland Heather ink.

I used a 1" x 5 1/4" strip of Botanical Butterflies Designer Paper to coordinate the outside and the inside.

I stamped more butterflies with full-strength Highland Heather ink.
