Lilypad Lake Alaska Swaps!

Hey there! The Alaska Achiever's Blog Hop starts this afternoon at 4 p.m. here on my blog, but until then I have more creations from the swap boards to share with you. All five of today's cards are created with Lilypad Lake and the bundled Lakeside Framelits Dies! This bundle was one of the first ones I ordered when demonstrators were allowed to pre-order!

The creator of this cards sponged So Saffron ink on So Saffron card stock to help get the setting sun look. She also used a circle mask to sponge around for the sun. The sailboat silhouettes are simply cut from black cardstock!

The Ruffled Dynamic Textured Impressions folder creates a look of waves.

Sponging through a circle stencil makes a great sunrise or sunset!

Using the generation stamping technique is a great way to stamp these waves! "Generation stamping" means the image was not re-inked between stamping, so the color keeps getting a light shade as it is stamped up the card front.

Glossy card stock and an Itty Bitty Greetings sentiment add a lot to this card!

Stampin’ Up! Lilypad Lake and the New Catalog Begins Today!

Hey there! The New Annual Catalog starts today at Noon MT! I've been sharing sneak peeks for awhile, but now the catalog is LIVE and you can order the supplies! Yay!

For today's card I turned the presentation from portrait to landscape, brayering the same colors with the Versamark Resist technique. To view yesterday's card and the brayer tutorial, click HERE.

I cut the egret with a Lakeside Framelit.

I used the circle from Lilypad Lake to stamp the setting sun with Versamark before brayering the colors on the glossy card stock. I used a Journaling Pen to hand-draw the birds.

I cut the Lilypad Lake sentiment and the sea grass with Lakeside Framelits.

Inside I stamped a Special Occasions sentiment, then used the same brayer technique on the white layer. As you can see, you get a very different look with a different card stock!

Stampin’ Up! Lilypad Lake Versamark Resist!

Hey there! I've been stamping up a storm the past couple of days, getting ready for my New Catalog Open House on June 16th! I wanted to make more samples with the Lilypad Lake Bundle, so I used the Versamark Resist technique on Glossy Paper with Sponge Brayers to create this card:

I used Sponge Brayers to roll multiple ink colors over the waves and the setting sun I stamped with Versamark ink on a layer of Glossy card stock. I cut the sailboats from Basic Black with a Lakeside Framelit, adhering with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals for a silhouette look.

I stamped the sailboats directly on the waves stamp, turned it upside down and stamped with the black ink to get the "reflection" look! I love this sentiment I cut out with a Lakeside Framelit.

To achieve the sunset look, first I sponge brayered So Saffron ink on the top of the glossy layer. I had already stamped the waves and sun with Versamark. I brayered Calypso Coral ink next, but forgot to take a pic.

Next I brayered Pool Party:

Then Coastal Cabana:

Bermuda Bay:

Finally I added a bit of Flirty Flamingo right at the horizon.

Inside I stamped more Lilypad Lake sentiments and images:

Stampin’ Up! Lilypad Lake Versamark Resist!

Stampin’ Up! Sailin’ Away with Lilypad Lake!

Hey there! Today I have another Lilypad Lake card to share today, this time with the sailboats!

I used a nautical color combo of Pool Party, Night of Navy, Whisper White, and Real Red, embossing the Pool Party background with the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder:

I stamped directly on the wavy-lined stamp with the sailboats image to stamp upside down on the Pool Party-stamped wavy lines to look line reflection, then mounted the sailboats cut with the Lakeside framelit directly above with dimensionals.

The Lakeside Framelits contain TWO dies that are perfect for cutting out so many different greetings! Short, narrow greetings will fit in the Classic Label Punch, but these two framelits will fit longer and taller sentiments; a wonderful addition to your stamping arsenal!

I used a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to ink up only the "thinking of you" from the longer Lilypad Lake sentiment: "Thinking of you with loving thoughts and prayers".

This set is perfect for masculine or sympathy cards, but paired with phrases from other sets could be used for just about anyone! I'm really glad I've added the Lilypad Lake Bundle to my stampin' stash!
