Stampin’ Up! Sunday Cards From Friends!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Cards From Friends!

Good morning! Instead of my usual "Sunday Swap Day", I have a small collection of cards I have recently received from stamping friends/customers to share with you today. Let's get started!

Angie lisk

From Angie Lisk. I love the multiple pennants Angie cut and layered on this card. Pretty much all of the supplies are retired (Angie is a faithful customer!), with the exception of the three Candy Dots in the upper left. Candy Dots are a colorful way to add the look of brad without the holes to pierce or the bulk of the brad legs! Similar to Pearl or Rhinestone Basic Jewels, they are self-adhesive!

Becky anderson

From Becky Anderson. Becky's cards are always so calm and peaceful. She is a dear friend I do not get to see often enough!

Crystal lopez

From Crystal Lopez. Crystal is another faithful stamping friend. She used the current Stippled Blossoms and the "hello" from My Friend. Her color combo is Pool Party, Island Indigo, Gumball Green, Wisteria Wonder, and Rich Razzleberry. I love the splotches of color she created with reinker and a water mister! Crystal is a true color artist.

Meg wheeler
Last but not least, Meg Wheeler, my dear fellow demonstrator friend, created this lovely card. Meg used a bit of retired Sale-a-bration paper, then paired it with Papillon Potpourri stamps and the Bitty Butterfly punch (on sale this month!), as well as Ovals Collection Framelits. The "hey there friend" greeting is from the My Paper Pumpkin first monthly kit you receive when you subscribe, so it's still available!

That's all for now! Of course it's Sunday, and there will be lots of family here for lunch after church so I need to fly!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Wildflower Meadow Once Again!

Stampin’ Up! Wildflower Meadow Once Again!

Good Morning! How's your weekend going? I "think" I may actually be starting to feel better! It's about time, right? I consulted with my pharmacist tonight at Kroger and he suggested I switch my daily allergy medication to another brand. I had heard, and he confirmed, that our bodies get used to using one kind all the time and it stops working, so every couple of years or so we need to change to another brand! Amazing! I had never heard of that until this year, but I think that may have been the root of my sick-i-ness!!!!!

We had fun at "SWOW" class yesterday with our three projects. I haven't shown you the third one yet, but don't worry, I will!

Today, though, I returned again to a few more of my monthly swaps using Wildflower Meadow again! I just LOVE this stamp set – it has it all – beautiful graphics, it's own built-in polka-dot background, and a matching Textured Impressions Folder! Yikes!

Denise Sullivan created this beauty with a Crisp Cantaloupe card base & ink, with accents of Crumb Cake!

What I really love about this card, besides the "best wishes" banner from Express Yourself and In-Color Crisp Cantaloupe Designer Paper, is her use of the Flower Fusion Sizzlet to create the adorable coordinating blossom embellishment! ALL THREE layers of flower can be cut at the same time with this die! Easy-Peasy!

Wildflower meadow denise sullivan

Katy Simecka created this fun card with the same Wildflower Meadow stamp, Gingham Garden Designer Paper, circle punches, Label Love stamp and Artisan Label punch. It's a little hard to see in the picture, but she finished off each circle with a layer of Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheet and Dazzling Diamonds glitter. It gives this set a whole NEW look, doesn't it?

One of the major things that I LOVE about Stampin' Up! is the way so many different people can start out with the same stamps, but by using additional products and different techniques, can end up with such VERY DIFFERENT BUT GORGEOUS results! It never gets boring, that's for sure!

Well, I need to get off here and get my workshops for next week prepped! I have a lot to do – I have four workshops in five days booked! Yikes!

Until tomorrow, hope your day Stampingrox!

Stampin’ Up! Dolled Up Birthday Kit and Mother’s Day Family Time!

Stampin’ Up! Dolled Up Birthday Kit and Mother’s Day Family Time!

Good morning! I had a FABULOUS day yesterday! My day started with church, which is not unusual for me on Sunday at all, but what made it even more special is my daughter, Kimberly, was asked to speak during the service. She spoke about God's timing being so much better than our timing. I was very blessed by her comments. Then after church we all went to Cracker Barrel for lunch, which of course was a madhouse, but the food was good, as usual, and I love it when we all go together "en masse"!There were 15 of us today. We were minus Logan because he is still in Rolla for his finals week coming up, then he will be home for two weeks before the summer semester. If all goes as planned he will be graduating NEXT May!

Here's a few pics from the day:

Johnny & co

Johnny showing Cohen the fine points of the game!

Mark & alisa

Alisa & her Daddy sharing a joke! (she's due in less than 10 weeks!)

Liam after

Liam all perky at the other end of the table!

I received some fun gifts from my kids, including a canvas of my 6 kids which matches my Facebook personal page header! I love looking at that picture, and now I will have one hanging in my home! Yay! (I have to admit, it sure is a nice perk to being the photographer's mom!)

Before I start my day today, I wanted to show you one of the cards we made at Krystal's party on Saturday using the Dolled Up Birthday Kit #133913 $15.95 :

Dolled up 1

Everything used on this card front is included in the kit, including the kit-exclusive photopolymer Happy Birthday! For the inside I sponged laid the Tea Lace Doily from the front on the cardstock, then sponged through the design and around the outside edges with the Sponge Dauber and the Soft Suede ink included in the kit. The only addition to the card NOT included in the kit is the inside verse from One In a Million.

Stampin’ Up! Print Poetry Birthday Set #2!

Stampin’ Up! Print Poetry Birthday Set #2!

Good morning! It's a "Liam day" again today, so I have just a few minutes before I'm off to his house!

Today I want to show you the second set of Print Poetry birthday cards I made!

Note: All samples shown today are©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Print poetry 7

This first one uses the some of the "pinks" pages of the Print Poetry Designer Paper Stack and a Naturals Ivory card base. The greeting is from the Occasions Catalog set, Make a Wish, and the gorgeous snowflake-y looking medallions are from the April Special set, A Round Array! I added the Raspberry Ripple In-Color Dahlia and the Rose Red 1/2" Seam Binding bow with Glue Dots.

Print poetry 8

My second creation with the "pinks" paper uses Pink Pirouette as the card base, which has been embossed with the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions Folder and the Big Shot. This time I used a Primrose Petals In-Color Dahlia and the same Rose Red 1/2" Seam Binding to make the bow.

Print poetry 9

On the inside I used Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers to ink up the "make a WISH" stamp, also from the Make a Wish stamp set. After I stamped in the center of the card, I continued with "generational" stamping by huffing on the stamp with my breath before stamping again several times without re-inking the stamp!

Well, that's it for today! Thanks so much for stopping in to see me!

Stampin’ Up! Rain or Shine, and YES I WAS FREAKED!

Stampin’ Up! Rain or Shine, and YES I WAS FREAKED!

Good morning! Just a REALLLLY quick post this morning! My sister-in-law, Debbie, and her daughter and grandson are coming today! They will most likely be here before noon, and I still have lots to do to be ready for their arrival!

To report about the 3rd season of "Downton Abbey": yes, I WAS freaked! Come on, killing off TWO primary characters in ONE season? Are you kidding me? But of course, you can't let people be really happy for very long in a soap opera, even a British one, can you? Looking forward to the 4th season NEXT YEAR! A long time to wait, but DVD's will help!

Today's quick card needs very little explanation. I've seen versions of this Rain or Shine card on several websites, so can't really give credit to one person, so I won't try:

Rain or Shine 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

The key to punching the 2 1/2" Circle negative image? Cut your paper strip to punch 2 3/8" wide, then leave an equal amount of space showing above and below the strip when you punch it (just a sliver shows top & bottom) like this:

Rain or shine 3
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

I used the Stamp-a-majig to stamp the umbrella handle. I usually try to purchase wood-mount stamps when the images beg to be Stamp-a-majigged like this one does! For me it's easier to stamp the image once on a piece of Cardstock Vellum with the wood block. I then save the stamped Vellum in the box with the stamps so I never have to re-stamp it like you do when you use a clear-mount stamp with the Stamp-a-majig. You KNOW the stamp on the wood block isn't ever going to move!

The inside is a clean and simple as the outside with a phrase from Friendly Phrases:

Rain or shine 2
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

That's it for today! I've got to get busy!

Until tomorrow, have a Stampingrox! day!

Stampin’ Up! Patterned Occasions Mambo Birthday!

Stampin’ Up! Patterned Occasions Mambo Birthday!

Happy Monday morning to you! In a few minutes I will be heading out for a "Liam Day", but before I go, I just wanted to share with you this second card from my "CampJustWannaStamp" this past Saturday. We used the free Sale-a-bration set, Patterned Occasions again for this one, only this time we used the elephant to make a "Mambo Birthday" card!

Patterned birthday 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

Why Mambo?  When my youngest son, Benjamin, was a little guy, (he's almost 6 foot tall now!) he LOVED elephants and his favorite movie was the Disney Classic "Dumbo". For some reason we never knew, he called all elephants "Mambos" from that point on!

This card is almost exclusively Sale-a-bration, from the Vine Street Textured Impressions Folder on the Crumb Cake cardstock, the Sycamore Street Designer Paper, to the Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack. The only non-SAB items are the punches used (2 1/2" Circle and 2 3/8" Scallop Circle), the Calypso Coral Baker's Twineand the "happy birthday" from Made for You!

Patterned occasions mambo 1
©Stampin'Up!™1990-2013

This birthday inside phrase is from Delightful Dozen, which makes a delightful completion to this card! lol!

Well, I'd better get off here and head to Liam's house! Looking forward to spending the day with him!

To place your order to get some of the Sale-a-bration items shown here for free go to my website:

www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Remember, you will receive three (yes, 3!) free tutorials via email from me when you place an order of ANY amount this month with me Online!
