Stampin’ Up! Lighthearted Leaves for Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Lighthearted Leaves for Christmas!

Hey there! Ever since I received Lighthearted Leaves I've been wanting to make a Christmas card with the littlest leaf. It looks like an ornament to me!

Take a look and tell me what YOU think:

Stampin_up_lighthearted_leaves_1 - Copy

The "Believe" greeting is in Lighthearted Leaves too!

Stampin_up_lighthearted_leaves_2 - Copy

To give the images more "pop", as soon as I stamped each ornament/leaf and "Believe" I immediately sprinkled with Clear Embossing Powder and heated with my Heat Tool. The firm foam pads deliver more ink to the paper  so you can emboss if you work quickly!

DID YOU KNOW? Stampin' Up! now has a 1 1/2" Circle Punch! I totally missed this for the first FOUR MONTHS of the new catalog! (insert face-palm here) This punch is the perfect size to mount the ornament/leaves on.

Stampin_up_lighthearted_leaves_3 - Copy

Inside I stamped/heat embossed a sentiment from Versatile Christmas and more ornaments. I wanted to bring more interest to the inside so I simply cut 1/4" x 5" strips of the same Home for Christmas paper to add to the top and bottom. Sometimes just a sliver is all it takes to go from o.k. to WOW!

Here's today's supply list. Place your order in my online store: www.carolpayne.stampinup.net

Four things to remember while ordering:

1. All orders of any amount (except for Online Class Orders) will receive a Thank You Project Packet in the mail.

2. Be sure to check out the Weekly Deals and Clearance Rack while you’re shopping for savings ranging from 25% to 60%.

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Cozy Christmas!

Stampin’ Up! Jolly Cozy Christmas!

Hey there! Often when I play with my stamps I have LOTS of ideas, so I make multiple cards. Today's card is an continuation of my creative process with  Cozy Christmas. Last year I saw a card by Australian demo Teneale Williams that inspired today's card.

I used the Santa's sleigh from Cozy Christmas with a greeting from Oh, What Fun:

Stampin_up_cozy_christmas_4 - Copy

After heat-embossing the sleigh with white powder on Kraft card stock, I cut with the next-to-largest Star Framelit, then sponged with White Craft ink. I adhered to a Real Red layer dry-embossed with the Lucky Stars folder.

I heat-embossed "JOLLY" from Oh What Fun with white powder, then cut the end of the strip into banner points with my Paper Snips. After adhering with Stampin' Dimensionals, I added an adorable little star button from the Home for Christmas Designer Button pack. I threaded a piece of fiber pulled from the 1 1/4" Burlap Ribbon through the button before adding to the JOLLY banner with a glue dot.

Inside I heat-embossed a phrase and an image from Cozy Christmas and sponged the edges with White Craft ink.

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Shoebox Swap Part 3!

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Shoebox Swap Part 3!

Hey there! Today I have the final set of cards from my team meeting Monday night!

First, Cathy Lingle used Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum for her background,

adding a tag punched with the Scallop Tag Topper and stamped with a Versatile Christmas sentiment.

Stampin_up_versatile_christmas_1

We looped the Real Red 1/8" Striped Ribbon, securing with glue dots, adding the Snowflake Element, colored with Smoky Slate marker, covered with Versamark, and heat embossed with clear powder.

Stampin_up_versatile_christmas_2

Next, Bridget Willis combined  Happy Scenes and Cozy Christmas, using Hearth & Home Thinlets for the window. We added a "windowpane" with a Window Sheet!

Stampin_up_happy_scenes_1

We used a sentiment from Wonderland, masking a moon with a 1" circle.
Stampin_up_happy_scenes_2

Finally, Linda Reaney CASED this adorable Curvy Keepsakes Pumpkin box from Patty Bennett, with a few twists of her own.

Stampin_up_gorgeous_grunge_1

Linda stamped with Gorgeous Grunge, and created a jack-o-lantern face with the top of the Acorn Builder Punch and punching the teeth with the tip of the Tree Punch. The Tree Punch was also used for the Black Glimmer paper hat!

NOTE: We've had a death in Mark's family. The funeral is this weekend, so I won't be posting again until Monday. Please come back then!

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Shoebox Swap Part 2!

Stampin’ Up! Yes Mam! Shoebox Swap Part 2!

Hey there! I had a lovely day yesterday with Jessica! We usually take a day to go shopping sometime around her birthday, so we booked the day way back in August so we could make it happen!

Today I'm babysitting Liam and Darcy at their house. I'm making very slow progress on this blog post because we have started potty training Liam. He and I are running to the potty on a 15 minute timer! I brought along the swaps from the Mam's Shoebox Swap  Monday night so I could share a couple of cards with you. Hopefully I will get this post done before bedtime!

Becky Anderson used the Wonderland stamp set and Woodland Textured Impressions Folder for her simple-but elegant swap. The snow flakes were stamped with now-retired Metallic Gold Encore ink, but why not use it if you have it? The snowflakes and the greeting are both included in the Wonderland set, and the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum she used to stamp the greeting on is just the right touch!

Stampin_up_wonderland_1

Jan Lacey also used the Wonderland set and Woodland Textured Impressions folder for her swap that CASEd a technique and creation by Cynthia Millan:

Stampin_up_wonderland_2

This is a gorgeous technique I'd been dying to try!

Stampin_up_wonderland_3

We inked just the birdie from one of the stamps in the Happy Scenes set with a Basic Black marker to stamp on the branch, then colored with a Blender Pend and Real Red ink!

That's all for now! In addition to running Liam to the potty every 15 minutes (which feels like very 5 lol!) I'm on my new laptop and the mouse pad is extremely sensitive, which results in frequently erasing half of what I've typed every few sentences, eek! I've got to get one of my tech-savy sons to see if they can fix that for me!

Stampin’ Up! Festive Flower Builder Punch!

Stampin’ Up! Festive Flower Builder Punch!

Hey there! I hope you've had fun hopping through the Grand Vacation Achiever's Blog Hop! So many great projects I want to try, so little time! (sigh)

Today I have a new project I created using the Season of Cheer Designer Paper, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, and the new Festive Flower Builder Punch:

Stampin_up_season_of_cheer_1 - Copy

I used a "Z-Fold" layout to show off the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Poinsettia.

You may be looking at this flower and thinking, "Wow, that's an expensive flower to put on a card with ALL of that Glimmer Paper!", but actually all it takes is two 1"x 12" strips to punch all of the leaves and the center. That's only 1/6 of a 12" x 12" sheet, so not as much as even I thought it would take!

Stampin_up_season_of_cheer_2 - Copy

I scored the back side of each leaf with my Simply Scored and stylus to give them a little more dimension. The back of glimmer paper is slick, so it's a little trickier to score than regular card stock.

I embossed the inside layer with the Boughs & Berries folder and stamped two sentiments from Versatile Christmas with Night of Navy ink. I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the two coordinating sentiments to look like one phrase.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Lots of Joy!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day Lots of Joy!

Hey there! I'm back today for Sunday Swap Day! yay! All of today's cards are created with the Lots of Joy stamp set from the Annual Catalog:

First, Sandy Carlson  created a neat pull-up gift-card holder, using two prints from the Merry Moments paper, Real Red, Old Olive, Silver Glimmer, and rhinestones:

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_10

As you open the card it pulls up the gift card pocket!

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_11

Next, Peggy Murwin created a side-easel card:

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_7

This card makes a great table-top decoration:

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_8

There's even an extra greeting surprise!

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_9
Janet Wakeland used the Brick Wall folder as her background for her Merry & Bright greeting. The Cherry Cobbler Thick Baker's Twine bow really pops on the Crumb Cake "brick wall"!

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_6

My fellow Stamper's Dozen Blog hopper, Stella MacKay also used the Brick Wall folder for her background, adding touches of Silver Glimmer Paper and rhinestones for some sparkle!

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_5

Amy Combs used the Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions folder for her background, adding a bit of a Tea Lace Paper Doily, Gold Glimmer star, Brights Candy Dots (on sale this week), rhinestones, and a couple of White Perfect Accents. I love that she stamped her greeting and mounted the punched tree on a Project Life 3" x 4" Grid Card!

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_4

Karen Kurz also used Stylish Stripes to emboss her background, then cut a ring of Gold Glimmer to frame the ornament.

Stampin_up_lots_of_joy_2

Finally, Robin Merriman stamped the Hardwood background with Tip Top Taupe ink for a rustic look, pairing it with Real Red and Mossy Meadow. After punching her tags with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, she embossed the Real Red one with the Woodgrain folder:
