Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day on Monday!

Hey there! We had a wonderful family day yesterday celebrating our two September birthdays, Jessica and Grace! Just about everyone was able to stay all afternoon and into the evening. The weather was perfect for a family corn-hole tournament and the kids played outside all afternoon! Needless to say, by the time everyone left and I finished putting my house back together (which is what happens when 24 people are in and out all day!) I was ready to tumble into bed!

Today I have a collection of fun Christmas cards to share with you!

First, an elegant but whimsical Peaceful Deer card created by Audra Moncur:

She combined the stamp-and-punch bundle with the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder, Peaceful Prints Sale-a-bration designer paper, and Blushing Bride 3/8" Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon!

Karen Kurz also used the Peaceful Deer bundle with Peaceful Prints DSP, but she used a fun "quilt" technique to create the background:

Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Shapes Frosted Gingerbread!

Hey there! Today I have a couple more cards created with the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set, one with the Watercolor Shapes stamp set for the background!

These cards are both stamped on our Basic White Note Cards that come packaged with coordinating envelopes!

This card is simply stamped with Real Red and Cinnamon Cider ink. I added a 1/2" strip of Gingerbread & Peppermint designer paper at the bottom and a Gilded Gem in the snowflake center for a bit of shine.

Fun, simple, and very easy to duplicate!

Inside I stamped more images from Frosted Gingerbread and added another strip of the same designer series paper!

This card is stepped-up just a bit with the circle image from Watercolor Shapes stamped with stamped-off Crumb Cake behind the Just Jade, Real Red, and Misty Moonlight images for some depth and texture.

I used the same Frosted Gingerbread greeting from the first card. This card is also a Note Card size!

The Gilded Gems are so bright and versatile! I want to use them on almost all of my cards right now!

Inside the Frosted Gingerbread sentiment looks completely different with the stamped-off Crumb Cake behind it!

Stampin’ Up! You’re A Peach Pretty Pumpkins!

Hey there! Today I have a card I created just for fun! I used the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle with You're A Peach Designer Series Paper, which sounds like an unusual pairing, but I'm very pleased with how it turned out!

I embossed the 4" x 5 1/4" white panel with the Animal Print embossing folder, which seems like another dubious choice, but by embossing after adding the four strips of designer paper, the animal print looks like flowers to me!

I tied the bow with the Petal Pink 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon before wrapping the ends around to the back side of the layer and securing with Stampin' Seal. I added a glue dot under the bow to secure in place.

Inside I used a sentiment from Peaceful Moments and a die-cut from the Detailed Pumpkins Dies and You're A Peach Designer Series Paper.

I finished off the front with a Flirty Flamingo label Punched with the Everyday Label Punch and white heat embossed with a sentiment from Pretty Pumpkins.

I finished off the front with a Flirty Flamingo label Punched with the Everyday Label Punch and white heat embossed with a sentiment from Pretty Pumpkins.

Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies!

Hey there! Today's card was inspired by several different cards I've seen lately while browsing Pinterest. It always helps to look at other crafter's work for inspiration when your own is running low! I used Painted Poppies with white heat embossing and Gilded Gems to create this:

I adhered strips of Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, and Soft Suede to a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of Basic White before stamping with Versamark and heat embossing with white powder. I used a sentiment from Best Year for the birthday greeting. I finished off the card front with randomly placed Gilded Gems.

Inside I stamped the companion sentiment from Best Year with Flirty Flamingo and stamped the bloom with Coastal Cabana.

I stamped the envelope with the same bloom and inks.

A quick and easy, yet striking, birthday card!

Stampin’ Up! Penguin Place Fun-fold!

Hey there! Today I have a fun new-to-me fold to share with you! I have no idea if it has an official name, so I'm just calling it an Arm-Flap fun-fold! lol!

I used the Penguin Place Bundle of stamps and punch, with the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper you can get free right now with an order of at least $50 during the August – September Sale-a-bration!

The penguin is stamped with Tuxedo Black ink. I stamped the beak and feet with Flirty Flamingo ink, then punched with the Penguin Builder Punch. I stamped the hat and scarf with Fresh Freesia and easily cut them out with my Paper Snips. I added a few rhinestones to the card for some sparkle. The greeting is from Penguin Place, stamped on a narrow strip of white and then cut down even narrower with my Paper Trimmer.

The arm flap-fold is 1" wide x 4" long, scored at 2" so it can fold and be added under the white inside layer. I adhered the penguin, which I adhered to the circle cut-out from the front, to the end of the arm after closing the card to get the placement exact. I stamped a few sparkly snowflakes with Fresh Freesia.

The circle the penguin is attached to is perfect to cover up the inside I stamped with a sentiment from Tidings and Trimmings!
