Stampers Dozen Blog Hop August Color Challenge!

Posted on August 14, 2018 by Carol Payne

Hey there and welcome to the August edition of the Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! Our theme this month is this Color Challenge:

So summery, don't you think?

After I pulled out all three colors of card stock and inkpads, I was stumped for a bit. My first thought was a floral set, but then I pulled out the Time for Tea bundle!

I embossed the Crumb Cake layer with the Climbing Vine Textured Impressions folder, then used stamped-off Crumb Cake ink on the backgrounds of the white doily cut with a Spot of Tea Framelit behind the teacup and the greeting punched with the Pretty Label Punch. I added a Whisper White 5/8" Polka Dot Tulle bow for more girly-ness!

Inside I used another lovely sentiment from Time for Tea.

Now you can hop along to see what the rest of the Stampers Dozen Blog Hoppers have created with this color challenge. I'm sure you'll get inspired to dig out your stamps, ink, and paper along the way!

Today's supply list:

Time For Tea Photopolymer Bundle [148410]	Crumb Cake 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [120953]	Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad [147116]	Lemon Lime Twist 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [144245]
Whisper White 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [100730]	Flirty Flamingo 8-1/2" X 11" Cardstock [141416]	Melon Mambo Classic Stampin' Pad [147051]	Pretty Label Punch [143715]
Climbing Vine Textured Impressions Embossing Folder [147187]	Whisper White 5/8" (1.6 Cm) Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon [146912]

Stampin’ Up! Broadway Bound Cruise Swaps!

Posted on August 13, 2018 by Carol Payne

Hey there! My stint helping with the new baby ended last Friday, but with a granddaughter's birthday party, church, and the Perseid Meteor Shower to star-gaze with my husband, I've only had a chance to stamp ONE card! I will be sharing that card with you tomorrow evening when the Stamper's Dozen August Blog Hop goes live, but for now I'm sharing another group of swaps from the Alaska Incentive Trip swap boards.

Today's swaps all used the Broadway Bound Bundle and suite found on pages 68 & 69 of the Annual Catalog!

The "Hooray" greeting on this card is a two-step photopolymer stamp: one of the solid red, the second to stamp the polka-dot "lights"! See that tiny silver candle? It's from the Candle Embellishments pack!

This "card" is actually an embellished acrylic box to hold cards!

The Classic Label to punch part of the greeting, Broadway Lights Framelits to cut the "Wish", and a Red Rhinestone Basic Jewel for some bling!

Classic elegance of gold & black using updated Gold Glimmer Paper (thinner, less glitter shedding) to cut out the greeting!

Today's supply list:

Broadway Birthday Photopolymer Bundle [148321]	Broadway Bound Speciality Designer Series Paper [146277]	Basic Black 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon [144129]	Lemon Lime Twist 1/4" Ombre Ribbon [144234]
Basic Black 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [121045]	Whisper White 8-1/2" X 11" Thick Cardstock [140272]	Whisper White 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock [100730]	Candle Embellishments [146281]
Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad [147084]	Classic Label Punch [141491]	Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels [146924]	Gold Glimmer Paper [146958]
Metallic Pearls [146282]
