Stampin’ Up! RemARKably Created Blog Hop: Sale-a-bration 2018 Kick-Off!

Hey there and welcome to the RemARKably Created Blog Hop featuring a kick-off of Sale-a-bration 2018! Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world are bringing you their best and favorite creations to get your creative juices flowing when the Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogs go live tomorrow, January 3rd!

Sabbloghop1-600x222

I am a Stampin' Up! demonstrator located in rural Southern Illinois in the USA for the past 15 years and have loved every minute! I've made priceless friendships with stampers and other demonstrators. Come along and take our hop to see what's in store for you during Sale-a-bration 2018!

Need a card to celebrate someone special? The Amazing You Sale-a-bration stamps and coordinating Celebrate You Thinlets Dies are perfect for the task!

Stampin_up_amazing_you_carolpaynestamps1

For the first time ever, Stampin' Up! has created a stamp set and coordinating Big Shot Thinlets for the Sale-a-bration brochure. If you're not familiar with Sale-a-bration, let me fill you in! From January 3rd through March 31st, every time you order $50 in Stampin' Up! products (before tax & shipping) you get to choose a free item from the Sale-a-bration brochure. So fun! With 13 awesome products to choose from, you'll want to make several orders (or one BIG order) over the next three months to get your favorite free gifts!

I started by embossing the  Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the Whisper White Thick card base, then added Picture Perfect Party 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper on a Basic Black mat. I used "celebrate" from the Celebrate You Thinlets Dies to cut my greeting from a Silver Foil Sheet.

I snipped the outside edge of a Mini Stampin' Dimensionals sheet to get the super-skinny pieces to pop up the greeting.

Stampin' Up! demonstrators get to order new catalog products early so we can play before the catalog starts. I added a silver/white tassel from the Sweet Soiree' Embellishment Kit to the end of the greeting for a festive look, securing to the card front with a glue dot.

Inside I stamped an Amazing You sentiment, the Sale-a-bration set coordinating with the Celebrate You Thinlets, with Basic Black ink. I cut Silver Foil with another Celebrate You Thinlet, adhering with Liquid Glue.

I stamped  "celebrate" multiple times with Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Pool Party, and Basic Black on the envelope flap! No naked envelopes!

Note: To choose Amazing You and Celebrate You Thinlets for free at the same time, you'll need to order at least $150 in Stampin' Up! products. This could work well for you, because with a $150 order you would also earn $15 in free products. Place an order of at least $250, (this can be your order and the orders of a few friends) and you will earn up to 5 free Sale-a-bration items AND get an extra $25 in free Host Rewards for a total of at least $50 in free products of your choice!

Now it's time to hop on to the next name on the hop list. Currently you are my blog, Carol Payne. Simply click on the name below mine or anywhere on the list and off you go to more happy projects!

Stampin’ Up! Bird Banter!

Stampin’ Up! Bird Banter!

Hey there! It was soooooo cold yesterday that out of 11 stampers that were planning to come to my Stampin' in the New Year Class, only TWO braved the frigid temps to come stamp with me! While I was a little disappointed, we still had so much fun laughing and sharing while they stamped! It really doesn't matter whether there are just a couple of us or a dozen, stamping is just plain ol' FUN!

Another card we made yesterday was this one that was originally created by my dear friend and team member, Linda Reaney. Linda attended the Stampin' Up! OnStage Live with me in November and received the Bird Banter set from Prize Patrol. Everyone in attendance received a Prize Patrol stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. I received a different set, which I will show you some creations from soon, but after Linda shared this card with our team at our Christmas Party I knew I wanted to include it in my class!

Linda combined a print from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper with Soft Suede embossed with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background to add a greeting from the Picture Perfect Birthday set and the friendly little parrot from Bird Banter. When we made this card at our Christmas party, I just fell in love with this little guy! He's soooooo cute!

We stamped him with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored him with the Light and Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends, as well as the Dark Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends on his beak. We used the Stampin' Blends Color Lifter to lighten some of his feathers. We also used the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends to color select leaves on the designer series paper.

Inside we used a Picture Perfect Birthday sentiment and added a 5/8" wide strip of DSP, coloring again with the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Blends. The tiny party hat in the bottom corner is also from Bird Banter.
