Stampin’ Up! Mini Bunny Baskets!

Stampin’ Up! Mini Bunny Baskets!

Hey there! I was AWOL yesterday because I was sick with the respiratory flu. I ran a fever, runny nose, coughing, aches. I was a lump on the couch all day. The only thing I did was watch the final season of Downton Abbey. It's sad to see it go, but I have them all on DVD so they aren't really gone. Probably my favorite series EVER!

Today I am upright at the computer, and no fever right now, so I'm sharing the mini Easter Bunny Baskets I made a few days ago:

Stampin_up_friends_&_flowers_bunny_baskets_1_carolpaynestamps - Copy

I used my tutorial I posted for the mini Easter Baskets from 2014. You can find the tutorial HERE.

I simplified them by adding these adorable little bunny faces using Friends & Flowers from the Occasions Catalog.

I made all four with a different embossing folder for each one. First, with the Honeycomb folder:

Stampin_up_friends_&_flowers_bunny_baskets_2_carolpaynestamps - Copy

Boho Chic  folder:

Stampin_up_friends_&_flowers_bunny_baskets_3_carolpaynestamps - Copy

Elegant Dots folder:

Stampin_up_friends_&_flowers_bunny_baskets_4_carolpaynestamps - Copy

And the Woodgrain folder:

Stampin_up_friends_&_flowers_bunny_baskets_5_carolpaynestamps - Copy

I added the cheek blush with a pencil eraser and Blushing Bride ink. The paws are 1/2" circles cut in half with the paw lines hand-drawn.

These little baskets are perfect for just a small handful of jelly beans or chocolate! Here's the supply list for shopping in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.com

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Blooms and an Oops!

Stampin’ Up! Botanical Blooms and an Oops!

Hey there! We received a package right before Christmas from one of our farming landlords, an assortment of Omaha Steaks! My husband asked me to make a Thank-you for them, and I finally got a chance to make one this week. I used a card by Lisa Curcio as my inspiration to create this with the Botanical Blooms Bundle:

Stampin_up_botanical_blooms_1 - Copy

I cut the edge with a Botanical Builder Framelit and embossed with the Modern Mosaic folder.

Stampin_up_botanical_blooms_2 - Copy

I used Pool Party 3/8" Glitter Ribbon. It's so soft and sparkly!

Stampin_up_botanical_blooms_7 - Copy

I added Pool Party/Island Indigo blooms with Iced Rhinestone and Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Stampin_up_botanical_blooms_3 - Copy

I stamped "thank you" with the Tin of Cards set.

Stampin_up_botanical_blooms_4 - Copy

Botanical Blooms photopolymer contains 17 stamps!

Stampin_up_botanical_blooms_5 - Copy

I lined the envelope with a Bohemian Designer Series Paper design.

Now the oops. I made two of this card, one to mail and one for display. I wrote a note inside one, then popped in the mail. This morning while I was photographing this card I realized I mailed the BLANK card to our landlords! Guess I will be mailing this one to them too!

Stampin’ Up! Wonderland Brayered Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Wonderland Brayered Christmas!

Hey there! I've been working on the cards for my November Christmas Card Buffet. A friend has a stampin' party next week and asked for a lesson on brayering so I merged my two needs and came up with this:

Stampin_up_wonderland_brayered_1 - Copy

I bling'd it up with my Fine Tip Glue Pen and Dazzling Diamonds, but it's hard to capture the beauty with my camera. I used the Wonderland stamp set, brayering Soft Sky and Pear Pizzazz directly over it. I punched a 1 1/4" circle from a Post_it Note to brayer over, creating the "moon".

Stampin_up_wonderland_brayered_2 - Copy

I added tiny foil stars cut with the star die in the Perfect Pines Framelits Die set, then added a rhinestone that I colored with a black Sharpie!

Stampin_up_wonderland_brayered_3 - Copy

Inside is a repeat of the brayer technique from the front, with the addition of another phrase from Wonderland.

Stampin’ Up! Howl-o-ween Treat Birthday!

Stampin’ Up! Howl-o-ween Treat Birthday!

Hey there So many good ideas for Halloween decorating, greeting, and packaging on the hop yesterday! yay!

Today I'm sharing second card from the September Online Class. I used traditional Halloween stamps to create an out-of-the-box birthday card:
Stampin_up_howl_o_ween_treat_1 - Copy
This owl wears a birthday party hat punched with the Tree Punch, and he has a banner and a balloon from the Celebrate Today set!

Into the Woods Designer Series Paper creates the cheery background, and another Into the Woods design lends a "tree trunk" look!

The balloon is cut with the Balloon Framelits, and "CELEBRATE!" is punched with the Washi Label Punch.

It's very simple to create a party hat with the Tree Punch. All you need to do is line up the bottom of the tree with the straight edge of the paper when you punch. Tree-minus-trunk = party hat!

Stampin_up_howl_o_ween_treat_3 - Copy
Inside I cut a banner from more Into the Woods paper with the pennants framelit that is included in the Balloon Framelits. A sentiment from the Fabulous Four set finish it off just right!

Stampin_up_howl_o_ween_treat_2 - Copy

That's all for now. Here's the supply list for my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Heat Tool

$30.00
Glue Dots

$5.25
Tree Punch

$18.00

You will receive two of this card, in addition to four more cards, with envelopes and instructions, when you place an order of at least $35 in my online store by the 30th of September.

Three things to remember when placing your order:

1. All orders of any amount (other than Online Class orders) will receive a Thank You Project Packet in the mail from me.

2. Be sure to check out the Weekly Deals and Clearance Rack while you are shopping for savings ranging from 25% to 60% off!

Stampin’ Up! Monday Morning Mess!

Stampin’ Up! Monday Morning Mess!

Hey there! I was unable to get back home in time yesterday to add the names of the Sunday Swap Day card creators because the transmission went out in my car on the way home from TN yesterday. I know God was watching over me because:

1. The transmission went out AFTER I got through all of the construction/car wreck zone on I-24. If it had went out during the hour or so of just crawling along at 10 mph I would have had no where to go to get out of the way.

2. When I pulled over to the side of the road, I was only about 1/4 of a mile from an exit and it was DOWNHILL all the way to the exit! I was able to coast my car to the exit. When I got to the end of the off-ramp there were no cars coming and I was able to coast the car right into a filling station!

3. After we determined it was the transmission (my husband & I via the phone) my husband was able to borrow his brother's trailer to drive down and get the car and me. I was still about three hours from home, so I was prepared to wait.

4. I didn't have to wait by myself very long. My husband is the song leader at our church, so he had to call our pastor to let him know he would be missing the evening service and why. Our pastor's father-in-law, Tom Malone, lives just minutes away from where I was stranded. He called his FIL, who then called me. Bro. Tom picked me up from the filling station, took me to the evening service at his church, then he & his family took me out for a snack and kept me company until Mark arrived to load the van.

5. Mark had help from Bro. Malone and his son-in-law, Rick, to get the van loaded  and safely secured on the trailer, so we were on our way back to IL a little before 10 p.m.!

6. We arrived safely home around 1:30 a.m.

Needless to say, I slept in a little the morning, but when I got up I found this going on in my yard:

10941827_10204116400490886_3126015258303046914_n

I immediately snapped this picture, which prompted one of the workers to knock on the door to see if I was upset with them. They had tried to knock on the door and even rang the doorbell, but I was sound asleep until I work up "thinking" I had heard the doorbell. I think they thought I was a little bit crazy because I told them I just thought it was funny and ironic that on the day we have to leave my van out in the drive instead of under the carport is the day the tree trimmers come to trim our trees for the power company!

Another funny thought, isn't the "WORK AREA AHEAD"  sign they put in my yard supposed to be set up on a road????

Anyway, they were able to get the trees trimmed without any damage to my van, so it's all good!

That's all for now. I had a MOUNTAIN of laundry waiting for me when I got up this morning. My guys are pretty good about keeping things together around here when I'm gone, but the laundry got the best of them, I guess!

I'm going to go add the creator's names to yesterday's post and then get busy with my day! I have two parties this week and a presentation to make at the Spring Into Stamping event in Champaign, IL on Saturday! I have a lot to do!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!
