Stampin’ Up! Sparkly Window Sheet & Brayer Tapping!

Good morning! I'm getting really excited! Just two more sleeps before I leave for Fiji! I can't wait! My first trip out of the country where I will actually SLEEP on foreign soil! (well, I guess I have slept in Canada, but it was years ago when I was on vacation with my parents, and Canada is just the "Northern Version" of America, so it hardly counts as foreign!)I'm not packed yet, but am a bit worried how I'm going to get everything stuffed into one suitcase with a 50 lb limit and one 15 lb. carryon! The airline is allowing one free checked back under 50 lbs, but another bag will cost $5 per pound! Yikes! Stampin' Up! always gives us great pillow gifts, so I am packing an extra medium-sized duffle to check going home just in case!

I know you didn't come here to learn about my travel packing woes, you came here to see some fun projects, and I don't think you will be disappointed!

First up, a cute masculine card created by Kathy Stephenson using a technique she calls "brayer tapping" with the Dapper Dad stamp set!

The wedding card created bySherri Beyrer using a Window Sheet, Creped Filter Paper, and Shimmer Paint with the Love & Laughter and Mr & Mrs stamp sets:

This card is even more sparkly, iridescent, and shimmery in real life than the picture can show! I love it!

Well, that's all for today! I have my "Best of" class here at my house this afternoon, then I must finish the preparations for the Fundraiser/Vendor Fair at the Lutheran Church in Nashville, IL for tomorrow!

Stampin’Up! Fan Fair Birthday!

Good Morning! My classes start this afternoon at 1 p.m., so I just have enough time to share on of my creations for "CampJustWannaStamp"! I used Riding Hood Red cardstock (which is retiring, so if you need some you'd better place your order this weekend while we have FREE SHIPPING, because when the supply is gone it will be gone forever!) I also used Curly Cute and Collage Curios stamps, and Fan Fair Designer Paper:

A quick and easy card that you could even make masculine if you leave off the Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding bow!

The banner strips on the front were pretty simple, just 3/4" x 5" strips of designer paper that I snipped up the center of each one with my Paper Snips, then cut in from each corner to the center to create the banner ends. Since they all started out the same length I layered them like this with SNAIL on the front:

Then flipped the card over and trimmed the paper strips above the top of the card even with my Paper Snips:

Stampin’Up! Button Buddies and Punch Elmo!

Good Morning! How are you today? I'm good. Still plodding away on the dreaded taxes. Yesterday I went with my daughter Jessica, to her accountant to take all of her tax information in and the lady had them done in a snap! Guess I did a good job compiling all the info she needed. Hope I can do the same for myself!

Today's cards are from the same monthly swap as the ones I featured yesterday. The theme of February's swap was Masculine or Children, and today's samples would fit in the "children" category, I think!

This first sample was made by Tamie Ackerson. She gave this little Button Buddies snail a fresh look with Tangerine Tango cardstock, Sycamore Street free Designer Paper, Sycamore Street free Ribbon & Button Pack, and "happy birthday" from the darling little greeting set, Made For You!

Darling little Elmo was created by Linda Pagel with scallop & circle punches and the same free Sycamore Street Designer Paper and Ribbon & Button Pack! "Wishing you a" is from the current Hostess Set, "Wacky Wishes"!

This inside greeting is also from Wacky Wishes.

That's it for today! In addition to working on my taxes more today I'm also prepping for a Stamp Camp in West Frankfort tonight! I'm really looking forward to a "tax break" to stamp with some realy fun ladies!

Stampin’ Up! Origami Dapper Dad!

Happy Sunday Morning! Just a REEEEAAL quick post today, not much detail to share, but wanted to let you see the card I swapped this month using Dapper Dad, Parker's Patterns Designer Paper, and the Sweet Buttons Embosslit:

That's all for now! Big family day today! We are celebrating my sweet hubby's birthday with all of our children and his mother at our house! I have a 5 lb. roast in the crockpot, a hashbrown casserole and cream-of-chicken-potatoes in the oven, and all the veggies ready to finish as soon as we get home from church. Each daughter is contributing something yummy, and there's a fresh gallon of vanilla ice cream in the freezer (my hubby LOVES ice cream!) It will be a day of grandbabies, fun, and family!
