Stampin’ Up! Barn Door for Christmas in July!

Hey there! Today I'm sharing the final card I created for my Christmas in July class on the 28th! RSVP's for this class are starting to come in, get yours in soon!

We will use the Barn Door stamps and Sliding Door Framelits along with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder:

We'll use the Sliding Door framelits to cut out the wreath and bow, and then then add "snow" with Shimmery White Embossing Paste!

We'll use one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks with the paste to create the "snow drifts".

Inside the doors:

And then inside the card. We will add "merry christmas" from Better Together to the Barn Door sentiment.

Stampin’ Up! Heartland Barn Door Take 2!

Hey there! Last weekend I did a class for a dear friend of mine. She requested a Barn Door card with a red tractor, so I modified a card I have shown you already for her class:

We did a lot of sponging on the Pinewood Planks layer; on all of the layers actually. We stamped the door on a piece of Wood Textured Designer Paper for a more authentic look.

We used the Stamparatus to stamp the door on both sides of the Wood Textures piece, and used Real Red, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, and Early Espresso Stampin' Write Markers to ink the tractor stamp before stamping on the Very Vanilla layer. "Happy Birthday" is from the new Itty Bitty Greetings set.

On the inside we huffed our breath on the tractor stamp without re-inking, then stamped on the inside layer. The sentiment is from the Heartland set.

This card would also make a really great Father's Day card, don't you think?

Stampin’ Up! Barn Door Planter!

Hey there! Today we are coming to the end of my series of Barn Door cards. I turned the door into a planter for the roses from Petal Palette!

I embossed the Blackberry Bliss background with the Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. After stamping and cutting out the door I turned it on it's side to create the planter.

I colored the Petal Palette rose with Blackberry Bliss and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers, stamped on Very Vanilla, then used a Blender Pen to pull the color over the blooms. I added Clear Wink of Stella for some shimmer. I tied Blackberry Bliss Nature's Twine in a bow and added with a glue dot.

The Petal Palette sentiment fits nicely in the Classic Label Punch.

I breathed on the remaining ink left on the bloom image before stamping on the inside layer to get a lighter look.

Stampin’ Up! Barn Door Planter!

Stampin’ Up! Heartland Barn Door!

Hey there! Today I have another Barn Door creation to share with you! Once I started playing with the Barn Door bundle, more and more ideas kept coming!

Since the Heartland stamp set is farm-themed, I decided to pair it with Barn Door. I kept my color palette neutral, using Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla:

I stamped the Crumb Cake sign with Crumb Cake ink, then adhered with a dimensional under the sign and a glue dot at the top. I added Linen Thread with a glue do too.

Inside sentiment and scene from Heartland, with the edges sponged with Crumb Cake ink!

I didn't have a sponge handy, so I used a babywipe to sponge the Crumb Cake instead!

Stampin’ Up! Barn Door Double Doors!

Hey there! There are so many alternatives to the regular sliding door when you play with the Barn Door Bundle! I cut out two doors to make double doors, which is how a lot of barns were made back in the day, weren't they?

I cut a strip of Pool Party card stock 9" x 3 3/8", scoring 2 1/4" from each end to fold and add the doors. I laid a piece of Black Baker's Twine underneath to tie the doors closed.

I stamped the sign twice, once in Crumb Cake and once in black so I could cut out the "hello" panel to layer over the Crumb Cake one. I adhered with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional under the sign and a glue dot at the top of the "string".

I stamped the Barn Door sentiment first, then added "HAPPY BIRTHDAY' from Sunshine Sayings and the birdie from Sitting Here. I colored the birdie with a Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends Marker.

This was a fun card to make, but I still have more to share! Tomorrow is Sunday Swap Day, and then Monday I'll be back with more Barn Door!

Stampin’ Up! Barn Door Bundle!

Hey there! The Barn Door stamps and Sliding Door Framelits are carrying over to the new catalog! I've created six cards with this set, which I'm planning to share over the next few days!

The Barn Door set contains two wreath images, the door, door handle, a sign, and three sentiments. The Sliding Door Framelits contain 15 dies to cut out everything plus a few extras!
