Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style One More Time!

Hey there! I know I've been stamping and stamping and stamping with Ornate Style almost exclusively for the past three weeks, but I can't help it, I just love it and keep getting ideas of different ways to use it! Such was the case with the card I'm sharing with you today. I was inspired while watching another demonstrator's video with the Sepia technique. Although my card is not sepia, it is definitely monochromatic, and even though it seems like a fussy, complicated look to achieve, it's really very simple!

I combined Ornate Style with Very Versailles (for the faint ton-on-tone stamped script in the background). After stamping the script with stamped-off Mint Macaron on the Mint Macaron layer, I rubbed it all over with my embossing buddy before stamping the Ornate Style floral spray with Versamark and heat-embossing with White Powder. I darkened the leaves with Versamark ink picked up from the pad with an older Blender Pen, then colored the daisies and lower large bloom with White Craft ink with the same pen.

Inside I used a combo of sentiments from Butterfly Wishes and Itty Bitty Birthdays.

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Foils Triple Time!

Hey there! Today is the final day of Sale-a-bration, which means after today all of the fun freebies you can choose with your $50 order will be gone until next year! For my final creation with Sale-a-bration products I want to share with you a card I made with Flowering Foils Specialty paper and the Triple Time technique!

I layered the Flowering Foils Specialty on Balmy Blue mats, then sponged the edges with Night of Navy ink. The blooms are sponged with Night of Navy ink and the leaves with Pear Pizzazz. I wrapped Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Ribbon around the top layers and added a greeting from Itty Bitty Birthdays punched with the Classic Label.

I don't know about you, but I need a belated birthday card almost as often as I need a regular one. Those dates always sneak up on me, do they on you?

I finished the inside with another bloom clipped from the Flowering Foils paper.

Today's card I created for Logan's birthday with Nine Lives and the cat punch:

Logan and his wife, Faith, have three cats, so I tried to re-create each one.

First, meet "Holland". I stamped the cat image on Basic Gray with Basic Gray ink, punched with the Cat Punch, then added his coat markings with a White Stampin' Chalk Marker.

To create "Eileen", I stamped the same basic cat image on white, then added the coat markings with Basic Gray. I filled in with a Basic Black Stampin' Blend and added a Balmy Blue bow.

"Leo" is a traditional tabby, so I stamped the basic cat outline with Smokey Slate on Smokey Slate card stock, then stamped the tabby markings with Basic Gray ink.
