Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies!

Hey there! Today's card was inspired by several different cards I've seen lately while browsing Pinterest. It always helps to look at other crafter's work for inspiration when your own is running low! I used Painted Poppies with white heat embossing and Gilded Gems to create this:

I adhered strips of Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, and Soft Suede to a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of Basic White before stamping with Versamark and heat embossing with white powder. I used a sentiment from Best Year for the birthday greeting. I finished off the card front with randomly placed Gilded Gems.

Inside I stamped the companion sentiment from Best Year with Flirty Flamingo and stamped the bloom with Coastal Cabana.

I stamped the envelope with the same bloom and inks.

A quick and easy, yet striking, birthday card!

Stampin’ Up! Layered With Kindness!

Hey there! Today at church our Ladies Friendship Circle is hosting a free day for girls, 2nd grade through high school, to learn crafts. The girls can choose from cooking/baking, sewing, jewelry-making, needlepoint, scrap booking, stamping, wreath-making, nail-painting, and a few more! I'm teaching stamping, of course, and will share my project here next week.

For my creation today I combined Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper with Layered with Kindness stamps and Label Me Lovely Punch:

This print from the Peaceful Poppies Designer you can let the paper do most of the work! Every time I've shared this card with my stampers their first reaction is "wait, do we have to stamp and watercolor those poppies?" They can't believe it's only paper!

I love this label, stamped in Tuxedo Black and punched with the Label Me Lovely Punch! I added a Noble Peacock Rhinestone and wrapped a piece of 1/4" White Crinkled Seam Binding and the card front was done!

Inside I stamped a sentiment from Peaceful Moments and a poppy from Painted Poppies.

Stampin’ Up! Under My Umbrella!

Hey there! January is a catch-up month for me. I try to use this month to put away all of my Christmas stuff (except for snowmen, who stay on display until at at least the end of February), as well as try to get some projects done that I don't have time for in the fall.

That said, I'm working right now on stamping projects for the next three months so I am ready when my newest granddaughter arrives on February 3rd (scheduled c-section). Today I want to share with you the card I created for my Yes Mam! Stamper's meeting last Saturday. We had a Shoebox Swap and had a blast making each other's cards!

For my Shoebox Swap I used the new Under My Umbrella Bundle from page 42 of the Spring Mini Catalog with From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper (pg 9 of the Spring Mini) I used the Umbrella Builder Punch to punch out the umbrella and the handle. I used my Paper Snips to cut out the rain boots.

I did a little bit of white heat embossing on the Real Red greeting strip to give a negative-image look to contrast with the blooms I stamped on the white background with Real Red ink. I dry embossed a layer of Flirty Flamingo with the Beads & Baubles Embossing Folder to give a look of raindrops.

Stampin’ Up! Happy New Year Happy New Catalog!

Hey there! I've been MIA for awhile, busy with Christmas and after Christmas festivities with my husband's family. With the advent of the New 2020 Spring Mini Catalog it's definitely time to get back into posting here on my blog.

Here's a little peek at one of the sets I've been playing with from the Spring Mini, Painted Poppies! This set is part of a the Peaceful Poppies Suite found on pages 24-27 of the Spring Mini Catalog. I used Poppy Parade, Basic Black and Whisper White card stock, along with both the Painted Labels Dies, Peaceful Moments stamps, and Poppy Moments dies!

I added a folded piece of Basic Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon and a few Peaceful Poppies Sequins for some sparkle.
