Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! It's time for Sunday Swap Day!

First, Carol Slack used the Inlaid Embossing technique with the Flourish Thinlets and the Flourishing Phrases stamps. She cut a mask with the Flourish Thinlets to sponge Sweet Sugarplum ink on the white  layer before adhering the cut-out Rich Razzleberry flourish. Then she  embossed  everything with the Elegant Dots folder.

Stampin_up_flourishing_phrases_carolpaynestamps1

Inside is more sponging with the mask and a Flourishing Phrases sentiment. Lovely!

Next, Jan Rodrian combined Wild About Flowers and Thoughts & Prayers with the "using a clear block as a stamp" technique:

Stampin_up_wild_about_flowers_carolpaynestamps

Th Reflection technique with  Lovely As a Tree arrived with no creator name.

Stampin_up_lovely_as_a_tree_carolpaynestamps1

Expertly stamped, masked, sponged, and glittered.

Katy Simecka embossed Lovely as a Tree on Copper Foil, then mounted on a sponged piece of This Christmas Designer paper. Classy!

Finally, Karen Kurz inked directly on the Woodland folder with classic inks and with Versamark before embossing with the Big Shot and then heat embossing the tree trunks with white powder. The sentiment from Tin of Cards balances well with the stamped critter from Foxy Friends.

These lovely little vines are included in Foxy Friends!

Stampin’ Up! September Paper Pumpkin Something Good to Eat Part 3!

Stampin’ Up! September Paper Pumpkin Something Good to Eat Part 3!

Hey there! I created today's projects with the September Paper Pumpkin, Something Good to Eat!

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps1

I made slider cards for candy wrappers!

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps2

I embossed Chocolate Chip  with the Boho Chic folder, layered with Halloween Night Specialty Paper. A Scalloped Tag Topper Punch tag was stamped with Paper Pumpkin September kit stamps.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps3

I used Halloween Night Baker's Twine for the "pull" and the tag'sdouble bow. I added a Halloween Night Enamel Dot.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps6

16 inches of  twine was wrapped around the candy, then put inside 6" x 5 1/2" Chocolate Chip embossed cardstock.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps7

I added Tear & Tape Adhesive to the long edges.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps8

I punched with my 1/8" Circle Handheld Punch.

Stampin_up_paper_pumpkin_candy_slider_carolpaynestamps9

I pulled the twine through the holes with a floss threader, tying in a bow.

I decorated  Twix ghost packages with another design from Halloween Night Specialty Paper. The ghost is from Sweet Home, cut with a Home Sweet Home Thinlet. "NO TRICKS JUST TREATS"  is from September Paper Pumpkin, cut with a Paisley framelit.

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Stampin’ Up! Sunday Swap Day!

Hey there! It's Sunday, time for more swaps! yay!

First, Karen Kurz used the Brick Wall Textured Impressions folder to create the background for this card using the Pretty Thankful set. After embossing the Cajun Craze card stock with the folder, Karen used her White Gel Pen to accent the lines of the bricks and to add little dots to give them more texture. She created an arched window behind the cut out tag by adding a simple punched circle. Flowers punched with the Petite Petals and Itty Bitty Accents punches finish off her creation.

Stampin_up_pretty_thankful

Next, Kelly Acheson used one of my personal faves, Definitely Dahila. She added a strip of Everyday Chic Designer Paper to the Delightful Dijon card base, then stamped a sentiment from Lovely Amazing You.

Stampin_up_definitely_dahlia

Amy Combs combined the Friendly Wishes set with Bohemian Designer Paper, adding the coordinating Bohemian Designer Washi tape to the end of her tag.

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_1

Finally, Luann (no last name given) used Friendly Wishes, Timeless Elegance Designer Paper, and the Fancy Fold Corner Technique:

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_ 2

The inside of the card front shows the flap even better:

Stampin_up_friendly_wishes_4

I NEED to learn how to make this card! It's on my list of "must do's" for after I get home from Convention!

That''s all for now. If you have a hankering to order any of the products you see used today, you can find and order them from my online store:

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Petal Potpourri!

Stampin’ Up! Vintage Petal Potpourri!

Hey there! How's your week going? I've had a pretty good one so far, I've accomplished quite a bit on my "to do" list and hope to check some more things off today!

One of the things on my list is prep for my Birthday Card Buffet later this month. Today's card using the Petal Potpourri and Lovely Amazing You  stamp sets has a soft, vintage look, even though it doesn't have ANY sponging on it!

Stampin_up_soft_sky_petal_potpourri_1 - Copy

I KNOW I can't believe no sponging either! I thought it was a RULE that in order for it to look vintage it had to have at least SOME sponging, but here we have it. It's vintage-y, sponging or no sponging!

Here's a trick to remember when you are combining stamping and dry embossing with a folder and the Big Shot: ALWAYS STAMP BEFORE YOU EMBOSS. Trying to stamp on the bumpy surface of embossed card stock is a nightmare. While there aren't very many RULES in stamping, I can give you three right off the top of my head:

1. ALWAYS STAMP FIRST, THEN PUNCH AND/OR CUT WITH A BIG SHOT FRAMELIT.

2. ALWAYS STAMP FIRST before you adhere to the card. There are TWO sides to every piece of card stock. Stampin' Up! high-quality inks do not bleed through our high-quality card stock, so you ALWAYS HAVE TWO SIDES TO STAMP ON.

3. ALWAYS STAMP FIRST, THEN EMBOSS with a Textured Impressions Folder.

Here's the greeting from this card inside the Lovely Lace Textured Impressions Folder:

Stampin_up_lovely_lace

Inside I combined the "you are amazingly Amazing" phrase from  Painted Petals with "happy birthday" from And Many More. I don't think I ever realized how pretty Sahara Sand ink actually is until I started using it for this card. I'm usually more of a bold color girl, especially for stamping words, but I find I love Sahara Sand!

That 's about it for now. I am listing the supplies for this card below so you can refer to it when you shop in my Online Store:
