Stampin’ Up! Royal Peacock is Retiring!

Stampin’ Up! Royal Peacock is Retiring!

Hey there! The Stampin' Up! Retiring List posted yesterday afternoon! Some of the products are even discounted!

I'll post a link to the Retiring Lists at the bottom of this post, but I want to show you a card I made with the Royal Peacock Bundle that IS retiring. All of the stamps on the Retiring List will be guaranteed to be available through May 22, 2020, but everything else is WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!

I used the Retiring Noble Peacock Bundle, which includes the Noble Peacock stamp set and Detailed Peacock Dies, and Retiring Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper to create this card that would make a perfect graduation card for a girl or a boy!

Stampin_up_royal_peacock_carolpaynestamps1

After stamping the peacock on Pretty Peacock card stock with Pretty Peacock ink, I cut it out with a Detailed Peacock die. Before I adhered to a layer of Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper I added shimmer with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.

Stampin_up_royal_peacock_carolpaynestamps4

I stamped the greeting from Royal Peacock with Pretty Peacock ink on Whisper White, punched with the 2-inch Circle Punch, then layered onto Pretty Peacock punched with the now-retiring Starburst Punch. I added a few Noble Peacock Rhinestones, which are also retiring.

Stampin_up_royal_peacock_carolpaynestamps7

I added a bunch of Noble Peacock Rhinestones to the feathers.

The sentiments in Royal Peacock are perfect for a graduation card. Mailing cards is even more important this year with all the cancelled grad ceremonies, don't you think?

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style One More Time!

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style One More Time!

Hey there! I know I've been stamping and stamping and stamping with Ornate Style almost exclusively for the past three weeks, but I can't help it, I just love it and keep getting ideas of different ways to use it! Such was the case with the card I'm sharing with you today. I was inspired while watching another demonstrator's video with the Sepia technique. Although my card is not sepia, it is definitely monochromatic, and even though it seems like a fussy, complicated look to achieve, it's really very simple!

Stampin_up_mint_macaron_ornate_style_carolpaynestamps1

I combined Ornate Style with Very Versailles (for the faint ton-on-tone stamped script in the background). After stamping the script with stamped-off Mint Macaron on the Mint Macaron layer, I rubbed it all over with my embossing buddy before stamping the Ornate Style floral spray with Versamark and heat-embossing with White Powder. I darkened the leaves with Versamark ink picked up from the pad with an older Blender Pen, then colored the daisies and lower large bloom with White Craft ink with the same pen.

Inside I used a combo of sentiments from Butterfly Wishes and Itty Bitty Birthdays.

Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy Ornate Style!

Stampin’ Up! Night of Navy Ornate Style!

Hey there! The card I'm sharing with you today was created from an inspiration I had while I was taking a power nap yesterday afternoon. I woke with this idea burning in my brain, so here's my card!

Stampin_up_night_of_navy_ornate_style_carolpaynestamps1

I stamped the floral spray image from Ornate Style on the Whisper White layer before embossing with the Ornate 3D embossing folder. I then cleaned my stamp and stamped it on vellum to heat emboss with white powder. I then used my Paper Snips to cut out the individual daisies. After coloring the backsides with Light Night of Navy and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends, I popped them onto their place on the floral spray with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stampin_up_night_of_navy_ornate_style_carolpaynestamps3

I added pearls to the remaining flower centers.

Stampin_up_night_of_navy_ornate_style_carolpaynestamps4

I used a Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker to pull out just the "Prayers" from the Positive Thoughts sentiment "Hugs Prayers Love" before embossing with the folder.

Stampin_up_night_of_navy_ornate_style_carolpaynestamps5

Inside I used a sentiment from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! Highland Ornate Style!

Stampin’ Up! Highland Ornate Style!

Hey there! I decided to re-visit the Triple Time Stamping/spotlighting technique with the Ornate Style stamp set, so I used a completely different color palette of Highland Heather hues to create this:

Stampin_up_ornate_style_carolpaynestamps2

After stamping the large floral spray from Ornate Style in the center of the three layers of Whisper White card stock with Highland Heather ink, I colored with Stampin' Blends Alcohol markers. I chose to not color the tiny flowers I stamped around the edges so the colored spray would really "pop"! It's hard to see but I added Clear Wink of Stella to the daisies and the darker bloom at the bottom. After coloring each bloom with the lighter color I accented with the darker one of each combo before going back over it with the lighter color to blend and smooth.

Stampin_up_ornate_style_carolpaynestamps3

I love the light and airy feel the White Polka Dot Tulle gives, which I simply tied in a knot and trimmed the ends. The greeting was punched from "Hugs Prayers Love", found in Positive Thoughts. I added a Gorgeous Grape Glitter Enamel Dot, which is from my $50 ordering gift this month!

Stampin_up_ornate_style_carolpaynestamps4

I used all Highland Heather inside, adding another phrase from Positive Thoughts, which is one of my favorites!

Stampin’ Up! Sunburst Sailing Home!

Stampin’ Up! Sunburst Sailing Home!

Hey there! Today I have a set of Sunburst technique cards created with the Sailing Home Bundle and Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper! I'm playing with my designer papers before they go on the Retiring List next week!

Stampin_up_sailing_home_carolpaynestamps1

I used heat-embossing with white powder to create the greeting for this one that I also punched with the Tailored Tag Punch. I stamped the entire sentiment, "Let HOPE be your anchor through the storms of life" with Night of Navy ink on a scrap of white, then used Paper Snips to cut out the single word, HOPE.

Stampin_up_sailing_home_carolpaynestamps3

I used the entire sentiment inside:

Stampin_up_sailing_home_carolpaynestamps5

For my second sunburst Sailing Home card I used a top fold and a combo of heat-embossing first, then stamping over the embossing with the Night of Navy sailboat.

Stampin_up_sailing_home_carolpaynestamps6

I also used the "motion stamping" technique – stamping the sailboat multiple times without re-inking to get the look of movement. (I stamped from right to left)

Stampin_up_sailing_home_carolpaynestamps8

For my final card I turned the card landscape, then heat-embossed the lighthouse from Sailing Home before cutting with a Smooth Sailing die.

Stampin_up_sailing_home_carolpaynestamps9

I used the lighthouse inside the card too. I love it!

Stampin_up_sailing_home_carolpaynestamps12

The Come Sail Away Designer Paper will most likely be on the Retiring List that comes out on April 22nd, so don't wait! Order a package today!

Stampin’ Up! Quilted Ornate Garden!

Stampin’ Up! Quilted Ornate Garden!

Hey there! I love cards that look like quilting!

Stampin_up_quilted_ornate_garden_carolpaynestamps3

I used Ornate Garden Specialty prints that looked like quilt fabric, and Pear Pizzazz and Rococo Rose to match. I cut 1 1/4" squares of the flowery print to add to a  2 1/2" Pear Pizzazz square. I put the square on the diagonal to a 3 1/2" Rococo Rose square. I cut 1 1/4" squares of Rococo Rose print in half diagonally to add to every other square. After I adhering I ran the whole piece through the die-cutting/embossing machine inside the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder.

Stampin_up_quilted_ornate_garden_carolpaynestamps5

I embossed the Old Olive card front with the same folder before adhering the "quilt" with dimensionals. I cut away the outer edges of a Pearlized Doily to add to the center with liquid glue, then added a bow of Old Olive ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo pack with a glue dot.

Stampin_up_quilted_ornate_garden_carolpaynestamps6

I stamped the Ornate Thanks greeting with Mossy Meadow, then cut with an Ornate Layers die. I stamped a single bloom from Ornate Style with Mossy Meadow, then colored with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. After popping it up with a dimensional I added the tiniest of the Gilded Gems.

Stampin_up_quilted_ornate_garden_carolpaynestamps7

I learned this technique last year in Charlotte, NC from Colleen Magness  (NOTE: the product medley she uses in her video is on the Clearance Rack today for almost 1/2 price!) and was reminded of it recently by Julie Davison.
